After five months....Akari eased out of bed and made her way toward the bathroom. The baby seemed to be growing in leaps and bounds every single day, and that meant he was pressing on Akari's bladder more with every day. She had been deeply asleep in her bed when the pressure woke her up, that she wasn’t even sure she was going to make it to the bathroom in time and wouldn’t that just be perfect? To make a mess on Nikolai's floor! She was hurrying, trying not to wake her mate, but hadn’t gone more than a few steps when she was suddenly swept up in strong arms and pulled up to Nikolai's chest. “Where do you think you’re going?” Akari gave an undignified squeak and flailed out at Nikolai's arms, and tried punching him. She hated being manhandled by the big prince she was married to, but even with the extra baby weight she was carrying, the man still outweighed her by fifty pounds of pure muscle so there wasn’t much she could do about it. “You’re going to find out in about three sec
When Akari woke up the next day, sunlight was already streaming in the windows, and then she gradually became aware that two people were leaning over the end of her bed, discussing her in quiet tones. “Do you think we should go get somebody?” “No, I don’t think so. She’s still breathing, see? Her chest is going up and down.” “But I called her name and she just made that funny sound. I don’t think that’s normal.” “Maybe it is for humans. Father says our mother does it all the time when she lies on her back. He says it’s called ‘snoring.’” Akari opened one eye all the way and peered down the bed at her tormentors. Nikolai's little brothers, Nicarr and Laurel were standing at the foot, looking up at her with curiosity. “What did your brother tell you two about knocking?” Akari said, then close her eyes again. “And what time is it anyway?” “Time to get up, Akari,” Nicarr said, coming
The Exhibition Games were played in a huge, round, dusty amphitheater, lined with tiered seating, and currently occupied by a raucous, noisy crowd. The atmosphere inside reminded Akari a little of unruly soccer fans back home. Vendors prowled the aisles selling banners from the various battle teams, along with packaged food and bottles of alcoholic beverages. Loud music blared over the speakers and some werewolves were cheering on their teams and slapping down money on the bench seating as bets were lost and won all across the arena. Nicarr was bouncing with excitement as they made their way to the king’s box. Once they reached it, they would be completely enclosed in heavy, unbreakable glass, but it was the getting there that was the problem. The young men inside the arena were mostly both rowdy and drunk, though good natured enough. Akari was a little horrified, though, that she’d brought the two young boys to such a place. She knew enough about crowds to know that their mood coul
Akari looked so small lying in the hospital bed that was designed to fit werewolves. Nikolai was sitting beside her bed, holding her hand and smoothing the hair from her face, thinking of how badly he wanted to spank her little ass when she woke up. He wouldn’t, of course, or at least he wouldn’t until she’d safely delivered the baby and recovered her health. Then she’d give her nightly spankings, no matter how prettily she begged him to stop. In fact, the idea of the spankings and her begging made Nikolai hard that it makes him uncomfortable sitting in the chair. Nikolai heard Akari sighed in her sleep and he immediately leaned over and gently kissed her still pale face. Even though the doctors had assured Nikolai that both Akari and the baby were fine, he can't stop worrying.. That fall had been a shock to Akari's system, that the doctor actually had given her a mild sedative just to calm her down, which was why she was still sleeping. The doctors wanted to keep her until morning
Nikolai moved back to hover over Akari's wet hole where he traced delicate circles with his tongue. His tongue darted out to lick at Akari's sweet juices then softly mumbled. “Settle down now. You shouldn’t be getting yourself so excited. It’s not good for the baby.” His hands held Akari in place, exactly where he wanted her, and he slanted Akarina stern look. “Now be good and tell me you understand.” He opened his mouth and a long tongue slipped inside her wet hole. “Tell me.” Akari moaned and shook her head wildly, and Nikolai grinned down at her. "Such a stubborn woman.” He lift a hand and thrust a finger inside her and crooked it to find her sweet button. Akari screamed again and surged first toward him and then away, unable to decide what to do, where to go. Nikolai pushed in another finger and plundered around to join the first. Akari rocked her hips to the rhythm of those talented fingers and sought to bury him as deeply as she could. Nikolai's fingers danced inside her and
Much later, Akari was doodling on a pad of paper by her bed while Nikolai dozed beside her. She poked Nikolai in the side and held out the paper to him. “I like this name,” she said, pointing at the name she’d written. “Nicole. It’s so much like Nikolai, and since it’s also my middle name, I was thinking…” she looked up at her husband and smiled. “It will represent me some too. What do you think?” “Yes, it’s good. But I don’t like the way you spelled it. We’ll spell it N-i-k-o-l. It’s a good, strong name and looks more like mine.” Akari rolled her eyes and smiled. “Okay, Nikol it is, but the next one will be named after me.” “Anything you say, my dear wife. I’m very easy to get along with.” He looked up at Akari as she laughed. “Why is that so funny?” He pulled Akari's hand to his lips and kissed it. “I apologize for ever believing you could have been involved with FeRes. I can’t tell you how sorry I am for not totally believing you and for sending you away when I did. If it’s any
Akari scooted back against Nikolai as she spooned him. The hard, steely planes of his body felt so much warmer than any human’s. It was always surprising to Akari and felt wonderful in the middle of the night in this cold palace. The weather at the Kingdom was considered fairly cold year round by human standards. And a Werewolf had warmer body temperatures, a characteristic that may have evolved due to the colder climate, so that's why Nikolai didn’t always understand how chilly Akari found the palace to be and often complained about how warm he kept their room. The temperature outside rarely rose above forty degrees, and despite the braziers that were kept running full blast day and night for the comfort of the humans inhabiting the king’s quarters, it was still downright cold in the ancient stone palace for Akari and the king’s human consort, Beatrice.Akari and Nikolai had sex before they settled in for the night. Actually they had fallen off each other in exhaustion after making
Since Akari had first heard of them, she had been fascinated by the concept of the Exhibition Games. They were a popular, once quite bloodthirsty sport that took place in the national arena, though now, prisoners were no longer executed in this way, and it was rare that a serious injury ever even occurred. Akari knew Nikolai loved nothing better than to fight in the Exhibition games, held every Eightday, which was a non-work day for most on their cities, and sometimes Akari went with him to cheer him on from her seat in the king’s box. Akari liked to watch the matches, but after a while she found it boring to simply look on, and more and more the idea grew in her mind that she wanted to be out on the field herself. Now she’d come up with this great idea for the humans to form their own team and Nikolai had immediately shot it down. Akari had made the wager to gain his agreement, as she knew Werewolves loved gambling. At the games, the young men bet wildly on each match and small fort
