ANSEL'S POV

Under the dappled sunlight filtering through the thick canopy of the tall trees, I found myself being led into the woods by one of my guards. The rustling leaves and the soft hum of nature surrounded us as we ventured deeper into the heart of the forest. My curiosity mingled with a hint of trepidation as I wondered who I was going to meet. Hopefully someone with good intentions could help Valerie.

The guard navigated the twisted paths with an uncanny familiarity. My senses heightened by the serene surroundings couldn't help but steal glances at the towering trees and the play of light on the forest floor. My ears caught the sounds of squirrels hunting for food.

After a while, we arrived at a secluded hut surrounded by a garden of herbs and flowers. An old woman, her silver hair cascading in gentle waves, awaited us. Her eyes, weathered by time yet brimming with wisdom, met mine with a knowing gaze.

"Ansel," the guard spoke, his voice respectful. "This is Juno, a healer. S

Valerie POV★Under the shroud of the moonlit night, I raced through the dense thicket, my breaths coming in ragged gasps. Sweat glistened on my brow as I maneuvered through the twisting branches, guided only by the dim glow of the moon filtering through the leaves.A sense of urgency gripped me, my heart pounding in my chest. The bush echoed with the ominous rustling of unseen forces. The cool night air offered no respite as I pressed on. My senses heightened to every sound. The echo of footsteps, not entirely her own, mingled with the bush.I risked a glance over my shoulder, glimpsing fleeting shadows that seemed to materialize and dissipate in the moonlight. Fear surged through my veins, and instinct drove me deeper into the embrace of the bush.My mind raced, attempting to fathom the identity of my pursuer. The darkness concealed the threat, leaving me with only the unsettling knowledge that something, or someone, sought me relentlessly. An abrupt rustle in the underbrush sent me

KADEN'S POVI walked into the temple of the moon goddess; it was just a few meters away from our mansion. I could have used the one we have in our mansion but I chose to go to the one we have no control of.It was massive and was covered with drawings depicting the deeds of our fathers and the advent of the worship of the moon goddess and the establishment of her worship amongst us. My eyes were weak and my heart was heavy with sadness, the sort I had never suffered before. Had we been nice to Valerie, had we been good mates to her the way we should be, she wouldn’t have in any way been in her recent condition.I felt tears well up in my eyes, blurring my view as I walked into the temple, looking up to the altar of the moon goddess which was laced with candles and was made up of the arc of the moon and a massive image of the moon goddess, the goddess of our ancestors. The tears finally found their way down my cheeks and stretched as far as my neck, soaking into my shirt. On a normal

ANSEL'S POV★Kaden stretched his hand towards the box to pick the antidote I made out of the pink mushroom I got from the old lady’s crib, but I shrugged off his hand and glared at him.I had made an antidote that would suit my plan for Valerie, who I had so far sensed had ruined us so badly we needed to get rid of her the right way without being violent. I had so far feared that my brothers would ruin my secret plans if I made them part of it.“Pink but liquid.” Kaden cried. “Are you sure of this?”His brows went up and his lips moved a bit. He was wary of what I brought. But how dare him worry over what I brought for Valerie’s cure?I closed the box.“Don’t be reckless, bro.” I returned the box to my pocket. “We must go home right away and save a life.” Grey scuffed and looked at a squashed cigar on the floor.“That’s exactly what we wanted to do before you walked in.” Grey walked over to my side. “Where did you get it from?”His breath smelled of cigars.“From the same city Kade

GREY POVA part of me was glad. At least, Ansel found the antidote but the other part of me was super sad. The assurance was not there. There are chances Valerie will survive, and there are chances she won’t.I whispered prayers to the moon goddess on her behalf and followed Ansel to the convoy, but Ansel was quick to hop into his own car and shut the door. We used to ride in the same car and do a lot of things together until we brought Valerie back to our pack. That was because each of us were hiding the weakness we had developed for her from each other. No one wants to be deemed weak and romantic. We all want to be seen as strong, but I didn’t expect Ansel to still keep to such terms now that I and Kaden had shown him how down to the earth we are for Valerie.Kaden and I chose the same car, and there, it didn’t take time for us to prove to each other once again that we were truly in love with Valerie. She is so lovely and in fact everything we need in a woman, but we had been a pil

