CHAPTER 58

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

Lady Anaya stood quietly in front of a large glass wall, watching as her maids moved around the front yard under the sunset. She looked distressed; it was unusual for Lady Anaya to be seen in this kind of mood, as she was known to always be prepared for everything.

Edith walked toward her, the orange light from the wall casting her show long and leaning on the floor. Edith noticed the look on Anaya's face and let out a sigh.

“I haven't seen that look in a while,” Edith said with a worried expression.

Anaya turned to her and smiled. “I'm fine, Edith; I just need a little time by myself,” she said, then turned back to the window.

“That worries me even more. Ever since you caught the criminal among the council members, you've gone from your usual bright and happy Anaya to whatever this is. If anything's bothering you, I'd be honored to listen,” Edith said softly, holding Anaya's hand.

Anaya turned to her and sighed again. Her gaze lowered to the ground, and

The pack was among the most powerful in its time, but after the entire family went missing mysteriously, the pack was attacked, and without an alpha to lead them into battle, all the worst wolves were killed. We didn't know where you came from, who you were, or what kind of position you held in the hierarchy of werewolves or humans. We found you in the forest, covered in serious burns and near death, so we had to rescue you.The head of the council, my lord, used magic to heal your burns and nurse you back to health. After your burns had vanished completely, he realized you were the Luna of the Black Burn Pack, but there was no one left to return you to, so he decided to keep you a secret from the world until you regained consciousness. He knew he had enemies in the council but wasn't sure who they were. He knew an attempt would be made to take his

They should be in these woods by nightfall; the spy says Derren isn't with them, so I'm sure it'll be easy to take them down,” one of Stevens warrior wolves said, stading beside Gregory on a large rock.“That's right, we'll have divisions positioned at every possible route leading to the Grey Wolf Pack. We'll also have warrior wolves stand guard all around the alpha's home in case some of them manage to slip past us. Our strategy leaves no room for errors as long as you all play your roles correctly. Do you understand?” Gregory said this to a group of warrior wolves standing beneath the rock he stood upon.Gregory was shirtless, and so we're the other warrior wolves who were there to fight with him. They all nodded after Gregory spoke and dispersed to take their positions.“Alright, I want two divisions attacking from behind the Blackburn wolves a few minutes after they decide which route they want to follow.

CHAPTER 61~3RD PERSON'S POV~Gregory sat quietly in an office provided to him by Alpha Richard. The office was dark as it had no windows; the only ventilation available in the room was air conducted through steel pipes channeled through the mansion to rooms without windows. The only light that could be seen was from a lamp that stood on Gregory's desk. It shined a bright yellow light on a piece of paper Gregory's eyes were fixed upon; he held a quill pen, and a small bottle of ink sat by his left-hand side.He dipped the quill into the bottle of ink and let out a sigh. “My lord,” he wrote.“Our battle against the Blackburn wolves was a great one with many difficulties, but in the end we came out victorious. The Blackburn wolves are not to be taken lightly, as these wolves were once rogues. The violent nature of the rogue and their unrestraint in matters of killing still course through their veins. I can already see that preventing them from taking the other packs will be a difficult

His eyes opened, and he turned toward the door and let out a sigh.“I guess it's time,” he said softly as he got up from his bed. He unbuttoned his shirt and took it off, leaving only his jean trousers. The knock sounded on the door again, and he said, stretching his arms, “Just a sec."He proceeded toward the door and slowly pulled it open, hiding behind it. The person at the door, who wore really dark clothing and had a mask on, saw that Gregory wasn't at the door, so he decided to step in.The person walked in slowly, then pulled a dagger from a holster around his right thigh. He looked around the room, searching for Gregory, and as he was about to turn around, Gregory walked out of the darkness, wrapped his left palm around the assassin's mouth, and wrapped his right arm around his throat. He tightened his arm around the person's throat, holding his mouth to prevent him fro

CHAPTER 63~GABRIELLA'S POV~The snow storm got really intense the further we went into the north. We were cold and hungry, and we had to rest a few times on the way. Valerie said our journey would only be two days long, but it already felt like weeks in the snow, and we hadn't even gotten to the Marigold Pack territory yet.“How much longer before we reach?” Marie yelled, her voice waning out in the loud storm. Valerie walked forward and stopped. “We should be there any minute now,” she said.“You said that like 30 minutes ago!” I yelled, sounding a little frustrated.Valerie turned to me and yelled, "I'm trying my best, okay? I didn't expect the storm to be this big. It usually isn't stormy here this time of the year."“Oh yeah? Now we're going to die out here in the cold, and no one's ever going to find us,” I yelled back.“You know you could just go back! We don't even need you in this; you'll only hold us back,” Valerie said angrily. I was about to speak when Marie placed her han

CHAPTER 64~GABRIELLA'S POV~“Wooo hooo!” I yelled ecstatically as I rushed out of the cave. The storm was finally over, and we could continue our journey smoothly. Our spirits were high again, and the hunger in our stomachs was soothed.Me and the girls laughed and played in the snow on our way to the Marigold Pack territory. Each time either of us got tired, we would lay on the ground, and the others would pull us by our feet until we were ready to walk again. We moved forward for a few more hours until we got to a large cliff. It was actually a large crack in the ground, and it went down for miles.“I can't even see the bottom,” I said as I stared down, laying on the ground. I picked up a rock laying beside me and dropped it into the gorge. I turned my right ear downward to hear if the rock made any sound, but it didn't.I got back on my feet and turned to Valerie. “What do we do now? There's no way to get across this; it's too wide,” I said, letting out a sign and walking toward t

