Accepting a stranger's proposal

" Olivia lane

 Twenty two years old 

Date of birth : 16th august 2000

Her parents are divorced 

has a brother who recently got into an accident. 

Her mother owns a small eatery and they live in one of this old buildings here in lA .

Finished high school but didn't go to college 

So they are basically poor and that's exactly what we need ".

 David read out the file about the things he was able to gather about Olivia to Christopher who just sat down with a stoic expression on his face .

What exactly led her to trying to get herself killed ? He couldn't wrap his finger around it until now .she must have been frustrated .....

The fact that he had at one point in time tried killing himself made him understand her .

" Christopher !" David yelled bringing his friend out of his thoughts .

" What are you thinking about ?" David asked while christopher just shrugged .

" I already sent her a package that she cannot refuse and she'll realize you are not an insane stalker so let's just wait for her to contact you " . David said and Christopher didn't miss out the mockery in his friend's tone .

He just glared at him while fighting the urge to strangle him .

Olivia dropped the bag she was packing for her brother who is still in the hospital to answer the knock on her door .

Who can it be ? 

She walked to the door and opened it briefly .

" You have a package " the delivery man in front of her said stretching a box at her .

She smiled .

" Wrong address " she replied ,she had never ordered for anything or gotten any package because ordering meant paying more money .

" Aren't you Olivia lane ?" The delivery man asked showing her ,her boldly written name on the package .

She took the package and signed before locking up the door while contemplating whether to open the package or not .

What could it be ?  

Can it be a bomb ? She threw the box on the floor afraid .

Well to find out whatever it is and whoever it's from she needs to open the box so she picked it up and placed it on their fragile center table in their sitting room.

She stood miles away stretching just her hand with a knife and opened the box .

She sighed when she figured out it was just a document in the box .

She picked up the document with 

" MARRIAGE CONTRACT " boldly written on it .

Wait ....can it be ? No ... She shrugged of the thought that it might be that insane stalker. 

She carefully read through the contract , hissing and laughing at interval until she saw the amount she would be paid. 

"$50000" just for six months! 

She swallowed hard the saliva in her throat .

Who is that man for him to be this filthy rich ? 

She saw the logo of the company on the paper and she gasped with shock ! 

Andrews holdings ! Her dream company ! 

" I thought I told you the other day .... I'm Christopher Andrews ..."

"Or I lose my family's inheritance....it's just for six months and after six months you get a huge amount of money while I get what I want ! Win win right ?". 

 Everything he said that day started to make sense ,no it can't be ! His card ! She needs to find the card he gave her that day ! She rushed into her room scattering everything her hand could touch until she remembered she dropped it inside Matilda's purse that she borrowed to the party that night .

" Hey do you still have the purse you borrowed me that night we went to the club ?" Olivia asked hoping her friend had not discarded the card .

" Wait .... Don't tell me you frightened me few hours ago just to ask about a purse ?" Matilda asked .

" It's life and death so tell me do you have it ?" Olivia asked ignoring her friend as she walked into her friend's house. 

" I have it " Matilda answered .

Olivia sighed gratefully as she rushed into her friend's room and grabbed the purse ,she saw the card carefully placed inside the bag and she smiled .

Finally ! On the card she saw the name Christopher Andrews and the company's logo was there ,his phone number and position as the CEO is also boldy written there.

" What's going on ? " Matilda asked looking at Olivia who is laughing hysterically .

" So you mean the heir to the Andrew holdings was the stranger who asked you to marry him ?' Matilda asked not able to get over the shock she was also feeling .

Olivia nodded gently ....

" What are you going to do ,you are not possibly considering doing it right ?" Matilda asked .

" I'll do it !" Olivia responded and Matilda raised her brows at her .

" You are crazy " she replied laughing .

" You can't possibly be serious ....." She continued in between laughter .

" I am Tilda ....it's 50000 freaking dollars we are talking about here ! Just for six months ! " Olivia replied smiling .

" You know it can't be that simple ....what if he's a fake ? What if he's really a stalker ? And are you really going to marry a man you don't even know just because of money ?" Matilda asked and olivia threw her hands up in surrender .

" He's not a fake Tilda .... I'm certain he's original plus it's not a real marriage ,it just six months and I'll take the money and finally get to live my dream !" .

Matilda just shook her head at how crazy her friend sounds .

" What about your mum ? Will she ever let you do such a thing ?" 

Olivia rolled her eyes at her friend who is so determined to discourage her .

" When we get to that bridge we'll cross it ....what matters now is accepting the deal " she replied and picked up her phone to dial the number on the card .

It rang for a while and she decided to speak first before she might decide to change her mind when he picked up .

" It's Olivia lane ..... I'm ready to get married to you Mr stranger ". She confidently said .

" You are crazy !" Matilda laughed.
