CHAPTER 129

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

Clarabelle sat on a throne at the center of the dark forest. She had an emotionless expression on her face and had some strands of her hair hanging in front of her face.

A large nightwalker laid beside her throne, and she used her left palm to gently pet its head. Her fingers brushed through its fur, and it released what looked like black dust into the air.

She let out a sigh and closed her eyes. As she did, a large portal appeared before her. The portal glowed purple and swirled around in an anticlockwise direction.

“Hmmm, you're back,” she said softly.

All four of her minions walked through the portal, THE UNKNOWN being the first to come out.

He bowed to Clarabelle, then said, “My queen, we have returned from our mission. The first and second phases of the plan were successful. We successfully killed all the council members and replaced them, and we were able to fool Lady Anaya into revealing the existence of werewolves.”

“That sounds… splendid,” Cla

Tell me everything.” The policeman who was interrogating Anaya said.“I refuse to answer any silly questions until my lawyer gets here,” Anaya said. Inside these four walls, I'm in charge, and I get to do whatever I please with you if you refuse to comply." The policeman said, his brows furrowing as he leaned forward.Anaya stared at him for a moment, then said, “You really have no idea who I am, do you? You're about to die, and no one's going to save you, Anaya,” the large woman spoke again.Anaya let out a sigh and closed her eyes. She got up from where she sat and put her hair in a bun, then opened her eyes. Her irises glowed golden yellow, and she spoke again.“I said kneel."The energy from her immense aura suddenly filled the room, and all four women who came in fell on their knees. The pressure on their bodies increased again, and they fell face-flat on the ground. The ground inside the cell broke to pieces, and the rubble was instantly flattened by the pressure.“What’s happening?” One of the women struggled to ask as blood spilled out of her mouth.“If I raise the energy in this room any further, your bones will be crushed, and you will be flattened instantly. CHAPTER 132~3RD PERSON’S POV~A white piece of chalk suddenly materialized in Mary’s right hand. She crouched down and used the chalk to draw a magic circle on the ground, then drew a straight line from its center to its circumference.“How did she do that?” Lily whispered, leaning toward Marian, who stood beside her.“Do what?” Marian asked. “She drew a perfect circle and a straight line with only her hand. How much of a perfectionist does she have to be to be able to do that?"“There’s a technique I use. It’s not too complicated, but I don’t think it’ll ever be of use to you since you’re not a witch like me,” Mary replied, staring at the circle. She raised her head and smiled at Lily, then continued, “If you wish to learn it, I can teach you.”“That won’t be necessary,” Lily replied, stroking the back of her head and giggling nervously. The chalk Mary held transformed into a needle, and Mary turned to Gabriella. “This circle represents the map of the abyss realm, and the line tha

CHAPTER 133~3RD PERSON’S POV~Maria’s house was quiet; the only sound that could be heard was that of an afternoon breeze blowing through her gardens. Maria walked around the large barn Derren built, feeding the livestock. She had already cleaned up the entire house and watered all the plants, and all that was left now was having breakfast. She opened the front door and walked in. Her eyes had dark sacks underneath them, and her hair was a mess. She looked exhausted and weak, and she found it hard to walk around the house without bumping into random objects. She staggered to the kitchen and served herself some spaghetti on a flat ceramic plate. She moved to the dining room and sat on one end of her table. As she placed her meal on the table, she stared at it for a moment, then picked up her fork. She stabbed the fork into the spaghetti strands, twirled it around, and as she raised it to her mouth, she stopped.Tears rolled out of her eyes, and the fork dropped from her hand back onto

Who are you?”“What do you mean by that? I'm your husband,” Derren replied, sitting up.“You’re supposed to be dead! I mean… How are you alive right now?” Maria asked, backing up against the bedroom wall.“I didn't actually die; I was trapped in the realm of the abyss. The little witch named Mary helped release me before the demons there got the chance to actually kill me,” Derren replied.Maria stared at him for a moment, then said, "So... you're actually here right now?"“Yeah, I'm sorry I left you alon-” Derren was about to speak when Maria suddenly wrapped her arms around him.“Shut up! CHAPTER 135~3RD PERSON’S POV~"Hmm, how do you find an abyss demon?” Anaya thought to herself, pacing around in her living room. She had her right thumb and index finger holding her chin and her left arm around her lower torso. As she walked back and forth, she recalled her conversation with Mary.~A few hours ago~“Abyss demons are afraid of witches? Why is that?” Anaya asked with a confused expression.“To be exact, abyss demons are afraid of the energy we emit. From birth, a witch constantly releases a kind of dark energy that will instantly burn and kill an abyss demon if it comes into contact with us. So, they’d never try to harm a witch. But Demons like THE UNKNOWN and the other three are immune to this energy,” Mary explained.“Because a witch who can emit enough energy to affect the lords… doesn’t exist." Anaya said.“Yeah, something like that,” Mary replied.A smirk grew on Anaya’s face as she remembered her battle with Mammon. She could clearly remember that Mammon yelled i

