DAWN.
"Dominic, Derick, and Devon Lopez popularly known as Triple D are the Three super charming and rich Triplets who are often the talk of the town and school."
"With their mother as the President and Manager of several companies, lots of people desire to get closer to them knowing they are the inheritors to the empires" Brittany narrated and I felt a whirlpool of emotions flowing through me.
Emotions I couldn't identify or figure out. I expected those three to be powerful but not that powerful and as a matter of fact, I didn't expect them to be triplets. I mean, they did look alike but being triplets didn't even occur to me in the slightest.
"They are known by multiple names. Triple D, The trio, Triple Terrors, handsome triplets and so many more I can't remember" Charlie said, chirping in and I stood frozen in place, eyes widened.
"I know what you are thinking love. Why do they have so many nicknames?" Charlie inquired and I nodded at her, leaning forward and paying close attention to her with a slight open mouth.
"Their Fangirls gave it to them" Charlie muttered. " Triple D stands for their names which all start with D. Dominic, Devon, and Derick" She explained as we made eye contact.
"The trio means they are three. Triple Terrors means they are three and have dangerous abilities. You sure do not want to get on their bad side for it's disastrous" Charlie warned and I felt shivers run down my spine, my heart racing as I remembered I did cross their parts today.
I could picture the glares they directed at me, their icy gaze and I began to experience breath shortness. Though they left without saying or doing anything to me, but what if they were planning a bigger punishment for me?
'I couldn't endure any more bullying' I thought with a sense of dread, my hands trembling as I determined within me to never cross any of their paths again. If I was going right and I saw them, I was going to take left immediately.
"And they are also known as handsome triplets because they are so fucking gorgeous. I mean everything about them is perfect and to die for. From their physique to their facial expressions to their dressings" Lisa complimented with a dreamy look on her face.
She was beaming continuously like a little girl who was being given her favorite lollipop.
"They are just so dreamy" Scarlett exaggerated
'Yeah, to me it was an exaggeration because from what I have seen and heard, they screamed the word " Terrifying and not dreamy".' I thought but dared not say it out and just continued looking at the three who continued to giggle like kids, including Charlie.
" I am still amazed you had no idea who they were before now" Scarlett exclaimed and I began contemplating if I did the right thing by telling her the truth.
They couldn't blame me, could they? I was more of a prisoner back home because I was never allowed out of the house except when I wanted to go deliver packages and my little, outdated phone which had actually been trashed by Mr. Jones, could barely surf the net.
How I actually got to know about Venus Lunar was by peeping at Brittany's phone one day when she left it on. I could only even look at the pieces of information about the school for like two minutes before I was caught by Brittany who gave me a slap for snooping.
"That reminds me. You look weak and act so timid. How did you get to save Mr. Jones' life then?" Lisa enquired and I felt my mind going fuzzy, my breath hitching as memories of that day all came rushing to my head.
Lisa was right. I look weak and act so timid, so how I was actually able to summon up the courage to listen to Mr. Jones' pleas and go right back to rescue him despite the intensive burning in the building still amazes me till today.
'Where did I summon the courage from?' I wondered.
It was a sunny afternoon and I was in the insurance company to deliver packages as usual when I started to hear screams as I got out of the elevator to the top floor.
"Fire, Fire, Fire" I saw people suddenly getting up from their seats and running in the opposite direction, pushing me and the objects around them away in the process.
Everywhere becomes chaotic in just a few seconds.
“What was going on?” I muttered to myself, looking around with my mind going blank trying to piece everything together when a bad smell hit my nose and my eyes widened in realization.
I immediately turned around running towards the elevator like my life depended on it but my pace slowed down when I heard a voice crying out.
"Help, Help, Help". The voice cried out weakly like there was no life in it.
I froze and thought I was delusional at first, probably hearing things, and was about to move again to save my life when I heard the voice again.
'Someone was out there?' I pondered, my eyes narrowing wide from disbelief as I stood there trying to process everything.
'Should I go and help or save myself first?' I wondered. I mean there is a fire going on.
'Oh no!' I thought to myself, as my conscience started nagging to help whosoever was shouting for help.
Everyone was screaming, and it felt like I was on a battlefield due to the screams of terror.
"Let's get out of here now," A voice said, fear fully evident in his voice.
"What could have caused the fire?" Another stuttered, her voice trembling, worry laced in her tone.
"Worry about saving your life first" Someone else snapped. I could feel my head pounding vigorously from the numerous screams and thoughts running across my head.
"Anyone here?".
I could still hear the faint sound of the man screaming for help but it seemed like I was the only one hearing it as everyone else seemed hell-bent on getting out or maybe they just cared about saving their life first.
'But isn't that what I should do too?' I contemplated, multiple thoughts running through my head.
I decided to leave, I was in danger myself and was super weak.
'I would just go down and get someone to help,’ I thought to myself with satisfaction and made to leave again when my nice self came out.
'It would be too late by then my conscience whispered and I groaned.
'What the hell was I supposed to do then?' I thought with a scrunched-up face, my heart pounding vigorously against my chest.
"Please." The voice said again, sounding huskier and deeper.
'Should I or not?' I contemplated, fidgeting. My fingers suddenly feel sweaty.
Like I was being controlled, without thinking, I immediately ran in the direction of the voice and decided to save the voice's owner.
I know I was being stupid as my life was at stake now but I must save that man. I was determined and had no idea why.
