Chapter 30.

Amelia’s POV

I was so shocked when I saw Eddie and his daughter. I couldn’t believe that he was the one I would be working. I was so angry with the way he treated me. He fired me instantly and I also left his place angrily. I hailed a cab and told the driver to take me to Presbyterian Hospital and all I did was sobbed inwardly during the drive. I saw that the driver occasionally glanced at me but I ignored him and to avoid him probing into my personal life, I wiped off my tears.

When we arrived at the hospital, I paid the driver and after making sure that I wasn’t looking like someone that had been crying so that my parents wouldn’t be worried, I headed into the hospital and then went to my mom’s room. I dropped my luggage outside and I met her sitting with her husband. They were both happy to see me but with my mom, I knew she would notice that I wasn’t feeling good enough. She quickly noticed my mood and then asked me what was going on with me.
