Just then, Violet tripped and stumbled across the silent eager Beta....

" Ahh!"

" Careful, " Ralph warned Violet gently, as his eyes pricked, and he was swift to caught her just in time.

He held Violet and rested her head on his right arm, gazing earnestly at her squeezed face.

Violet became calm when she realized something solid and muscular was protecting her.

Slowly, her thick long lashes fluttered, and her cool eyes came into view.

Ralph pulled his brows together when his eyes kissed Violet's eyes and for a moment, both were dragged into a trance.

Instantly, something sparked in them, but it was only for a second. Within that, his thought about his two men was distracted.

" Hm," Violet blinked her eyes rapidly and cleared her throat.

With this, Ralph recovered himself, and his face flushed immediately. Without saying anything, he let go of Violet and adjusted himself.

" I am sorry, I didn't mean it that way," he apologized but avoided looking at Violet.

Violet shrug
