A fight with Janet

Chloe’s POV

‘ Sighs’ I brought out the magic gloves mother gave me the other day, I was told I just awakened a power which ended up hurting Henry at my first out leash.

Luckily he didn’t brood over it, Henry is a sweet guy, his only shortcomings is that he get provoked easily and is quick to exercise his Alpha pheromones dominance on people who gets on his bad side.

After that day he stopped provoking me, and now he respects my wishes.

I finally made it to the training ground, i saw some of the scout members were training, while some were dueling with each other.

“Chloe you up for a challenge?” The Delta walks towards me, grinning like though he won some lottery.

“ I bet I could need some training and advice to enhance my agility and reflexes”

“ I guess there is a first time for everything girl”

He beckons to one of the scout trainers.

“Janet show Chloe some moves”

“ yes Delta” Janet sprang up from her position and lunged towards me as she gave me a double strong punch on my stomach, her attacks were fierce and unexpected, it’s as though she has a personal vendetta against me. I lost my balance falling backwards as I grunt in pain.

In my past life at eighteen I did practice Tai chi. With my uncle once, I visited china during my teenage days, I did well in learning to protect myself, because as a daughter of a well known billionaire we had assassins on our tails.

“ Nice one Janet” The Delta comments as he gave me a scornful look.

Janet smirked as she looks at me in pride.

I stood up, dusted myself before speaking up “ Delta Alan I never admitted defeat, what’s with that look on your face, is this what you call a move?” My gaze was like that of a queen looking at an ant.

“ Though you are the Alpha’s daughter will it do you any good to embarrass yourself?” Janet mocked me feeling quite smug.

“Let’s see then” I positioned myself for a rematch.

“ Hah, then let’s do it” Janet speed towards me, getting ready to punch me, I countered her moves with my palm outstretched as I jabbed her chest instantly and Janet backs away in surprise.

Seeing her expression I smiled at her.

She got agitated and came at me again, after evading her attack, used my palm to knife her neck, Janet staggered as she fell on her butt, clutching her neck in pain.

Laughter erupted among the trainees and scout groups.

Still in my judo position, I withdraw my palm and blew out the invisible dust to show my dominance.

Resounding claps echoed in the background as I looked behind me in surprised to see Henry and The Alpha there.

“ brilliant Chloe! truly brilliant, am proud of you my baby girl” I smiled at him, this time my smile was genuine not forced.

“ Chloe where did you learn those strange moves from?” Henry asked surprise and curiosity lacing his voice.

I rolled my eyes at him, he noticed I won’t reply him and opted to keep quiet.

“ Anyways good job” He said after scratching his head awkwardly.

I looked back at the Delta “ Delta Alan this is what you call moves” I winked my eyes at him as I walked away from the arena.

“ Our darling is getting more outstanding” Alpha Ben muttered.

“ I think so too” Delta Alan added, as a Delta, Alan has his way of raising everyone’s fighting spirit and that is what he did to Chloe.

“ we will get to experience a new Chloe” Henry snickers before starting a duel with the Delta.

I still can’t get used fact that am in the midst of shape shifters, I thought stuffs like this are really fantasy? And I have been here for nearly a week.

I have seen the way they shape shift into their wolf form.

Logically these shape shifters are based in the deep forests away from humans, but they have business and companies in the cities which are full of humans.

There are a total of five packs that I know of : silver moon pack, The crescent moon pack, shadow moon pack, crimson moon pack and The rogue pack. The reason why they are named the rogue pack is that they accept any rogue after running series of background checks on any new rogues member before accepting them.

I heard that the Lycanthropes are mortal enemies of the werewolf due to blah blah blah of whatever was the cause of their enemity which I don’t really bother about the details.

I sighed in boredom, since I arrived here I have just been recuperating and memorizing my surroundings.

And at least I have understood some things, tomorrow is this body’s coming of age, she will be transforming on the full moon.

I will be eighteen tomorrow and mother said I would get my mate blah blah blah. She gave me an ear full.

In my past life my mom died when I was five so dad was my only parent and guardian.

At least now I have both mom and dad and they won’t be dying anytime soon.

Don’t let my dark humor scare you am always like that.

I lay on my bed after today’s strolling about my nerves is about to wreck am exhausted. Yes I have seen the way people here train, I joined them again this afternoon although I don’t remember the steps but surprisingly this body is extremely strong. The training was harsh I can’t remember how many jumping jacks I did, there are times Henry kicked me in the gut, I kept on fighting without giving up till I mastered the steps and was able to use my own skills to injure him a few times.

I smiled as I remembered what he said this afternoon “ Chloe if you keep up the pace of your learning ability you might surpass me, and am afraid Dad might pass the position of the Alpha to you”

“ you don’t have to fear about the Alpha position, if I wanted it, no one can stop me, you might have been dead if I really want to kill you” I replied without any shred of humility my expression was so smug.

He chuckled at my reply and looked at me in interest “ really Chloe? when did you get so fierce and arrogant?” Disbelief was written on his face.

I smiled in return without giving him any answers as I made my way out of the training ground.

“Hey Maddison are you up for a duel?” Henry asked. Madison just finished fighting with one of the werewolves from the pack.

Madison smirked.

“ why not?” And just like that they both started dueling.

Once Dad passes his position to Henry, Madison will become the next Beta of the pack. Well he is a silent type of person not really my cup of tea.

But I won’t lie to you , all these guys are hot, they would really pass for a model if they existed in my past life.

Stopping my thoughts I drifted off to sleep since I felt like my brain has been overwhelmed with lots of stress.

I saw a woman with pure white hair, like that of a wool, she looked beautiful, this woman has a semblance to this host’s mother, in the dream I stood in a forest filled with tiny creatures that releases wisp of light that glitters on their skin, it was an amazing sight to behold, I have never seen such a beautiful phenomenon in all my life.

“ what are these?” I asked with a smile as the creature’s were blabbering non stop, I can’t hear the language they were speaking.

I got this feeling that they were trying to talk to me as the kept motioning me to a particular direction.

I instinctively followed them to satisfy my curiosity.

“ wow!!!” I clamped my lips shut as I let my hands touch the blue magic scepter, it was very heavy if you ask me, but I ended up lifting it up after three trials.

“You are the scepter’s new master” a gentle voice whispered into my ears.

I instantly snapped my attention back to the white haired lady.

“ who are you?!” Her voice was melodious but I still looked at her warily.

What if she has evil intentions?

“ Chloe Salvador the chosen one, our savior and our master. All hail!!” At her voice, the scepter released a blue lightening that coerced through the sky as all the little creatures bowed at me.

I was filled with shock and fear, as my whole body trembled because of the lightning from the scepter in my hands, kept draining my energy.

I tried to let it go but it won’t get off my hands.

I woke up from the dream the next minute as my breathing got heavy.

My face glistened in sweat as I heard a voice from a distance murmur to me; “This is just the beginning.”
