Chapter 4
Scarlett Wolff My heart fluttered excitedly as evening approached, anticipating Mr. Lucien's return from work. Staying a whole day without him felt like I was being torture. I jumped off the couch, and dashed toward the door when I heard his car drive inside. I stood in front of the entrance door, waiting for him with the most joyous smile on my face as I waited for him to alight from the car. However, my smile faded, and my heart sank into my stomach when he alighted from the car with a woman. My heart wrenched painfully, anger coursed through me as I watched the woman lock arm with him, smiling and talking about whatever. “Scarlett… you are here?” Mr. Lucien, who hasn't smiled since he stepped out of his car, smiled as he stopped in front of me, but my eyes were all over the woman. How dare she touch him?! “Wow! Is she your niece that you told me was staying with you?” The woman asked with a smile on her face, glancing at Mr. Lucien and returning her gaze back to me. Wow! He is already telling his girlfriend about me? “Hi! It's nice to meet you. You are so beautiful,” she extended her hand to me for a handshake, but I ignored her and looked at Mr. Lucien who had a smile on his face like this was supposed to be funny or beautiful. The way he smiled at her, the way he held her, the way his eyes lit up when she talked, ignoring me like I didn't even exist. I felt a twitch in my stomach, a burning sensation spreading through my body, causing my heart to pulsate. I couldn't bear the thought of him with any other woman aside from myself, let alone seeing him with another woman. Never in my entire life has it crossed my mind to harm anyone, but at that moment, I would drill a dagger down her chest if I had one with me, not minding if I would go to jail for that. I swallowed nothing, rubbing my sweaty palms together. I felt the heat in my face, spreading through my body. A pang in my chest that left my heart tightening and my breath hitching. My eyes stung as I fought back my tears while batting my eyelashes. It hurts so much. “Uhm… sir, I made dinner,” I stuttered, swallowing the lump in my throat as I continued. “I will go set the table,” And with that, I walked back inside the house as I let my tears drop down my cheek, but I quickly wiped it with the back of my palm. “I'll be back, Scarlett. We are going to shower,” My heart sank into my stomach as I watched him walk away with the woman, his body language screaming desire. I set the table, resisting the urge to add a pinch of poison to the woman's food. What are they doing upstairs? Are they really going to shower together? I could barely concentrate on what I was doing, my neck straining to look at the staircase every passing second, hoping that they would return soon, while resisting the urge to go check what they were doing. I felt a churn in my stomach, my blood boiling, spreading heat through my body as I watched them return. They had changed from the clothes earlier and were now wearing robes. Only heaven knows what the fuck they did behind the closed door. “This smells nice,” the woman inhaled as she opened her plate of food after she sat down. Of course, I served her some though I didn't want to. She looked at me, a smile spreading across her face as she said. “Thank you for the food,” “Hmm,” I hummed, taking a seat beside Mr. Lucien who completely ignored me as if I wasn't even there. “Do you like the food?” He looked at her with a smile spreading across his face as he asked with concern. “Hmm… I love it. Tastes delicious,” An overwhelming urge to interrupt them and claim his attention coursed through me, but I tried to resist it. He was ignoring me deliberately. If he wanted to talk to me, he would've done that. Eating with them was only going to annoy me, so I stood up and picked up my food to excuse the two… what should I call them? Lovebirds? Fuck that! They weren't lovebirds. “Where are you going, Scarlett?” The woman was the first to ask before Mr. Lucien noticed that I stood up. He was all over her that he didn't even notice my presence. “What's your business?” I fought back the urge to clap back at her, giving a little smile. “Are you alright, Scarlett? You don't look fine,” Mr. Lucien finally spoke to me for the first time, causing me to scoff silently. Is that even a question? Does it look like I'm fine? “Oh, yes, I'm fine. Excuse me,” “You have something on your face,” I paused and looked back at the scene unfolding before my eyes as she reached for his face, getting whatever shit was on his face. Hesitation kicked in, and for a moment, I thought of going back to sit there, but kicked against it immediately. Not that it was going to change anything, anyway. I forced my heavy legs to move toward the stairs, heading to my room while holding the tray of food firmly in my hand, clenching my jaw tightly. I tossed the food carelessly on the centre table once I walked inside my room, sinking my fingers into my hair and pulling at it aggressively. I paced restlessly in my room, deliberating on going back there. Twenty minutes passed before my attention was drawn to the loose woman's laughter outside, and I found myself bolting toward the door, and pulling it slightly open, peeping outside. She was holding his arm, while resting her head on it as they walked toward his room. She didn't stop laughing at whatever jokes they were making. “That bitch!” I cursed silently, clenching my jaw tightly. You are not going to let her have her way with him, are you? “Never!” I shook my