"Are y-you c-crazy?" Moon stammered, before disappearing again. I sighed, even Moon knew my actions were stupid.
The fire was burning fiercely, smoke making an appearance due to this, meaning the top floor which I was on could explode any moment from now. I had to find this man before it did.
I searched around, trailing the voice but suddenly couldn't hear any sound again. My Jaw dropped, my eyes popped out and my mind raced.
'How was I going to find him now?' I wondered.
'Did I just miss my chance of escaping for a man I can't find?' I wondered, my entire body shaking.
The smoke made me contemplate at some point about giving up, but something in me was stopping me from doing so. Before I knew it, my feet began moving on their own, and I started searching everywhere I could for a glimpse of anyone but found none.
It was like I was the only one on this entire floor.
' Could I have imagined the voice?' I pondered, and just then my eyes caught something at the far end towards the window.
I instantly made my way towards it and sighted a body in a far corner of the room, lying lifelessly.
Hmmm. Could Dawn really be weak? Would love to know your thoughts in the comments section. Would motivate me to drop more chapters.
DAWN.As soon as I stepped out of Mr. Jones' car, a view of the massive building greeted me, serving as a reminder that I had gotten the chance to study here.A scholarship to one of the most prestigious colleges in the city. Everyone's dream school. Finally, I could study freely, be myself, achieve my dreams, and maybe even meet him afterward, without anyone being insulting towards me or reminding me about my parents.I found myself smiling wide at this thought, my heart racing."Are you alright, girl?" I heard Mr. Jones right from behind me, and I found myself trembling for no reason, before turning to face him.He, too, had gotten out of his vehicle and was adjusting his suit."Yes, thank you so much, sir, for everything, especially this," I replied with a thin smile while gesturing with my free hand towards the gigantic building, my books in the other."I should be thanking you instead, kiddo. I owe you my life," he told me with a bright smile, reminding me of the incident which l
DAWN."You are a peasant?" Scarlett exclaimed in surprise, her eyes wide open and almost popping out of its sockets.I gulped down my saliva, butterflies rumbling in my tummy and my hands trembling once again."I can't believe this" A girl murmured."We sat with a trash can?" Another girl exclaimed in disbelief. Whispers spread through the dining hall, and a few girls approached our table. Some of them took out their phones, seizing the opportunity to capture the unfolding drama for the school's group chat."What's happening, Scarlett?" asked a girl with auburn hair."Just a little drama, Lisa. A peasant trying to pass herself off as a rich girl and fooling every one of us," Scarlett replied, the side of her lips curling up into an evil grin that sent shivers down my spine. "N -n -no. I never claimed to be rich," I stuttered, trying to defend myself. Before I could explain, a bucket of paint, which I have no idea where it was gotten from, was grabbed and emptied all over my head, dr
DAWN."You mean the triple terrors are back?" Lisa asked, surprisingly releasing my hair. I turned subconsciously to look at her and noticed her eyes were almost popping out of their sockets, her hands finding their way to her mouth." I can't believe this, let's go. We can't afford to miss them," Scarlett said, smiling wide and actually jumping up and down, making me furrow my brows at her.' Uhn! What was going on?' I wondered and blinked to be sure I was seeing things right and wasn't hallucinating.Suddenly, I became invisible as they all left me; their mission to bully me was probably the last thing on their minds at the moment. Everyone rushed out after Scarlett and Lisa, murmuring excitedly and bringing out their phones to record.' What was with these students and the media?' I pondered and stood there frozen and confused. The students were still screaming, filming, and jumping up and down. Some, to my amusement, were fainting, and that got me all the more curious as to what w
DAWN.I shivered on the cold floor, swallowing hard as their heated stares bore into me. Cheeks burning, I cringed away, wishing the ground would just open up and swallow me whole. The air grew silent, and I felt multiple gazes fixated on me. Anticipating more bullying, I braced myself, but to my surprise, the footsteps I heard were of them leaving, though they threw parting glares that sent shivers down my spine.I lay there, peeking at their retreating backs, my eyes widening. 'Did they just let me go?' I wondered, jaw-dropping."OMG! Are you okay? I didn't mean to push you," a familiar voice said behind me. Warm hands touched my skin, and I shivered, raising my head to see her. Scarlet was the only reason why I knew exactly what hell felt like, and right now the same Scarlet was smiling brightly at me. What is happening right now?"Are you hurt? You should be more careful next time," she said, but I wasn't paying attention. Her words came as echoes, watching her lips move, eyes
DAWN."What is going on?" I heard a girl whisper to her friend."I can't believe Scarlett could stoop so low to invite a peasant to join her clique and snub our requests" Another girl hissed, her voice laced with annoyance and dissatisfaction. On hearing her annoyed blurts, I, as usual, simply buried my head and began staring at my feet in a bid to avoid the seething glares being thrown at me from all over the place. It was quite clear that several people were immensely dissatisfied with Scarlett's decision to make me a member of her clique. Charlie noticing my intimidated mannerisms, abruptly grabbed my chin and pulled my head up. " You need to stop acting so timid, " She scolded, staring into my eyes, which were darting about, in a bid to avoid her gaze. Inwardly, I battled with the strong urge to return my face downwards, but Charlie firmly held my chin in place, disallowing me from doing so. "She's right," Lisa abruptly chipped in, placing her attention on me. "You are one o
