LILITH’S POV

My whole body was boiling over, I could feel this crazy board meeting that I had no hand in draw me to my limits.

I needed to put certain rules in place; they needed to know that all wrongdoing had consequences. My crazy half-sister had started getting ideas, all thanks to her crazy mom, who looked like a princess from the Mediterranean era; her pearls sparkled so bright, I thought it was going to blind my fucking eye.

“You aren’t saying anything, Lilith?” Her honey-like voice called the mockery in her tone setting me ablaze. I had to keep grit my teeth rapidly so I would not blow things out of proportion, her mommy dearest was here, and this fucking idiot wouldn’t see the end of me.

“And what exactly do you want me to say? Tyrone is my problem, and I would deal with it myself,” I spat out angrily, my whole body reeling with rage as I fixed her a glare.

EMMA’S POV These past four days had been hell,  four days of trying to get the image of Mordecai out of my head, and all my efforts just went down the drain; she was like a stubborn stain that just wouldn’t go, her dark broody eyes hunting my next move and that eerie smile of hers That plagued my very existence. I was in for a thrill, and there was no way out of this.I freaking saw her face in everything I did, peering at me disdainful, memories of her and Vashka asking me to hold onto my sanity for a while plaguing my head, pricking and poking me in all the wrong places.“Don’t you want to take a walk, Emma?” Lucien called from where he sat, his big broody figure hunched beside me as he read curse after curse, spell after spell. Some yielded good results, and others, well, not so much. All I knew was that if this continued, we would be cooked before the obsidian order even got to us.“No, I need to finish up with this chapter

EMMA’S POV Going With Verity had to be the wisest decision, at least with her. My death was smooth and swift, with the nerve-racking speed with which she was flying down the alley, cutting across every dip and bend of the town as she knew it like the back of her palm.Well, she was the obsidian order, so I should not expect anything less. They ran this god damned Street.I wondered if I called out to Lucien as he had claimed, wondered if he would come running out to me in a Nanosecond, protecting me as he had promised. At least it was worth a try, right?“Get off,” Verity growled, surprise and confusion washing through my veins as I watched her make her way angrily inside the antique store, her back stiff as I followed her inside the store quickly; the night air was giving me the jitters.“What took you so damned long, Verity” Tanesha called out in frustration, her voice booming around the small store, even causing some items to topple over.“Well

“Leave me alone Josh!” I say in an alarmed tone as I'm pushed against the wall. My face contorts in pain as my elbows collide with the wall. “Shut the fuck up! We both know you want me, enough with all this sly acting.” Josh says with a sneer on his lips as he leans closer to me. The pungent smell of alcohol emanating from him is enough to make me puke if I wasn't already disgusted by him. Life in Willowbrook Town is slowly becoming unbearable for me. The people's cruel nature was slowly getting to me. Their wicked words and derogatory statements cut through the pieces of my fragile heart. What's worse is that, I'm in no way to be blamed for my predicament. I was abandoned by my parents and family just a few months after I was born. The townspeople gave me away to the orphanage where I was brought up. The townspeople got it into their heads that because I grew up without my family, I don't deserve any respect or love. Almost as if it was my fault that I was abandoned. It got bet
