AGHASTED!

Christiana’s point of view

Rumbling.... I could hear the rumbling of cars from far away. The sound became louder, it was turning out to be scraping gradually, the jeet-jeet sound of the car was accelerated my heartbeat, ringing in my ears, and startled me almost.

The metallic sound of the car had raised a ray of hope again within me.

“Oh, God! I do hope so and pray this time my wish is accepted,” I asked humbly before the dear almighty.

“Is she there?”

Whenever the sound of switching off a car’s engine comes, and the car’s door opens near my house, I did hope so and pray you were here, mom.

Breathing heavily, I looked out of the window. I could see no one. It was all dark around us and the street lights were off. Despite being a full moon night, it was all dark.