ANSEL’S POVThe sound of the glasses shattering and a great rumbling outside called my attention to the room. I stood from where I had been sitting and dabbing tears in pretense and ran to the room, only to meet Kaden punching pieces of glass into the wall, not minding the fact that the sharp glasses were cutting through his palms, causing blood to drop on the floor.I scooted closer and saw the window. Someone was either thrown out of it or someone jumped out of it. My eyes darted towards Valerie’s body. It was lying in its place, not touched by both Kaden and Grey.I had thought the two of them would leave the room as soon as they set in and see her body lying dead in the room. They had always done that way whenever any of Grey’s men died. How come they had both lost their mind over the death of Valerie. Is that how weak and senseless they had become. I was furious with myself, furious with them and furious with Valerie who caused all this thing.I raised my hand to touch Kaden’s b

ANSEL'S POV★“I’m burying her today.”Kaden was donning a black suit. The wound on his palm was tied with black clothes, which signified he was mourning Valerie who according to the custom of our pack is meant to be buried today. He said nothing to me. I looked at his feet and saw it bare. He does not have his shoes on. What sort of a person will mourn the dead without shoes but would comfortably tie his wound with a black cloth.I scooted closer to him and sat next to him on the bed. The last time we sat together was when we had time to sit on our three thrones. I sighed and he shrugged. He was in his saddest mood. “I said I’m burying her today.” I repeated, waiting for his response. He scuffed and tilted his head east. His lips seemed to be tied with an invisible chord. He just doesn’t want to utter a word to me about the burial of Valerie.“You don’t want to say a thing…”“I’m not burying her!” he snapped. “I can’t bury her. Not ever.”“But you hated her. It was easy to seduce the guard Ansel placed by the car that bore Valerie’s body.I enjoyed fucking the guard’s senses off and hitting his smashing his head with a stone when he climaxed and poured his cum in me and wiped his dick on the lining of my ass.I could remember him dropping to the earth like a log of wood, his fingers twirling on the earth and his legs wobbling. SkylarI felt dizzy and the world spun around me. I barely had time to figure out what was going on or what had happened when I felt myself shift and my knees hit a cold and hard ground. I was supposed to be dead. I was this close to getting my head chopped off. The last thing I remembered was the guard with empty eyes raising a machete while Ramona and Coral watched me with amusement as I was about to be killed. I had accepted my fate because not only was I helpless, it was Grey who had asked for me to be killed but-Light. A light erupted, bright and blinding as it shone through the room, affecting me even more because it appeared so close to me. And now, I was here. A cave. The air was thick with the smell of moss and something I couldn’t quite place my hand on, the air was also moist and shadows were cast on the stone walls by the moonlight that shone into the tiny opening of the cave. A lantern was on but it was not bright and I blinked rapidly as I tried to figure out wh

KaidenI was in shock. Skylar was gone. One minute, she was kneeling in the middle of the hall, bleeding, wounded, her voice hoarse and broke as she begged Grey to tell them to stop. She was screaming, scared and trembling from all the exhaustion. Then in the next minute, as the guard raised the machete to behead her, a bright light shone through the room. And a figure emerged out of nothingness. It was the girl that had saved me- the one that had healed me and found a way to lessen the effect of the poison that had been given to me. The girl was facing away from us so I could see the look on her face. Coral looked surprised and so did Ramona- they had been looking for the girl and she had just appeared in front of them out of nowhere. Before I could figure out why she was here, she placed her hand on Skylar and they both disappeared. Gone. Like they had never been there in the first place. I stared at the empty space- the place she had once been, begging- and my body went ri

