Chapter Eighteen

As Evelyn continued to gist with her long-time friends, it felt like old times. She was the only orphan amongst them but they treated her like family. It was one of the best moments of her life, the time they all spent together. Life had separated them but they've been reunited and now she wouldn't let anything come between their friendship.

It was almost noon and Victor suggested to take Evelyn and Rebecca out. He had to convince them to go with him and eventually, they both agreed. Evelyn went to her room to get changed into a formal dress and Rebecca followed after.

"Why did you agree to go?" Rebecca said

Evelyn looked back at her friend "I feel a little cooped up in this castle, and I want the three of us to be friends again"

"Really?" Rebecca asked

Evelyn replied "Yes. I don't know why I'm the only one trying to make this work"

They entered Evelyn's room and searched for a dress.

Evelyn brought out two of her best dresses, one of color blue and the other red. "What do you think

    Michael was relieved that his wife was healed, but his only concern was how. He had no choice but to allow Victor to save her with his vampire blood.As soon as they arrived at the castle, he saw his parents, sisters-in-law, and Rebecca waiting outside. It had been a while since he had cooked for his wife, so he decided to surprise her with her favorite dish- Chicken fried rice with salad. When he was done cooking, Michael went back to the room with a tray filled with the meal he had cooked for Evelyn. He saw her shaking in her sleep and put down the tray.     Evelyn opened her eyes from her sleep. Still feeling drowsy, she sat on the edge of the bed and felt pain all over her body- a mild migraine and the itching on her stomach that hurt.