As you already know, all the council members have been replaced by abyss demons. This not only risks the integrity of the werewolf world, but also the safety of their families. The mission she has for you is to get all the other alphas to help take the families of the deceased council members away from their homes to protect them and kill the present council members before they cause irreversible damage to the peace on the planet."Steven stared at Gabriella for a moment, then said, locking his fingers together, “Sounds like a doable task, but I'm pretty sure she knows that the number of packs that agreed to the merge I planned was reduced during the war with Alpha Derren, so most of the other packs are not under my contr

They had been waiting for Marie and the others to return for hours, but there was no sign of them returning at all.Clarabelle did well to protect everyone from the intense heat, and now that the sun had moved away from the earth, she was sure that Marie and her friends had won the battle. In fact, as the Immortal of Fate, she already knew they would win, and she already knew who would bring that victory, but she wasn't allowed to say a word to anyone. What she wasn't sure of was if they had survived or not, because she refused to look that far into the future.“Do you think they'll return safely?” Maria asked with worry in her voice. She has lost her husband before and was very afraid of losing him again.Clarabelle turned to her and saw the worry in her eyes, then turned away. “Let’s just be hopeful,” she said softly. A f

Now that my plot is complete, I'd like you to return and continue living the life you've always wanted,” Lunaris said with a smile.“Oh, you mean I didn't have to die for you to take my body?” Gabriella asked.“Yes, Gabriella. If everyone knew that you were still alive, they would not have grown as much as they have now... especially Marie. I had to make everyone believe that your death was necessary for me to come to this world, so that the plot I couldn't finish years ago would finally be completed,” Lunaris responded.“Oh, I can't believe it's been four months already. CHAPTER 307~3RD PERSON’S POV~Marie and her sisters, Cortana and Yuna, sat inside a large metal dome created by Angela. Angla had created multiple domes like this to accommodate the entire army of Vedantya, and this was because the temperature of the atmosphere has risen to an unbearable level. Daniella used her manipulation of heat to cool down the domes so the occupants wouldn't die of heat stroke. The air around the domes looked like it had been stained with gasoline fumes, and rocks around them had begun melting.Valerie tried again and again to open a portal but failed every single time. The spell that blocked her ability to use spatial magic wasn't very powerful but was somehow too complex for her to undo. It was like the spell reformed itself at light speed every time she broke it, and there was no way of stopping it.“This is bad. If we stay here longer than this, the whole world is going to melt down,” Angela said with worry on her face.“No, we can't give up yet; I'm sure I

CHAPTER 306~3RD PERSON’S POV~“What have you done to me?!!” Agnes yelled with a gory voice.“I poisoned you, Agnes. Ordinarily, poison wouldn't be enough to kill a witch like you, but depending on how powerful the poison is, it would be enough to weaken you. The souls of the fallen Immortals despise you, Agnes. But as much as they want to escape, as souls, they're not nearly strong enough to go against the spell you put on them. It's just like Sabbath and Mary; without Mary's body, Sabbath can't use his power. So, without Agnes's body, the immortals are weak to her spells. But spells require serious mental concentration and physical reinforcement to hold together, and once those two things weaken, the spell comes apart and the souls of the Immortals have their chance to escape.” Agnes gripped her stomach tightly as she felt an agonizing pain coming up. She bled from her nose and mouth as the souls of all the Immortals began seeping out of her body and flying off. “After the Immor

You’ll end up hurting everyone around you,” Agnes said. “But I’ll have you to slap me back to my senses before that happens, right?” Mary said.Agnes smiled. “Yeah, but next time I’ll make sure to slap you even harder so you get knocked out before coming back to your senses.” Both she and Mary laughed together, and the four teachers just stared at them with confused expressions on their faces.~•••~“I lied to you the other day, Mary. They walked into the glass building and led Mary to a magical elevator that didn’t require electricity to work. Mary had her guard up, prepared to launch an attack at anyone who tried to annoy her. At this moment, she was already very pissed off, and anyone who tried to attack her now would be walking into their grave. The elevator door closed and started to rise up the building. Everyone was unusually quiet, and none of Mary’s escorts wanted to make eye contact with her. Mary watched them through the glass wall in front of her—they looked like dolls, stiff and lifeless, like they had been programmed to only move when they were given orders. The elevator rose for over tw

It didn't matter what the team did or what amount of power they used; the Asuras just kept coming like an endless sea of stars. The Asuras armor-like skin had become so strong that Edith's blade and Anima Morning Star both broke on impact. The two Immortals had to summon their weapons again and again during the fight just to avoid getting killed. They had to look for a new way to kill these Immortals, and that way was to attack them at points where their armour didn't cover—the gaps in the skin that revealed their glowing orange flesh. Targeting these parts was especially difficult for the werewolves because they didn't have long-range weapons, and getting too close t
