At the City

Now, after Evans and his family were through with their lunch, he appreciated the self acclaimed chefs for the meal. Although, it was not as pleasant as the food prepared by his wife or the chefs but, it was not a bad attempt.

“Thank you, George and Lilian, for the sumptuous meal. You are the best.”

The excited siblings smiled shyly and acknowledged.

“Thank you, dad.”

They were pleased with their father's compliment, but their joy would not be complete without their mother's opinion. So, they shifted their looks from their father to her with expectations. Meanwhile, she was carried away with the chat with her siblings over the phone that she was oblivious of their gazes.

“I will be in my study.”

Evans announced as he attempted to stand up from the dining chair. At that point, Sarah recollected herself and looked away from her phone.
