Asher POV

Things are getting worse, and while everyone is safe away from me, I've hurt them all. I've hurt Zyra. It's been two weeks since she told me she was pregnant. That day still gives me nightmares.

I smiled, hearing her words, and then everything intensified; everything got worse. The whispers got louder, and I struggled to stay as I was. My body began burning, and I was ready to shift.

All I wanted to do was hug her, but I couldn't. There was nothing I could do but hurt her so she would be safe from me. I saw the pure pain in her eyes after I shouted, but she had to leave. I was losing it, and if she didn't go, there was a chance I would have hurt her. To start with, I would watch her from a distance, but even doing that now makes the whispers begin and the visions.
