By the time I got to the palace hall, everyone was seated except Axel.

“Where is your brother?” I heard my dad roar.

I rolled my eyes in frustration. Not again!

I turned back to find Axel. He was just about to leave his room when I met him. He had a frown on his face and looked like he would punch anyone who stood in his way.

“Father asked for your whereabouts,” I said, trying to sound as calm as possible.

“He can go fuck himself for all I care,” he said stiffly and walked past me.

We got to the hall and took our seats. There seemed to be a kind of calm in the palace. No one said a word. It was as if we were all waiting for judgment to be passed.
