ENZO’s POV. As soon as I step out, I place the phone against my ear as a familiar voice filters into my ear. “We found the judge, boss” Stephan says from the other end. Stephan is also one of my trusted men, he also gets the job done quickly. “Good, bring him in. NATALIA’s POV. Pacing up and down the room, I pick up my phone and dial his number again but for the umpteenth time, he doesn’t answer. This is the first time he is behaving like this and he knows how much I hate to be left alone. It is already past eight and he should be back at the hotel by now. Is he with Michelle? A lot is going on in my head as I continue to pace around while still calling his number. What I am doing is interrupted when the door opens and Nicholas ventures into the room and immediately I feel the hair on the back of my neck stand on edge. Standing near the door, I can’t help but admire the man who is seated behind the mahogany desk with his attention on the documents in front of him and how he looks so good in glasses and with his hair falling over his face like that. NICHOLAS’s POV. I push open the door and saunter into the room. The moment Natalia sees me, she slowly pushes her body to a sitting position as a sigh leaves her lips. After her fall two days ago, I had to bring her back home after confirming that she lost the baby due to a miscarriage. At the time, I felt like the worst person on earth because that child was supposed to be mine but now it is gone. ENZO’s POV. I am seated on the kitchen counter watching my wife as she makes breakfast. Michelle insisted on making breakfast and I allowed her too. Now I am having a cup of coffee while watching her make breakfast for the both of us. I can’t even take my eyes off of her for reasons best known to me. Looking at how happy she looks while swinging her waist from side to side listening to some music, I make up my mind that I must protect this woman at all cost, no matter what happens. This is when the door opens and my assistant saunters into the office with some documents in hand. “Boss” he bows gently and place the documents on the table before me, “Since the press conference organized by Avanti a few hours ago, our stocks have been plummeting despite the success recorded from the fashion week” “Hmmm, I see” I don’t bother to react to it because I already knew it was going to happen after everything.
