Willa's POV
They pulled me and granny off the ground, and James purposely pulled me by my broken arm. The searing pain radiated my shoulder made tears brim my eyes, but I didn't want to cry in front of them.
I grabbed my own broken arm and pulled back, trying to get rid of James. He smirked evilly, playing the seesaw game with my arm. I bit my lips as I tried to ignore the pain, but it was like a vicious snake swimming into my brain.
"Beg, you poisonous wild kitten." James sneered, rising my arm high into the air.
Can I bite his head off instead?
I didn't want to give in, but granny was poisoned with wolfsbane, and no one could help us.
"I beg you, Beta, please let me go," I said in a low voice, baring my head. I had never bared my neck at anyone other than Alphas, and tears of humiliation burst out as my ears turned red. Although on the level of being a jerk, James COULD match with some of them.
"I can't hear you, kitten." Jam
I can't wait for granny to find out that it was Taran who stole Willa's heart :)
Willa's POV "She wouldn't kill us!... Why would she?" I muttered in shock. Why would she be so hell-bent on killing me? Sure, she hated me, but Jason was dealt with and I didn't do anything to Rachel. There wasn't even any reason for her to hate me! "Reasons or not, she hated us. If we stay, we will die." Granny sighed, still shivering from the wolfsbane. This was the first time I didn't want to leave a pack even when I had to. [Kirsch! Kirsch...] I tried to mind link Kirsch, hoping that maybe he could wake up. I knew it was a long shot. He was badly wounded. It was already a miracle that he didn't die. There was no way he could wake up any time soon. I couldn't mind link Al. "So, you want a prison break? Can we come back after?" I asked granny. It would be fine. We could come back after Kirsch wakes up. "We can, but...the teleport mark I set this time is very far away..." Granny sighed, looking at me with a sad look, "I set it
Willa's POV "Where are you taking us?" I took a step back to block the spell on the floor from Natasha. "No question, just come," Natasha said coldly, not looking at me. "I have the right to at least know that you are going to kill us! Why do you hate me so much to not even grant me my basic rights?!" I shouted at Natasha. I hated her, sure. But I didn't think I had irritated her enough to deserve death. "You, are, cursed! You would bring doom to the pack! Isn't that a good enough reason to wipe you from the face of the earth?!" Natasha stormed into the cell toward me. Granny stood up to meet her halfway, and I quickly stood in front of granny. Granny was in no shape to fight Natasha right now. "I'm not cursed! I was poisoned--" "Willa took wolfsbane by mistake last night. That was what you saw." Granny cut me off. We couldn't let them know we lied to them, not now. "Another far-fetched lie!" Natasha snorted coldly, "Of
Kirsch's POV When I opened my eyes, it took me a while to realize I was back in the Alpha's house. I hadn't been living here for a while. I was in Taran's room. Guess it was some pack member who took me back. They didn't even know I never slept in the master bedroom. It would always be Taran's. But it meant he wasn't back yet. I tried to move my body but everything hurt. I could barely look down at my own body, but I could feel it was wrapped in bandages. I let out a slight groan in pain as I closed my eyes and laid down again. It would still take days before I could fully recover, and that was actually a better result than I had expected. I really thought Crebreus would kill me. I could barely stand up in the end as I tried to stop him from dashing into the pack. I managed to force him to go through the woods as I mindlinked patrol and cleared a path so we wouldn't run into anyone. He was in a complete rage and
Kirsch's POV It took me a few seconds to understand Taran's words. It wasn't like Willa was not in the house. As far as Taran knew, Willa was nowhere to be found?! Maybe she went to the beach? "Don't tell me it's Nat again!" I rubbed my head in frustration. "It's not. I asked Nat. She was here when I came back." Taran shook his head, "Nat didn't know where Willa is, and Willa wouldn't accept her mind link." "What the hell did Nat do this time?!" I grunted. Willa didn't like Nat, but she wouldn't just deny her mind link if it wasn't because Nat did something to upset her again. [Willa?] I tried to mind link Willa, but no response. [Willa?] I tried again, still, Willa refused to put the mind link through. At least that meant she wasn't in danger. "She won't accept. I don't want to use the Alpha Aura on her." I sighed. I couldn't imagine what would have upset Willa so much that she wouldn't even talk to us. "Try he
Kirsch's POV Taran's voice was freezing cold. Even though he couldn't use Alpha Aura anymore, I could see Nat went jittering as her lips shook in terror. "Taran! You are scaring me..." Nat stammered as tears burst out of her eyes. "Don't make me ask again." Taran closed his eyes as he said slowly, apparently not intending to let Nat free before he got his answer, and Nat was broken in no time. "She disappeared from the cell! I really don't know where she is! I DID want to kill her, and she asked us to give her a moment, but then she was gone! She escaped!" Nat cried as she grabbed Taran's forearm with both her hands in fear. Taran let her off. I sighed, asking Nat: "Why did you go after her again?! You disobeyed us deliberately--" "This is not personal! I captured her because she turned into a rabid wolf on the new moon night and she attacked you! She was the 'wolfless girl'!" Nat shouted at me with her face red in tears.
Willa's POV Three days passed since we teleported out of the cell. I didn't know where we were. I barely had the energy to eat, let alone care about our location. The sting in my chest never faded, and this time it hurt more. I guess it was just what people called "heartbreak". I felt that when I thought Al wasn't mine, and I definitely was having a worse one now, when I KNEW, Al belonged to Natasha. I agreed to join the new pack. Granny's teleport mark took us to a small cove. It took her ten days to run here last time. Far away from Al. We had been camping by the sea for the past three days. Granny never asked why I was feeling low. She knew me well enough to not ask. She didn't even ask about Taran when it was supposed to be a new name to her. She gave me all the time and space I needed to lick my wounds. She was right. I should have stayed away from Taran since the beginning. Antonia hadn't woken up yet. We
Kirsch's POV [Willa! Are you alright? Where are you?!] I almost burst into shouting, in the happiness of hearing her voice. She was sitting on a rock by the sea, with only the dark waves in front of her. Of course she was by the sea. [I'm fine, thanks. Glad you woke up.] She was smiling, but there was a shade of aloofness in Willa's tone. I guess she had always been cold to me. [Little one, where are you right now?] Taran asked with a smile, gentle as ever. I watched in shock as Willa bit her lips and dodged Taran's eyes. She had never been cold to Taran! When he was around, it was like her eyes could only fit him and nothing more. Willa must be really hurt this time for her to keep Taran at distance. [I'm really sorry for what happened. I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you--] Taran started with a more cautious tone. He noticed Willa's abnormal attitude toward him as well. [It's okay. It's not your responsibility to
Kirsch's POV The second Willa broke the mind link, Taran turned around and put his fist through the wall. "Taran--" I started, but it only got Taran to hit the wall again, and again and again and again. Each time with more force. Nat flinched in horror at Taran's sudden outburst. She had never seen Taran lose control like this. I, had never seen Taran lose control like this, not when it wasn't from Cerberus. Blood splashed on the wall since the fifth hit, but Taran wasn't stopping. He pushed against the wall with one hand and was hitting the wall even harder. "Taran, I know it hurts, I understand. But Willa is still in the pack bond, I can try to talk her--" "No!" Taran growled as he wheeled on me. But at least he stopped hitting the wall. "Alpha, I know you are hurt--" I said cautiously. Though Cerberus was not awake, I didn't want to irritate him more. I had never realized so clearly before -- without Cerberus, Taran was an A
