It rained all morning and it wasn't just an ordinary drizzle but a heavy downpour that seemed to never end, with the occasional crack of thunder as if punctuating the rain's tempo.

The roads were clogged with flood and fallen leaves. The clouds disappeared mid-afternoon and it stopped raining. I got out of my tent in search of my hosts. I figured they were rogues considering that day didn't belong to any pack.

One was picking his teeth with a stick while the other was gathering water into a drum. I watched them do their thing. The one picking his teeth looked up at me with a crooked smile and motioned me over.

“I guess it's time to go to the Lycan pack to save my girl,” I said to them with a plastered smile on my face because there was nothing to smile about. Ashanti was in danger and needed my help.
