Emma.

My mother became nervous immediately, adjusted everything and drank water to keep her breath fresh. She had told everyone to behave well and wear good clothes. The knock came, and Tevin went to answer the door. I did not know I was holding my breath until I exhaled when the person entered. Luca had come by himself. He looked good in a white t-shirt and blue-faded jeans. He did not look like a boss or an alpha; he looked like a rich guy with no care in the world. His stern expression was softened by the smile on his face. The man was handsome. I saw my mother blushing when he kissed the back of her hand. He was a charmer. She offered him a seat and tea. He politely accepted the offer and relaxed.

"Emma, come on," my mother said, and I walked to where they were. He looked up at me and smiled.

"It is good to see some light in your eyes this morning," He said to me, and I smiled a bit and bowed my head.

"Good morning, alpha.." I said, not knowing what to call him but not wanting

Emma. I was still sleeping when I heard a banging on my door. I woke up and looked outside. It was evening time. I must have been exhausted. I guess I was just trying to catch up on the sleep my body missed for the one month my family was held as slaves. I got up and went to open the door. I was surprised to see it was Luca. He was fuming with anger, but he was controlling himself. I got a bit scared and stepped back. I honestly did not know him, nor did I know what he was capable of. I might have dreamt of someone that looked like him, but I did not know him. It would be stupid of me to land myself in a mess with him. "Calm down, Emma," he said, controlling his breathing, and I could feel his rage. "Where are your stuff?" He asked me, and I pointed at the bag by the cupboard. I was yet to unpack. "Did you tell her we are married?" He asked me, and I shook my head. I honestly did not know if it was a good thing or a bad thing. He went to pick up my bag from where it was. "Did you

Luca. When I returned home, one of my men told me my mother had put Emma in the servant quarters, which made my blood boil. I had just taken her away from that kind of life; It was wrong and derogatory for my mother to do such a thing. I knew she was an omega, but it did not give her the right. I walked into the house fuming, and my mother greeted me at the door. "You stayed too long out there?" she said, coming to hug me. I let her and then pulled away. "Where is my wife?" I asked her, and she frowned at me. "Emma," I said, and realisation dawned on her. "Emma is your wife? When did you marry her, and why was I not informed?" she asked accusingly. "It was quiet. We both agreed we did not want something loud, and I am not a child. I do not need permission to get married," I told her, and she looked hurt. "How could you tie yourself to a low-level Omega? They are just for pleasure and service. How could you? Do you know how important the position you occupy is? You can't hold on

Luca. We finished up at the restaurant and headed to a clothing store. I had booked ahead, and they had cleared out the store so we could shop in peace. When we arrived there, my men arrived to guard the place and Emma and I went inside. "Good morning Mr Alessandro, welcome," the store owner, who was also a designer, greeted me, and I smiled at him. His name was Luciano Russo, and he was the best in the country. "Luciano, meet my wife, Emma," I said, and he was shocked and happy at the same time. He shook Emma's delicate hand, and I felt a growl trying to escape my mouth, but I held it. "You are welcome. She is stunning," he said to me, and I nodded. I already knew she was a beauty. Luciano was a human clueless about our world, so he did not know she was an Omega or what it meant. "We will do both her hair, dress and makeup. You will fall in love all over again, Mr Alessandro," he teased, and we all laughed, but I noticed Emma blush a bit, which was cute. He urged her to come with

  • Luca's Inferno   15 More Than An Omega

Emma The kiss was breathtaking. I let myself fall into it entirely. I did not know why he kissed me, but I was glad he did because I had longed for him to kiss me again since that day at Alpha Gibson's doorstep. I enjoyed the moment, and a soft moan escaped my lips. It was a sweet and gentle kiss that made me wish more was between us; he would have been taking off my clothes tonight. Luca gently pulled away, and I rested my head back on his chest while we continued to move to the music. I knew why he had kissed me because people started thinking his mother had lied when she told them it was a contract marriage and I was being paid to hang around. I guess Luca did not appreciate her behaviour. I had called my brother after I left Luca's room, and he was glad I was settling in well. My family were not expecting me to be cared for, but when I told him how kind Luca was to me, he was relieved. I promised to call him every night now that I had a personal phone. I called Heather, too, and

