ENZO’s POV. An hour ago. The moment Xavier brings the car to a halt in front of the hospital, I immediately alight and rush towards the entrance. I was in the meeting when Izzy called and I had to leave everything to come running back to America and goodness knows I won’t be able to forgive myself if anything happened to her. Rome is tied to a chair and he has blood dripping from his nose, Mustapha must have beat him up so badly yet again. MICHELLE’s POV. As soon as Enzo brings the car to a halt in front of the pack house, he immediately turns to me and I can see a look of impatience on his face. Lately everything has been a mess and how I wish my life can go back to normal but that can not happen as long as Natalia breathes and that’s my main concern now, to end this thing we have between us. “You have to stay in the car, Michelle” Enzo tells me, “no matter what, don’t come out of the car and let me handle this on my own” “Hmmm” I nod and he pulls me to a kiss before rushing out of the car. MICHELLE’s POV. The next day Enzo and I cuddle all morning, we have breakfast in bed and watch a movie. He tells me he is not going to the office and he will take care of me for the whole day. A gesture that makes me so happy that I just want to stay in his arms forever. After lunch, I opted to take a nap and by the time I wake I up, it was already a few minutes past four. I must have slept in because as soon as my eyes open, I catch a glimpse of Enzo pressing a kiss on my forehead and my lips curl into a small smile. NICHOLAS’s POV. Two hours ago. I drop my phone on the table before massaging the space between my brows. Earlier today, Enzo had his people call me to release Natalia to him but I refused. She was my business and I am going to make her pay for what she has done. As long as I have her under my control, she will not be able to hurt herself and Michelle will not get hurt in the process. Pressing back against the chair, my phone screen lights up and when I see the content of the message, my heart skips a beat. I have actually forgotten that today is her birthday. Michelle used to be so excited about her birthdays and now I am wondering how she is going to react to it this year.
