A soft whimper escapes her as she looks down, setting her fingers on her lap, crying.
The man was very cruel. He would go to any extent for his satisfaction and since the time he had seen her, it had been to hurt her. He told her he would kill her slowly and he had been successful enough.

Before she could even realize it, the car came to a smooth halt. She shot her eyes up and looked around to see Andreas already out the door. He quickly moved to her side and pulled the door open.
Sliding his arms underneath her knees and back, he carried her up in bird style as if she weighed nothing. Annalise just stared at him with her welled-up eyes while he just had a playful grin on his face.
The poor girl sniffed and tried to push him away but he held her closer and stopped midway.
