Sarah understood what was going on as she was very aware that Richard was off on a business trip and Melissa was left all alone.
“I would help in whatever way I can, I told you before that i was here to support and care for you till Richard return because you need that kid of help.” Sarah said as she covered up for Melissa who stood up slowly and walked towards the barista who was now walking ahead of them with a key in his hands.
“You should be quick when leaving my boss always follows that area and I won’t want him to find you there or I might lose my job.” The barista whispered to Melissa and she nodded totally understanding everything as the barista opened the door for her and she sneaked out. Melissa starts searching for her car key as she ran quickly towards where she packed her car and opened it as she got closer with Sarah behind her.
Once sarah was sure Melissa had gotten into the car she turned around and left immediately to enter her own car and escort Melissa home from a distance but Melissa didn’t go home instead she drove straight to an hotel as that was the only place that came to her and that was the only place she thought would be safe for her.
Melissa got out of the car and was surprised to see Sarah also coming out of her car.” You followed me?” Melissa asked sarah who smiled.
“I was scared Melissa,I wanted to make sure nothing happens to you.” She said to Melissa who immediately understood her.
Melissa watched as Sarah stepped out of her car, a concerned look on her face. The sight of her friend brought a mix of surprise and gratitude to Melissa. "You followed me?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.
Sarah nodded, her voice filled with genuine concern. "I was scared, Melissa. I wanted to make sure nothing happens to you."
Melissa's heart swelled with emotions as she realized how much Sarah truly cared about her. Tears welled up in her eyes as she nodded, unable to find the right words to express her gratitude. Without hesitation, Sarah reached out and grabbed Melissa's hand, offering her comfort and support.
"We should find a safe place to stay for tonight, just in case," Sarah suggested, her voice filled with determination.
Melissa considered Sarah's words, trying to come up with a location where Lucas wouldn't think to look for her. Suddenly, an idea struck her. "There's a hotel nearby," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "I think that would be the safest option for now."
Sarah squeezed Melissa's hand reassuringly. "Okay, let's go," she said, leading the way towards the hotel. Melissa followed closely behind, her heart pounding in her chest.
As they entered the hotel lobby, they approached the front desk. Sarah discreetly explained the situation to the receptionist, who quickly understood and handed them a room key. Sarah and Melissa made their way to their designated room, still holding hands for support.
Once inside the room, Melissa couldn't shake off the fear that Lucas might somehow find her there. Despite Sarah's presence and reassurances, she couldn't help but feel on edge. She needed to take action to hide her scent, to make it harder for Lucas to track her down.
Rummaging through her bag, Melissa found a bottle of strong, musky perfume. The scent was overpowering, but she figured it would help mask her natural scent. She quickly undressed and stepped into the shower, dousing herself in hot water and scrubbing her body with the perfume-infused soap.
When Melissa emerged from the shower, covered in a thin layer of sweat and heavy with the scent of the perfume, she felt a bit more secure. It might not completely hide her presence from Lucas, but it would at least make it harder for him to track her down.
As she reentered the room, Sarah looked at her with a mixture of concern and relief. "Are you okay?" she asked softly.
Melissa nodded, giving her a weak smile. "I'm scared, but I feel safer now with you here," she admitted honestly.
Sarah stepped forward and enveloped Melissa in a warm embrace. "I won't let anything happen to you, Melissa," she whispered into her ear. "We'll get through this together."
In that moment, with Sarah by her side, Melissa believed her. She finally allowed herself to relax, knowing that she had someone who truly cared for her and was willing to do whatever it took to keep her safe.
The once-familiar street transformed into a labyrinth of dark corridors and endless hallways. The air grew colder, sending shivers down her spine.Melissa's voice trembled as she mustered the strength to speak. "Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?"Lucas's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Oh, Melissa," he sneered. "You should have known better than to cross me. I want what's rightfully mine, and I'll stop at nothing to get it."As Lucas advanced, Melissa's fear turned into determination. She refused to let him win, to let him control her life any longer. With every ounce of strength she could gather, she pushed back against the suffocating darkness.Suddenly, a blinding light erupted from within her, illuminating the nightmarish landscape. The once-formidable Lucas seemed to shrink in the face of her newfound power. He recoiled, his eyes wide with disbelief.Melissa's voice rang out, filled with a newfound confidence. "You may have haunted my dreams, Lucas, but I won'
As Melissa and Sarah walked back to their cars, Melissa couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation and excitement. She had missed Richard dearly during his trip, and the thought of seeing him again filled her with joy.As they entered the company building, Melissa's heart skipped a beat when she saw Richard standing by his desk, chatting with their colleagues. A wide smile spread across her face as she rushed towards him, unable to contain her happiness."Richard!" Melissa exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine delight. "You're back! I missed you so much!"Richard turned towards Melissa, his eyes lighting up with affection. He opened his arms, welcoming her into a warm embrace. "Melissa, I missed you too," he whispered, his voice filled with tenderness. The office fell silent as everyone watched the heartfelt reunion between Melissa and Richard. But instead of feeling embarrassed or self-conscious, Melissa felt a surge of confidence and happiness. She had overcome her fears and
As the day came to an end, Melissa, Richard, and Sarah tried to resume their work, but their minds were consumed by the emotional events that had unfolded. Melissa and Richard couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for the future, while Sarah struggled to suppress her true feelings.Sarah put on a brave face, congratulating Melissa and Richard on their relationship and their upcoming family. She acted as though she was genuinely happy for them, but deep down, anger and resentment were bubbling within her. When the workday was finally over, Sarah returned home, her emotions overwhelming her. She couldn't fathom the idea of leaving Richard for Melissa, especially after all the plans she had made from the very beginning to win him back.In her frustration and anger, Sarah began to smash things around her, the sound of shattered glass and broken objects echoing through the room. It was a release of the pent-up emotions that had been building within her for so long.
