~Cana’s POV:

Water, I hate water.

Ever since an accident during my younger years, I had come to fear being in the water.

Yet, here I was, in the lake, and sinking deeper into its depths.

The cold was enough to send shivers down my spine, but not only that, the thought that I didn’t know how deep the lake was, had me panicking.

I didn’t even try to swim to the top because I knew I would have failed miserably.

Instead, I did the one thing I could do best and called for help.

“ZANE!”

As loud as I could, I screamed out his name, hoping, no, praying, he could hear me.

My lungs felt heavy, and I was close to giving up when a shadow appeared, and then, I was pulled upwards.

I broke the surface of the water and was greeted with Zane’s panicked and worried expression as he pulled me closer.

“Cana, Jesus, how did you end up in there?” He asked, sounding and looking worried.

My teeth chattered, but I ignored them, choosing to focus on breathing properly.