head before dashing into the bathroom to have a quick shower. I changed into my nightie and threw my hair up in a rough ponytail, his favourite style, before leaving my room. My heart pounded hard in my chest as I stood in front of his door nervously. I pressed my ear hard against the door in a bid to get a sound from them, but the place was as silent as a graveyard. “Why can't I hear anything?” I mumbled, as I adjusted before pressing my ear against the door again, but it opened, causing me to lose my balance as I fell toward his room, but he held me in his strong arms just before I collided into the floor. “What are you doing, Scarlett?” His charming eyes pierced into mine, staring right into my soul, as his deep voice echoed in my ear. Fuck! I'm bursted!Chapter 5Scarlett Wolff“What are you doing, Scarlett?” My heart beat stopped for a second, my eyes blinked as I stared at him, speechless.“Me?” I asked the dump question, straightening my back and thinking of the perfect answer to give him just so I won't look dumb before him.He stared at me straight, his eyes searching my face maybe for an answer, I had no idea.“Oh… I was just taking a walk, and I tripped. Yes, I tripped,” my heart echoed in my ear as I told him the unbelievably dumb lie because I knew I obviously looked and sounded dumb at that moment. He gave me a brief stare. It was obvious on his face that he didn't believe a thing of what I said, but he nodded, regardless.“You should get going then,” he went back inside, closing the door on my face, but I saw her. She was sitting on the bed as though she was ready for him. She was ready for him to come fuck her. Just the thought of it made my heart sting with anger and sadness.“Hmm… I should head back to my room,” my eyes
Chapter 6Scarlett WolffAre you alright?Lucien's worried face had welcomed me last night as I opened the door for him when he knocked. My scream was so loud while I was playing with myself that he heard me from his room. You can imagine the level of embarrassment I felt at that moment, but thankfully, I was able to brew a lie so quickly. My stomach grumbled angrily the moment I heard that woman's voice as she descended the staircase along with Lucien. She was fully dressed, so I guessed she would be leaving soon. Thank goodness. My heart fluttered when I set eyes on my charming fantasy, looking all hot in his black outfit. Gosh! The little part of his chest revealed made me hot in between my legs, the thought of running my fingers through his chest while drawing invisible lines on it made me wet down there.“Good morning, Scarlett,” the woman smiled at me broadly, her face looking bright like something good happened last night. Oh, yeah. Something good must've happened between them
Chapter 7Lucien Alessandro“Why would you bring me to your house when you knew nothing was going to happen between us?” Olivia, the lady I brought to the house, complained as I pulled over at the side of the road. “I have paid you for your service, so get out of my car while I'm being nice,” I didn't spare her a glance, my voice as cold as it could.“Are you kidding me?” She scoffed, making me turn to her this time.“Trust me, you don't want me to repeat what I just said,”“You are weird,” she rolled her eyes at me before stepping out of my car, slamming the door hard behind her. She wouldn't have gone scot-free with what she did, but thankfully, I wasn't in the mood for that.I pulled my car safe open, reaching for the pack of cigarettes and a lighter lying there. I took out a stick and lit it before putting it in my mouth, taking a long slow drag, my eyes closed in a momentary bliss, the only thing I could think of was Scarlett.“Scarlett!” Her name escaped my lips in a whisper, a
Chapter 8Scarlett WolffIt was another day to go to that boring school. A place that used to be fun for me, but what I found fun now was spending time with Lucien though he wasn't giving me the audience.I was just getting ready to leave for school when my phone started to ring, and I picked on the first ring when I saw that it was Alexa. She was still calling me despite the way I treated her yesterday. I needed to apologise to her later for being mean.“Hey, sweetheart. I'm coming over to your house. You don't have to drive to school, I will pick you up in my car,” I still haven't told her that I moved out of the house to stay with my dad's friend.“Let's meet in school, Alex. You don't have to pick me up,” I ended the call without giving her a chance to bombard me with questions, knowing that it was the next thing she would do.My chest tightened, and I bit my lip as the thought of Lucien crowded my mind. The way my heart stung when he rejected my food yesterday, the way he didn't
Chapter 9Lucien AlessandroThere is a problem at the casino, sir.I was just on my way out of Scarlett's school earlier when Vlad called and told me that. Who dared to cause trouble at my casino? The ride to the casino took about an hour, and once I drove into the compound, I pulled over at the garage and headed to the entrance door. I was welcomed inside by the loud buzzing music, the smell of alcohol and cigarettes, and the sight of people dancing, some sitting at a corner, sipping on drinks while feeding their eyes with whatever they found interesting. The stripper was also doing her business, entertaining everyone. It was a regular club thing. Yes, to the outside world, it was only a club, but there was more to it. Underground the popular club, was the biggest and most successful casino in the whole world, owned by Lucien Alessandro, the leader of the most notorious mafia family in America, El imperio de la sombra (the shadow empire).“Call your boss. I am not leaving here until