  • Luca's Inferno   16 No Strings, Touch Me

Emma. Luca broke the kiss and stared into my eyes. I was breathing hard, and I knew my eyes reflected what I wanted. I did not want him to stop; he knew it, so he crashed his lips against mine and continued. Who needs butterflies when I have the entire zoo in my stomach? His scent filled my senses, and he tasted so sweet. That I had been pleasure starved for months did not help either. I did not know how much I was dying for his touch until this. I wanted him to touch me. He laid me on his bed and continued to kiss me, then he travelled with his kisses down my neck. I moaned. My panties were soaked. I could smell my arousal, so I knew he could too. He took off my shirt, and I eagerly let him. I wasn't thinking at those moments. I just wanted him. I wanted all of him. "Luca," I moaned and felt his mouth on my nipple. I arched my back into the bed to give him more access, and he touched my other breast in his hand and worked on my nipple. It felt so damn sweet, and I loved it. I ra

Luca. This was amazing. Emma was something else. Throughout my trip to Celio, all I thought about was our night together. I wasn't courting her, yet she responded to me as if we had been together for a long time. The way she moaned and responded to my touch was like no other. The sex was perfect. I had to move her to my room. After our night together, I knew I would not be able to handle being away from her. She was amazing. I kept adjusting myself in the back seat of the car. I did it so much that Gerald had to ask me if everything was okay. Goddess knows if I had taken her with me on the trip, I would be pumping myself into her. I wanted more. I had never been with an Omega before. Was this what it was like? She submitted her entire body to me and gave me what I wanted. I wouldn't have taken her if she did not ask me to. I did not want to complicate our relationship, but the way my body was feeling got me worried. I was okay with being friends. My lifestyle was too damn dangerou

Emma Things had gotten really heated between Luca and me, and as much as I liked it, I knew we had just complicated things. How was I going to walk away after all this? We had been sleeping together for a month, and every time I thought about how quickly the time was flying, I got so scared that I would sometimes cry in the toilet. I feared how I would feel when all of this was over. I knew he was my Declan, but I did not have the power to hold on to him. I secretly put myself on birth control to avoid complicating matters any further. He was delighted around me, and I knew he needed the happiness because he had been stressed out lately. Too many attacks. He never discussed his business with me, but I knew from the conversations I could pick up on that he was having a hard time holding on to power. His mother had visited twice, and I was grateful she was out of my hair. Maybe the whole contract thing made me less of a threat to her. I was grateful. I hated conflict and drama, and she

  • Luca's Inferno   19 Going Through The Motions

Emma The sorrow was immense. Luca cried and broke a lot of things. I became scared that he might lose it. It was an enormous trauma. The Alessandros wanted a quiet funeral, and so it was only family members that were invited. I didn't want to go because I did not qualify as a family member, but Luca had insisted. I did not want to face his mother, so I tried my luck again while putting on my clothes. "Maybe I should remain, Luca. Your mother would be in pain right now, and you know how much she hates me. This is not the time to ruffle her feathers." I asked gently, and he was silent; then walked up to where I was and turned me around to look at him. His eyes were sad and angry. The incident had touched him in the worst way ever. "I want you beside me, Emma. I need you there," he said in the words he could manage. Since the incident, he had spoken few words. He hardly slept at night, and most of the time, he would come home covered in blood that did not belong to him. I knew Luca had

Luca. Leaving Emma at home with the women, the rest of us decided to have the last meeting at the packhouse before everyone left. For the first time, Luciano joined us. He was hurt to learn of his brother's betrayal, and he later admitted that many things made sense to him now that the truth was out in the open. We also found out that they were able to get Perez and the other three families based on Mario's cooperation. They had promised the idiot the alpha of Ashfield, and he had taken it. To think my family disliked the Russos because of betrayal was ironic because Mario had just betrayed everyone who cared about him and his well-being. It was a shame and hard to fathom why he would do it, but the bottom line is he did it and almost succeeded in helping them to wipe us out. Deigo's death was a sweet victory. I had carried out my anger for Roberto and Emma on him. As for my brothers, I could see why Emma was not afraid of them. They were feeble-minded and gullible. Because of what

Lacy. I had my heart in my mouth all through the night. I prayed to the goddess to keep them safe. Mathias and his wife were with me in our house, but I couldn't focus. Knowing that there would be a fight and Theo and my son would be there scared me. I was mad at Emma for following, but I knew she would not agree to remain as I did. I just had to hope that the goddess would make it easy and they come home to me. Katya had fallen asleep on the couch, and I linked Miranda to take her to her room. Every time Mathais or Leonard's phone rang, I was on alert. I could hear the pounding beat of my heart. I was afraid, and I dreaded the worse happening. I prayed to the goddess to protect them and bless them. I promised to be more forgiving and quick to let things go. I promised to express myself a bit more if she brought them home to me safely. Leonardo's phone rang at ten in the night, and my brother had to keep the suspense high by walking away from the living room to answer the call. I knew

