Maverick left to fulfil the orders. When Nick said to himself, “Mirabelle, I will find you and make you mine. But, first, who exactly are you?”

Nick started doing his work, with his mind wandering on the thoughts of Emma. He tried his best to distract himself but couldn't.

He was busy finishing his work, when the landline, that was placed in front of him, started ringing.

He answered the phone with a pen in his hand, eyes on his documents. When his secretary reported from the other end of the receiver, “Sir, you have to attend a charity event. Driver is waiting for you in the parking lot.”

“Alright, I am coming.” Replied Nick and cut the call.

He signed the documents in his hands and got up from his chair, picked up his court and left his office, but not before putting his file in a perfect order.

He walked straight to the parking lot and left in his car.