Sarah's plan was set in motion. She invited Melissa for dinner at her house, hoping that the relaxed atmosphere would make Melissa more open and vulnerable. Sarah knew that alcohol could lower inhibitions, and she intended to use that to her advantage. As Melissa arrived at Sarah's house, she seemed slightly hesitant but ultimately agreed to come inside. Sarah had prepared a delicious meal and had a bottle of wine ready on the table. She poured generous glasses for both of them, hoping that the alcohol would loosen Melissa's tongue.Throughout the evening, Sarah engaged in light conversation, trying to make Melissa feel comfortable. She asked about Melissa's childhood, her family, and her interests. Melissa answered politely but kept her responses vague, not revealing much about herself. As the night progressed, Sarah subtly encouraged Melissa to drink more, refilling her glass whenever it was empty. She knew that Melissa had a low tolerance for alcohol and hoped that it would eventua
Melissa stumbled out of Sarah's house, feeling the effects of the alcohol weighing heavily on her. She knew she was in no condition to drive, so she decided to walk to the nearest bus station instead. The cool night air hit her face as she made her way down the dimly lit streets. As she walked, Melissa's mind was filled with a mix of emotions. She couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal from Sarah's accusations. She had been honest with both Sarah and Richard, and yet she was being treated like a liar. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision as she navigated the unfamiliar neighborhood.Melissa fumbled with her phone, trying to call Richard for a ride home. But with each attempt, his phone went straight to voicemail. Panic started to rise within her. She needed to get home, to escape the suffocating weight of the evening. As Melissa continued walking, she realized that she had lost track of time. The bus station she had been aiming for was now closed, leaving her stranded
Melissa sprinted through the dark streets, her heart pounding in her chest. She could hear Lucas cursing and stumbling after her, his voice filled with anger and desperation. But she refused to let fear consume her. She knew she had to keep running, to find a place of safety. As Melissa turned a corner, she spotted a park up ahead. Without hesitation, she veered towards it, hoping that the open space would give her a chance to escape. She could feel her legs burning, her lungs gasping for air, but she pushed herself to keep going.Just as Melissa reached the entrance of the park, she felt a strong grip on her arm, yanking her back. It was Lucas, his face contorted with rage. He tightened his grip, his voice low and menacing. "Running away won't save you, Melissa. You belong to me."Melissa struggled against his hold, her heart pounding in her chest. She refused to give up, to let him control her. "You're wrong, Lucas. I don't belong to anyone. I won't let you hurt me."Lucas's grip ti
As Melissa continued to run, her tears streamed down her face, mixing with the sweat and dirt. Fear and desperation clung to her like a heavy cloak, threatening to suffocate her. In the midst of her chaotic thoughts, she found solace in a quiet prayer, seeking help from anyone who might hear her plea."Please, someone... anyone... help me," Melissa whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "I can't do this alone. I need someone to guide me, to protect me."Just as her prayer seemed to fade into the night, Melissa felt a sudden tug on her arm, pulling her into a hidden alcove. Startled, she looked up to see a kind face, filled with compassion and concern. It was an elderly woman, her eyes sparkling with warmth."There, there, my dear. You're safe now," the woman said soothingly, her voice like a gentle lullaby. "No need to cry anymore. You're not alone."Melissa's trembling lips formed a grateful smile as she took in the comforting presence of the woman. It was as if a ray of light had
Lucas's heart raced with a mix of relief and worry as he listened to Evelyn's urgent plea. He couldn't believe that Melissa was safe, but the mention of her losing consciousness sent a wave of fear crashing over him. Without hesitation, he assured Evelyn that he would be there as soon as possible.Speeding through the dark streets, Lucas couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness that he had caught up to Melissa. He had been searching for her tirelessly, fearing the worst. But now, knowing that she was in Evelyn's care, he felt a glimmer of hope.As he approached Evelyn's house, however, a strange sensation washed over him. It was as if an invisible shield had been erected, keeping him at a distance from Melissa. The feeling was unsettling, and Lucas couldn't shake the suspicion that something was amiss.Parking his car hastily, Lucas rushed to the front door and knocked urgently. Evelyn opened the door, her face etched with concern. "Lucas, thank goodness you're here," she said, her