RamonaAfter Coral stalked away with a cold unreadable expression on her face after we had argued and I was left standing there confused. I didn’t understand why she looked at me like that. Like she was hurt that I had gone against her and she wanted to hurt me and draw my blood. I didn’t mean to go against her but, her saying I should stop my marriage to Grey was unbelievable. She knew this was what I had wanted for a very long time. I wouldn’t just throw all of it away because I wanted to please. Because Skylar had disappeared. We were in power now- in control, no one was going to win against us and I was sure we would find Skylar in no time. So, I didn’t know what the fuss was about. I dismissed everyone and stormed back to my room, not waiting for Grey to follow me. If he was really under my control, he would know what to do. Getting to my room, I slammed the door shut behind me. The sound of the door closing had echoed through the room and it felt like the walls were comin

My fists curled at my sides and turned away from the crowd towards Ramona, glaring daggers at her.“This is all your fault,” I gritted out through clenched teeth, my voice dangerously low and venomous. Ramona blinked, surprised but quickly regaining herself. She let out a scoff, rolling her eyes as she waved her hand i

ValerieI smiled in my head, satisfied when I saw that Coral was now plotting against Ramona. One thing about who has a thirst for power that wasn’t theirs or people who loved making people suffer was that they didn’t trust anyone- not even theirselves. And now that Coral had asked Ramona to do something not Ramona straight up rejecting and refusing to do it, Coral mind was made up that she was going to be eventually betrayed by Ramona. But my victory was bitter because even as I savored my success, I learned something else- something that made my insides burn.Ramona was planning her engagement to Grey and the thought of it alone made me sick.Even after all she had done, after taking away his free will, after turning him into her puppet- she still wanted more. She wanted to own him completely and I wanted to scream. GreyI was drowning. Not in water. Not in blood. In her.I had to put up with Ramona, be with her all the time while acting lovingly. Her presence felt suffocating, filling every part of me, twisting my thoughts, coursing through my mind and making me desire her even if I really didn’t want to. I could still feel her magic coursing through me, strong, unrelenting and taking away my willpower as she forced me to do as she wanted. My body obeyed each and every of her commands- in fact, she didn’t need to tell me to do something before I did it sometimes. The words that came out of my mouth were what she wanted to hear and my hands did as she wanted- whether it was a massage, a hug or a cuddle. And I hated it.I hated every second of this existence.Hated the way my own body betrayed me, the way I knew I was doing something monstrous but couldn’t stop myself. Most of all, I hated what I had done to them.Kaiden. She widened her eyes in surprise and looked at me like I was crazy, making me drop my hand and roll my eye in response. She pulled me close to her and wrapped her around me for a hug. I stood stiffly in her arms and wondered why she was hugging which spiked up my suspicion. I pulled away from her and eyed her with suspicion. Ramona blinked at me, her expression smug. “Why did you hold me by my mouth?” She asked in amusement. “Now, I’ve lost my train of thoughts and I can’t remember the last thing you said. Plus, you looked tense, that’s why I hugged you, maybe that would help.”“You never stop talking, do you?” I asked as I slightly bent my head to the side, studying her. She let out a small and soft laughter, it was the best sound ever and on normal days, I would have laughed along with her but now? It only made my skin crawl. “I had a vision,” I said, my voice blunt a

I had been twisted uncomfortable while asleep that my bed was now tangled and the pillows on the floor. The blanket I had used to cover myself was all tangled up with my legs and it felt like I was being dragged to my death- a cruel death with unending torture. For a moment, I could still feel myself falling, I could still hear the cruel and malicious sound of Ramona’s laughter as she pushed me off the edge of a cliff, making me fall down to my death. My hands trembled as I curled my fingers around the sheets, gripping the mattress. I let out a small sigh as I forced myself to take slow, steadying breaths.
