Chapter 108

Ismena's heart skittered to a stop, stalled, and ran away from her chest. Is this a dream?

She blinked, hard. Her heart pounded in her chest as she opened her eyes again, half expecting the man standing a few miles away from her to disappear.

He didn't. "W-Wolfaraine...?" She called breathlessly, uncertainly.

"You look like you have seen a ghost, Ismena." He drawled, his eyes running lazily over her body.

Even from the three-hundred feet's distance between them, she still felt the effects of his eyes running through her body. Her belly fluttered, her heartbeat quickened, and her nipples hardened, which told her more than anything that he is real. He is back.

A small smile played around his lips, "I never thought it was ever possible to see you tongue-tied. You missed me that much?" Satisfaction coursed through him.

Then, he began covering the distance between them. That was when Ismena noticed the slight change in his regal stride.
