Chapter 64

Anita was writhing on the bed until she finally jerked up. Her face was covered in beads of sweat and her heart was racing. She had been in a dream where she had seen a face. As she sat up in bed, she realized that she could not remember what her dream was all about.

She sighed and got out of her sweat clad robe. Now she was putting on that silky white nightgown. One of her favorite.

She stood up and left the room.

The whole house was as quiet as a mouse.

“I must have been up early” she whispered.

She began wandering around the Alpha’s house. From her room she moved to the next floor. It was made up of the maid quarters, some guest rooms and a little museum for artifacts.

She turned to her right and smiled at a rose flower that had been positioned by the side. It was blossoming well. She had seen it small when she first came. She bent and sniffed it. She smiled.