CHAPTER 65~GABRIELLA'S POV~“Guys. Marie, Valerie, anyone?" I yelled as I walked through the forest with a worried expression on my face. Every single place was silent, and only the rustling of leaves under my feet could be heard. There was no wind, and the forest wasn't too cold, as the snow inside was a lot less than on the outside.I tried as much as possible not to touch any other trees as I walked through.“At least I know the other girls are going to find me soon. They can't move on without me; if they do, the trees will start moving again,” I said to myself, trying not to get too worried about going insane and dying of starvation.I continued to walk deeper and deeper into the forest quietly, hoping I wouldn't come across something life-threatening. In all my panic, I slipped on a rock before me and hit my head on one of the trees. As I fell to the ground, I groaned in pain. “Ugghhh, who put a rock there?” I asked as I massaged my head. We had no light or lantern to help brighten the place, so we all activated our werewolf eyes to be able to see clearly. We walked around the room we were in, examining the walls and floor, until we all finally walked into the middle of a circle at the center of the room. As we bumped into each other, multiple flame touches lit up around the walls one by one until it got to a large round wolf head on the wall.“What’s that?” I asked, staring into the wolf's eyes.“It's a wolf head made with stone. What do we do now?” Marie asked.Valerie looked around the room for a few seconds. She stopped her search at a small brick that bulged out of the wall. Then I walked to it. She pulled out the brick and dropped it to the ground, then pulled out a piece of paper that sat inside the hole in the wall.“Its blank?” She said with a confused expression on her face.“Blank? They had been waiting for Marie and the others to return for hours, but there was no sign of them returning at all.Clarabelle did well to protect everyone from the intense heat, and now that the sun had moved away from the earth, she was sure that Marie and her friends had won the battle. In fact, as the Immortal of Fate, she already knew they would win, and she already knew who would bring that victory, but she wasn't allowed to say a word to anyone. What she wasn't sure of was if they had survived or not, because she refused to look that far into the future.“Do you think they'll return safely?” Maria asked with worry in her voice. She has lost her husband before and was very afraid of losing him again.Clarabelle turned to her and saw the worry in her eyes, then turned away. “Let’s just be hopeful,” she said softly. A f

I put you to sleep for over four months to get some things done in your world. Now that my plot is complete, I'd like you to return and continue living the life you've always wanted,” Lunaris said with a smile.“Oh, you mean I didn't have to die for you to take my body?” Gabriella asked.“Yes, Gabriella. If everyone knew that you were still alive, they would not have grown as much as they have now... especially Marie. I had to make everyone believe that your death was necessary for me to come to this world, so that the plot I couldn't finish years ago would finally be completed,” Lunaris responded.“Oh, I can't believe it's been four months already. CHAPTER 307~3RD PERSON’S POV~Marie and her sisters, Cortana and Yuna, sat inside a large metal dome created by Angela. Angla had created multiple domes like this to accommodate the entire army of Vedantya, and this was because the temperature of the atmosphere has risen to an unbearable level. Daniella used her manipulation of heat to cool down the domes so the occupants wouldn't die of heat stroke. The air around the domes looked like it had been stained with gasoline fumes, and rocks around them had begun melting.Valerie tried again and again to open a portal but failed every single time. The spell that blocked her ability to use spatial magic wasn't very powerful but was somehow too complex for her to undo. It was like the spell reformed itself at light speed every time she broke it, and there was no way of stopping it.“This is bad. If we stay here longer than this, the whole world is going to melt down,” Angela said with worry on her face.“No, we can't give up yet; I'm sure I

CHAPTER 306~3RD PERSON’S POV~“What have you done to me?!!” Agnes yelled with a gory voice.“I poisoned you, Agnes. Ordinarily, poison wouldn't be enough to kill a witch like you, but depending on how powerful the poison is, it would be enough to weaken you. The souls of the fallen Immortals despise you, Agnes. But as much as they want to escape, as souls, they're not nearly strong enough to go against the spell you put on them. It's just like Sabbath and Mary; without Mary's body, Sabbath can't use his power. So, without Agnes's body, the immortals are weak to her spells. But spells require serious mental concentration and physical reinforcement to hold together, and once those two things weaken, the spell comes apart and the souls of the Immortals have their chance to escape.” Agnes gripped her stomach tightly as she felt an agonizing pain coming up. She bled from her nose and mouth as the souls of all the Immortals began seeping out of her body and flying off. “After the Immor

All four of them still had that eerie smile on their faces, and their eyes still glowed bright red, making them look like their minds were being controlled. They walked into the glass building and led Mary to a magical elevator that didn’t require electricity to work. Mary had her guard up, prepared to launch an attack at anyone who tried to annoy her. At this moment, she was already very pissed off, and anyone who tried to attack her now would be walking into their grave. The elevator door closed and started to rise up the building. Everyone was unusually quiet, and none of Mary’s escorts wanted to make eye contact with her. Mary watched them through the glass wall in front of her—they looked like dolls, stiff and lifeless, like they had been programmed to only move when they were given orders. The elevator rose for over tw

They all fought with rage in their hearts, determined to end the battle as quickly as possible, but the Asuras were just too many. It didn't matter what the team did or what amount of power they used; the Asuras just kept coming like an endless sea of stars. The Asuras armor-like skin had become so strong that Edith's blade and Anima Morning Star both broke on impact. The two Immortals had to summon their weapons again and again during the fight just to avoid getting killed. They had to look for a new way to kill these Immortals, and that way was to attack them at points where their armour didn't cover—the gaps in the skin that revealed their glowing orange flesh. Targeting these parts was especially difficult for the werewolves because they didn't have long-range weapons, and getting too close t
