TIME TO MOVE ON

I sat alone in our old apartment, staring at the empty space where my wife's belongings used to be. It had been months since she had left, but the pain of her absence still lingered.

Our divorce had been messy and painful, with bitter arguments and hurtful words exchanged on both sides. In the end, we had decided that it was better to part ways - but that didn't make the loss any easier to bear.

I missed her in so many ways. I missed the sound of her laughter, the feel of her hand in mine, the way she always knew just what to say to make me feel better.

But most of all, I missed the sense of belonging that came with being with her. Even in our darkest moments, there had always been a sense of comfort and safety that came from knowing that we were in it together.

Now, that sense of belonging was gone. I felt adrift and alone, like a ship lost at sea.

I tried to fill the void with work and other distractions, but nothing seemed to bring me the same sense of fulfill
