Finally! It was my last day at the university. My business administration studies had finally ended. I had worked hard and got nominated for the award of the year’s best student.

The graduation ceremony would be in two weeks and I planned to go on vacation with my girlfriend, Lea. I met her at the campus four years ago. She was studying business administration as well and was my classmate.

Lea was not as good as I was, though. She dropped out of the university in her first year and worked as a barista in a cafe nearby. She was an attractive girl, and I was alone. One thing led to another, and soon she was my girlfriend and sexual partner. It didn’t even cross my mind to look for my mate anymore.

Who knew? Maybe I was a mate-less werewolf.

In all the years I studied at Yale, Lea stayed by my side, supporting my efforts and bringing happiness to my life. I was in love with her and decided she would soon become my chosen mate and Luna.

I booked our tickets and surprised Lea with a trip to Italy. We spent an entire week sightseeing and having fun. I didn’t even realise it was time to fly back to California. We would visit my parents and then the four of us would return to my university for the award ceremony.

Getting to know Lea was the first thing I wanted my parents to do. Then I would tell my father about my decision to make Lea my Luna and chosen mate. I knew they would love her and accept my decision once they met her. My parents were fated mates and supported the bond our Moon Goddess created between werewolves. I hoped to change their minds once they met Lea.

Before heading to the airport, I made a quick stop at the stores and bought my parents and younger brother some presents. I hadn’t seen them in two years, and my brother must have grown up a lot.

With that thought, I hailed a taxi and asked him to drive us to the airport. It was a ten-hour flight, and I planned to rest during that time. We hadn’t slept much during our stay in Italy.

Beta Jason was going to pick us up from the airport. My parents would hold a barbeque party in the evening and invite all the pack members to celebrate my return. My mother had informed me of their plans beforehand.

I fell asleep as soon as we settled into our seats, and I didn’t even realise we had arrived in California. We left the plane, collected our luggage, and met Beta Jason at the exit.

“Hey, Daniel, welcome back, my boy,” Beta Jason said when he set his eyes on me.

“Hello uncle Jason,” I replied. He was my father’s best friend, and I considered him family.

“Did you have a pleasant flight, son?” he asked while helping me load the luggage in the boot.

“Yeah, I guess,” I replied since I didn’t know how the flight was.

“Uncle, this is my girlfriend, Lea,” I introduced her, holding her in my arms.

Beta Jason smiled at Lea and mind-linked me.

“Girlfriend? Not your mate?”

I didn’t reply, and Jason took the driver’s seat. He understood why I didn’t want to mention anything in front of Lea.

“Your mother has driven everyone insane today,” my father’s Beta smiled.

“She is dealing with tonight’s preparations and has everyone running errands for her. She can’t wait to see you, Daniel,” he continued.

I smiled. My mother loved my brother and me very much. I couldn’t wait to see her either.

While driving, Jason informed me of the pack’s news and we talked about my studies.

We arrived at the Opal Moon pack two hours later and my mother was the first to welcome us. She had been standing outside the packhouse holding my little brother’s hand.

Before the car stopped, she pulled the passenger door open and rushed me out, hugging and kissing me like crazy.

“My baby. My sweet baby. Welcome home, son. How I missed you.” She held me tight and I couldn’t escape her embrace.

“Mum, this is embarrassing, you know. I am not a small child. Can you at least keep your voice down?” I requested tenderly, hugging her back. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. My mother slapped me on the back playfully and that was when she saw Lea.

“And this is?” My mother asked, and I freed myself from her and went to Lea. “Mum, this is Lea, my girlfriend,” I said, holding Lea closer.

My mother smiled, but her eyes told me what she really thought.

“Mum, please take the time to get to know her first. Please,” I mind-linked her, and she smiled politely at Lea.

“Welcome, Lea. Let me show you around while Daniel takes the luggage upstairs.” My mother took Lea away from me.

“Don’t scare her off, mum,” I joked, leaving for my room.

I wanted to freshen up before meeting anyone else. I took the stairs to the third floor and entered my room. Everything was tidy and my belongings were exactly where I had left them.

The sound of things moving in the bathroom caught my attention. I walked towards it and saw that the door was ajar) I stood at the door and eyed two round buttocks supported by two long, toned, slim legs in a bent position. The woman had been placing my bathroom toiletries in order.

A muffled sound escaped my mouth at the sight of her, and I felt aroused. If her front were like her backside, the chick would be a sin to look at. Who was she? An Omega, I guessed since she was placing things on my bathtub’s surface.

She turned my way and hit her face on my chest. She pulled back and I held her, preventing her from falling backwards. When she looked up, I met with a stunning beauty with braids. The way she looked at me was amusing and I teased her.

“What do we have here?”

She looked so funny, watching me like that.

She ran her tongue over her lips and I got aroused again. Who was she?

“I…” she tried to say.

“Daniel?” Lea had come upstairs. I left in a hurry and hugged my girlfriend, kissing her and apologising for leaving her alone.

The other girl came into the room. I felt so guilty towards Lea for having dirty thoughts about the Omega. I hugged Lea tighter and called the girl, who seemed lost in thoughts.

“Hey, you. Yes, you,” I said when she looked up. She seemed confused.

“Get lost,” I ordered, and she looked at me with those big dark blue eyes.

“What are you waiting for? Get out,” I repeated, giving her a deadly glare.

The girl looked hurt at my attitude, but my guilt for Lea prevented me from being polite to her.

“Baby, who is she?” Lea asked as the girl proceeded to the door with her head lowered.

“An Omega my mother probably sent to arrange our room,” I replied and noticed the girl lowering her head even more as she left, closing the door behind her.

Why was I feeling guilty for the way I treated her?

“Because you have been having dirty thoughts about the Omega since you saw her. She didn’t provoke you intentionally, Daniel. Her sexy appearance aroused me too.” My wolf, Cole, confronted me.

I shook my head in denial. She was an Omega, and she meant nothing to me. I had devoted myself to Lea and our relationship. I could not allow myself to think about anyone else but Lea.

I locked my door, pulled Lea into the bathroom, and helped her remove her clothes.

“Let’s get cleaned up, baby. We must go back downstairs and introduce you to my father and brother. They must be waiting for us,” I informed her.

Lea chuckled and followed me into the bathtub as I filled it with water. I placed her between my thighs, touching her buttocks, rubbing her soaked back, and closing my eyes.

Two round buttocks and a pair of long, toned legs wrapped in tight leggings came to my mind in a flash, and I let an aroused growl escape my mouth, cursing myself inwardly.

What the fuck?

“I guess the chick has made an impression on you, pal,” Cole teased me and I shook my head, annoyed.

No. I couldn’t betray Lea, period. I gritted my teeth in annoyance. Shit!