Chapter 10Scarlett WolffI'm closed from school now. I looked at the text I had sent to Mr. Lucien for the umpteenth time as I stood in front of the school gate, waiting for him to pick me up. A smile crept up my lips upon the thought of being in the same car as him yet again. The feeling was exciting.“Hey!” My excitement was soon cut short by Derek's annoying voice, and I rolled my eyes before turning to find him smiling at me like we were friends or we were close. For fuck's sake, can't he get the memo that I wasn't interested in him?“Hi!” I replied to him bluntly, turning my gaze from him.“Are you waiting for someone?” Just when I thought he was going to leave me the hell alone, he decided to talk again, demanding my attention which of course I didn't have a choice but to give it to him.“Is there a problem?” I raised an eyebrow.“Do you want me to drop you off at your place? We are heading the same way, after all,” he offered, and I rolled my eyes. If I needed a ride, I would
Chapter 11Location; casinoTime: 11pmLucien AlessandroI sat watching my boys as they carefully arranged the stack of crystal meth that had just been delivered a couple of hours ago before sending it out to our clients.“Everything is ready, boss,” Vlad turned to me and said once they were done arranging everything.“It's just your order now to send them out,” he added, and I reclined on the chair, crossing my legs.“Where is Jasper?” I asked instead, and they all looked at each other. They were about fifteen. Jasper wasn't amongst them.“Boss, Jasper complained he was sick. I think it's the hangover from last night. He went clubbing last night and got drunk,” Jasper's friend, Caspian, who was in his mid twenties, spoke up. Of course, I knew the bastard won't be here. He wouldn't dare. At least not after what he did.I turned to Vladimir and ordered. “Get me Jasper, Vlad,”“Yes, boss. I will do that,” he had turned to leave when I stopped him.“Make sure you bring him here at all co
Chapter 12Lucien AlessandroKing's bar. Tonight by 8pm.I was getting ready to leave for the meeting when my attention was drawn away by the sound of the knock on the door. Frustration kicked in knowing that it was no other person but Scarlett. The last person I wanted to see. I've been doing my best to avoid her and keep my distance, but she just seems to be all over me. Poor girl, she had no idea the horrible and crazy thoughts I was having about her.The knock came on again, and I knew I had to go take the door this time. I pulled it open, and my heart fluttered the moment I set eyes on this sexy young lady who had messed with my head and was still doing it. She was graced in a white baggy shirt which stopped right after her butt, revealing about an inch of the bum short she was wearing. Her boobs were pointing firmly at me like they were seeking attention, and the sight of them made my dick twitch excitedly. Was she seducing me? I asked myself, but dismissed the thought. Poor gir
Chapter 41Lucien Alessandro‘All clear, boss'My lips curled up in a smirk as I read through the text Vladimir sent to me before clicking on the attached photo. There he was. The invincible el Kostya, lying there dead on the floor in a pool of his own blood. El Kostya was a powerful and influential mafia leader. He was one who could never be defeated by anyone, but Vladimir did it. I would've done it myself, but he wasn't worth it.'I'll be there shortly'I returned his message before heading to my car, driving out of the compound.I drove through thick darkness for an hour and a half before I arrived at the casino where Vladimir was waiting for me.My phone started to ring as soon as I pulled over in front of the building, but I disconnected the call and went ahead to switch my phone off before heading into the building. I didn't want any distraction.I tucked my hands inside my pockets, while walking down the walkway minutes later. Unlike every other time, the casino was silent lik
Chapter 40Scarlett Wolff“So, tell me what I want to hear, please,” I thought Alexa had given up, but she insisted as we sat in the school cafeteria to eat.“Table manners, babes,” I reminded her.“Not that we don't usually talk while eating though. Please,” she whined, and I exhaled frustratingly, knowing that I couldn't get away from her questions. I might end up losing my mind.“Fine!” I dropped my spoon, then looked around to be sure nobody was close by to listen to us, and once I was sure, I leaned close to her and whispered. “We did it,”She gasped, covering her mouth as her eyes widened, and I rolled my eyes. For the next few seconds, Alexa sat frozen on the spot, staring at me weirdly, and I sighed. Must she be so dramatic?“Ale…” my voice trailed off when she suddenly squealed, kicking the air with her hands as she giggled like someone was tickling her. Has she lost her mind?“Babe…” she suddenly leaned close and whispered. “Please tell me everything in detail. How was he in
