Ross sat still before the huge tomb, his fists clenched and his head lowered. Alpha Wren walked slowly but steadily to him and stood beside him. He hesitated speaking a word to Ross, but ended up saying something.

"Ross…"

"Save it." His voice was cold as he interrupted his father. He looked so detached from his usual self. The same Ross who proposed to Erika and even had sex with her, was nowhere to be found. He looked gloomy and mad while staring at the sands.

"Ross, I'm sorry for your loss." Alpha Wren pressed, refusing to back out.

Ross ignored him and just sat there silently.

His clenched fist clenched even more as he heard the words from his mouth.

"My loss?" Ross asked with a smirk playing on his lips.

Alpha Wren watched him without saying any more words.

"My loss, or Our loss?" Ross asked again, but there was still no response from Alpha Wren.

"You…. You never loved my mother for once, did you?"

There was still no response from him. He really was short of
