My eyes feel heavy as I slowly awaken. I do a full-body stretch before I tuck my head closer to Lucifer’s neck. His fingers traverse gently down my spine, and his chest rises and falls with his steady breaths. After a moment, I glance up at him from the fringe of my lashes. He must feel my gaze because he stops caressing me and smiles. “Good morning, mate,” he mutters huskily.

A corresponding smile stretches across my lips. Even with all of the things that have been happening, I can’t but feel extremely contented to be in my mate’s arms. It also makes something inside of me heal when he calls me his mate.

Lucifer Michael, Lana and I do not waste a moment getting to Santorini. It’s deep into the night when we reach the city center. I look around the starless sky before taking my mate’s hand and leading her toward a nearby street. Santorini is a beautiful city. With its ancient visage and cobblestone streets, you can get lost in its historical vibe. We look around the dimly lit streets and search the shadows. “Do you know where we are supposed to meet the fate?” Michael asks. I shake my head, “No, we were only able to guess on her proximity.” He arches a sardonic brow, “She can be anywhere, frère.” &n

Lana Looking, I blink my eyes, shocked to find myself in the middle of an empty street. My chest heaves and my body hurts as I rush through the streets. The sound of rushing feet behind me makes my heart beat wildly inside of my chest, and glass shatters around me, making me cry out with fear as I run into a building. Slinking down on a nearby wall, I look around and make sure that I wasn’t followed. After a minute, I rest my head against the wall and close my eyes. I touch my cheek and wince when I hear a sound nearby. Reaching for a shard of glass on the ground, I lift it like a weapon. I look at the glassy surface and see that my ebony hair is tousled, my large, and my hazel eyes look sunken from lack of sleep. Let’s not forget how much my body aches from the beating I took before I ra

  • Lucifer   Chapter 18: It will begin

Lucifer I look at Lana and can’t help but feel that something is off. Though we made love and held each other, I feel that I made a misstep when we spoke. I don’t know why, but I think my answer when she asked me if I cared for her was not the response she was expecting. As my eyes run caressingly across her beautiful face, I think about everything she makes me feel. For so long, I was alone until I discovered Fallon’s existence. At first, I was in disbelief because I never thought I could have children. But when I saw him, I knew he was mine, and I felt our bond. I never in a million years thought I’d find myself facing my soul mate or that she’s chip away at the walls I put around my once dead heart.&nbs

Lana I scream in my head as Apolliana raises her hand and pushes power into Michael and Rafel. Both males fly back as if struck and slide across the floor. Lucifer grips me tightly, but I let my power cover him until his hold begins to loosen. Unfortunately, Apolliana uses his affection for me to her advantage because I know that he’s holding back from hurting us. His eyes glow fiery as he tries to fight me without doing me any harm, but Apolliana is too powerful. As Lucifer begins to lose consciousness, I conclude that Apolliana has finally gained full control of my being. I almost vomit when she reaches for her weapon and aims it at Lucifer’s neck.&

Michael and Rafael stop beside me and give me grim frowns. “Where the bloody hell is she?” I ask. Michael shakes his head, “I don’t know, frère; she flashed out of the

Lucifer Fallon, my brothers Gabriel and Michael stand by me at the altar while Rafael prepares to officiate my wedding. Looking back, I adjust my tuxedo jacket and look onto our guests. At first, my brothers thought I was mad when I decided to propose to Lana, considering we’re already soulmates and we’re angels, but after I explained that I wanted her to be recognized as mine under every law, they relented. Lana and I decided to have a small ceremony in our home. We hired a planner who set up a wedding arch covered in sheer drapes and colorful flowers. The warm ocean breeze is gentle, and the platform we set up to seat our desks and the altar keeps the sand off our shoes. The wooden chairs are spaced out around the p

Lana I walk up the podium and accept my diploma with a happy grin before turning and facing my cheering family. Lucifer claps loudly while my crazy sister and Zoe jump up and down gleefully. Azazel and Fallon give them women a horrified look when their women start chanting my name. I love both women, but sometimes they can be so embarrassing. Over the past months, so much has happened. As Lucifer and I agreed, I went back to the Grand Canyon and finished my research with my team. They were none the wiser of what happened after I disappeared. Somehow, Michael made it, so the project was extended until I gathered all of the information that I needed.Bree was happy when I told her that I was moving in with Lucifer. His house

Lucifer “I’m sorry, Gabriel, but I don’t remember much about my sisters. Even in my visions, their faces were obscured by shadows. I don’t even know their human names. I just referred to them by their horsemen names. All I can tell you is that they were close to my age. The other had brown hair and oddly shaded eyes, and the other had red hair. The only thing they had in common is that they all seemed to be frightened of someone who wanted to hurt them. I don’t remember anything else. I’m sorry,” Michael sits forward in his seat and places his elbows on his knees thoughtfully. “We understand, chérie.” Rafael looks intently into the fireplace and frowns, “Perhaps we can speak to a witch. There might be a spell that can help us

Lana I grip Lucifer’s hand tightly as we stand outside my sister’s home. Lucifer told me that since my death, Bree and Azazel have frequently been stopping in to check on Bree. My heart beat’s wildly in my chest; I ring the doorbell and tap my foot as I wait for the door to open. Fallon opens the door with a smile that quickly turns to shocks when he sees me. “Lana?” he blinks fast as if he thinks he might be seeing things. “We can explain everything once you let us in?” Lucifer snickers. Fallon opens the door wide and gestures for us to walk in.&nb

Lucifer “No!” I cry out as I watch the love of my life stab herself in the heart and plunge into The Creator’s seal. Despair fills me as I rush to the chasm, but I know I will not get there in time. Bursts of light erupt around me, nearly blinding me as The Creator shatters to pieces like broken glass and is sucked into the void. I don’t care what happens after that as the power gets sucked back into the abyss. I follow the current of power as it drains, but I don’t see Lana anywhere. Within seconds the power sizzles out, and all that is left is darkness. “Lana!” I call out helplessly, “Lana, I’m here!” Unfortunately, the only sound that I hear is my voice echoing back t