Chapter 39Scarlett WolffMy heart fluttered for the umpteenth time as I glanced at Lucien whose gaze was fixated on the road as he drove me to school. I felt warmth spreading in between my legs, as memories of last night replayed in my head, and I clasped my thighs together. The way he held me in his arms, the way he kissed me. The way his breath fanned my body. Is it how he ate my pussy and sucked it dry like his life depended on it? Thinking about everything now made me want it all over again. My attention was drawn back to reality when the car suddenly stopped, and I felt waves of disappointment upon realising that he was already parked in front of my school gate. I wanted to spend more time with him.“Are you coming over to pick me up later?” I asked him after I got rid of my seatbelt, and he looked at me, his face void of emotions.“Call me when you want me to come pick you up,”I nodded before stepping out of the car. I stood watching him until he drove off. I was about to go i
Chapter 38 Scarlett Wolff 'Where are you, please?’ I sent Lucien a message for the umpteenth time, but just like he had done before, I got no reply. It was already getting late and I couldn't bring myself to sleep at home alone. Not after what happened earlier today. I was going to give up, but thought to give it a try one more time as I dialled his number, but it rang and ended without answer, so I knew I really had to give up this time. 'Hey! Are you there?’ I sent Alexa a message, hoping she was online and would reply to me. Ten minutes passed and I didn't get a reply from her. “Fuck!” I ran my fingers through my hair frustratingly. “Pick up, please… pick up, Alexa.” I muttered, pacing in my room and holding my phone to my ear as the call rang. I had just dialled Alexa's number. Just when I thought she wasn't going to pick up, her voice came on from the other end, and I heaved a sigh of relief. “Hey, babes. I'm sorry, I was in the bathroom. What's up? Why are you callin
Chapter 37 Scarlett Wolff ‘I'm waiting outside the gate. Come out' I was shocked when I suddenly got a text from Lucien just when I was getting ready to go to bed. How did he find me? A gasp tore through my throat and my eyes narrowed. “What's up? You look scared,” Alexa asked, removing her eyes from her phone to look at me, and I quickly shook my head, giving her a small smile. I went to her window to look outside since I could see outside the gate from here. And guess what? Lucien was standing outside the gate, leaning against his car while holding his phone. Fuck! I'm doomed. “Is everything alright, babes?” I turned swiftly to Alexa, quickly pulling the curtain to cover the window as I gave her a small nervous chuckle. “Of course, everything is fine. Was just trying to get fresh air,” I lied to her, and she stared at me suspiciously for a few seconds before she nodded, going back to the end. I swallowed nothing, scratching the back of my neck while trying to come up with

Chapter 35 Derek “How many times am I going to cover up for you, Derek? This is getting out of hand.” My dad yelled over the phone once I took his call. I guess news already got to him about what happened. Is it my fault that I've developed the urge to kill people? “This is the sixth time, Derek. Sixth fucking time since this year began, and this is just February. February for fuck's sake!” My dad's voice reverberated again, and I groaned silently. Can he fucking quit with this and let me be? It's just six people. Six bitches. They all asked for it. They wanted it, and I gave it to them. “Are you there, Derek?” He asked when I went silent. “Hmm. I'm here.” I adjusted on the bed, rubbing my temple. “Derek… this is draining me. I'm losing my mind here. Can you please stop? Just please stop this.” His voice went calm as he pleaded with me. But how could I stop when this has become a part of me? How was I supposed to quit doing that now when it's the only thing that makes me f
Chapter 34Scarlett WolffI screamed out my lungs when I walked inside the classroom and found a young lady hung by the neck inside the class, her body slowly swinging.“What's wrong, Scar…” Alexa, who was walking behind me screamed once she saw the horrible scene unfolding before our eyes.I felt shivers down my spine, and my body shook as I staggered back, swallowing the lump in my throat. This wasn't the first time that something like this was going to happen in school, and guess what! In the end, the school management would always let go of it after trying to find out who it is to no avail. My heart pounded hard in my chest as I crashed against the wall, unable to take my eyes off the lady whose face was still unidentified. She had several stab marks on her stomach, her body was bruised up as though she was beaten also. It was the way every other lady was murdered, so I was convinced that it was the same person who had done this barbaric thing. But who could've done this? Why was
Chapter 31 Scarlett Wolff When Lucien asked me to get dressed that we were going out earlier, I was curious to know where it was, but he didn't tell me where. It was midway into the journey that I realised we were going to the packhouse. 'Isn't that Scarlett?’ 'She is pregnant? What is going on?’ I heard whispers as Lucien led me into the building earlier. Strangely, I wasn't nervous. The level of satisfaction I felt when I saw Olivia and the anger in her eyes the moment she saw us together made my stomach rile with excitement and fulfillment. The meeting kick-started. “As you can all see…” Lucien paused, then held my hand and looked at me with a proud smile on his face before he turned to look at the elders who were all waiting for him to clarify what was happening. “My wife, Scarlett, is pregnant with the heir to the throne. She will officially be crowned the Luna of Starlight Pack as soon as she puts to birth.” I looked at Olivia with a proud smirk displaying at the cor
