"Christiana, I know that we have a complicated history, but I can't deny my feelings for you," Simon said, taking her hand in his. "I want to be with you, to love you and cherish you, for as long as we both shall live."

Christiana's eyes widened in surprise. She had never expected Simon to confess his love to her, especially not after their past history. But as she looked into his eyes, she saw something different, something genuine.

"Simon, I don't know what to say," she said, her voice trembling. "Our history is complicated, and I don't want to hurt Tiger."

Simon squeezed her hand. "I understand that, Christiana, but we can't keep living in the past. We need to look towards the future, and I believe that future is with us together."

Christiana thought about Simon's words, and for the first time in a long time, she felt hopeful. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for them to be together.
