106. BASTIAN'S DARK STORY

"Dad, where are you going?" asked an eighteen-year-old boy, who got up from the sofa when he saw that the adult man called 'Dad' had dressed up.

"Are you going to the funeral?" the young man asked again.

The grown man looked stunned at his question. However, he quickly regained control of his thoughts.

"Yes, I'm going to the funeral," the grown man replied, with a gentle smile.

"Alright. I'm coming with you." The young man pranced a little happily.

"No, son. I'm going with a friend. You just wait at home," the man explained.

Slowly, the eighteen-year-old's smile faded. There was a look of disappointment on his face. The man did not feel good seeing his son who was sad because he refused his request.

It had been a long time since he and his son had gone to the cemetery to visit his wife, who had long since left this world.

That's why his only son was so excited to find out that he was going to the cemetery.