Luca. We arrived at the venue by six in the evening. I was eager to get it over with. I wanted it to be over. Hopefully, it wasn't a trap, and we succeeded. I wasn't happy that I was to spare the lives of the two creeps there who were my half brothers, but a deal was a deal, and I did not plan on going back on my word. As terrible as the Motzaretti clan were, they had united all the families. Having one enemy and fighting for survival made all of us realise what was best. I hoped we won the fight tonight and kept the lessons that Johanna Wallace helped impact on us with his ruthless ways. Before we came there, we researched and realised the guy was a nobody. I could easily take him, but I had to be careful. I turned to look at Emma beside me and touched her thigh. ''You have to promise me you will be out of that place once Marco and Randy have been bound with Silver. We do not know their strength level, but I need you to be safe so I can focus and end this guy." I told her, and she

Theo The day of my initiation had finally come, and I noticed Karolyn was uneasy. She was better now, and I was glad I could get her meds. She looked nervous, and I knew she was worried. I had assured her that Luca would spare our sons, so I did not know what her problem was. "Why are you looking worried," I asked her, and she looked at me with tears in her eyes. "I am worried about how tonight will play out. I have never been in a fight before, and my uncle is cunning. What if he kills my sons to teach me a lesson?" She asked, and I understood her fear. I remembered the note he sent her along with her meds, and I knew the guy was a heartless man. He was ready to let her die the most excruciating death simply because she did not give him the kind of information he needed to be successful. Karolyn was supposed to be his niece, yet he treated her like something he could use and discard. I understood her fear because the man had no regard for life, family or bonds. He was a monster. It

  • Luca's Inferno   83 Preparation And Hope

Emma, Luca told everyone what Theo had told us, and they were excited and shocked at the same time. We had all been waiting for this break and finally had it. "I say we make an example of those traitors and kill them most excruciatingly," Mathias said out of anger. He did not seem like the type to handle betrayal lightly. We had been living in hell for a while now, not knowing where the problem was coming from; instead of those two workings against them, they decided to drink the cool aid. Mathias was mad. "This makes a lot of sense now. Every effort we have made to get the cult has been futile. They have been one step ahead of us all the time. I now realise that Mario Russo was the issue," Mathias said, and I knew his pain because we had a few general meetings with Marco Diaz and all our plans had no headway too. They were smart to recruit one person on each side. "We can't kill them. We do not want to create a problem for ourselves. It is still based on speculation. We need proof

  • Luca's Inferno   82 Finally, The Break Needed

Luca, A week had passed, and my father was still yet to get to the bottom of the matter. The woman was a tough bitch to crack. Mathias told me my father had called to ask him for money and that it would be nice for me to reconcile with my father. I knew all of them thought the fight between us was real, and I could not wait to end the pretence. The investigation wasn't getting anywhere, and it seemed the people were getting comfortable in the packhouse. Slowly it was beginning to seem like we would be in Celio longer than expected. I did not know what to do. My mother had pleaded with me to tell my father to abort the mission, and slowly I began to agree that if another week should pass and Karolyn didn't crack, I would ask him to come home. I would rather have him with me than far away sleeping with the enemy. I sat in my home office going through some reports when Emma walked in. She had dark circles, and it was partly my fault. We had not been sleeping. We tried to stay awake as m

Theo, I sat in the house a bit impatient. I wanted to call Luca to find out how Lacy was doing, but I was being careful. I needed to keep up my pretence just in case I was being watched. I remained in the house doing all I would have typically done when I believed Karolyn had cancer. I decided to make some calls to ask for money. I knew she must have bugged my phone by now; I couldn't wait to stop the pretences. She returned later in the afternoon looking sad, and I wondered what was up with her. I was honestly getting impatient and did not want to linger with her anymore. Her mood was down, and she looked sick. She walked passed me and went to the bedroom. I tried to look at her as she moved, and it looked like I was admiring her, but I was just curious. A few minutes later, she entered the room, popped her head through the door, and smiled at me. "Aren't you coming?" She asked, and a grumble almost escaped my lips, but I held it. I smiled and followed her. How could she switch

Lacy. Why would Theo do this to me? I was only trying to make him suffer before taking him back. I was honestly relieved that he did not send that message and that he did not leave me for her. I guess she played her cards well. The bitch. If I had not received that message, I wouldn't have sent him horrible messages, and he would have just checked on her and come home. Karolyn had complicated our lives for her selfish gain. I doubt if she loved him. She was just using him. I was mad at Theo for risking his life like this. I knew it was a good cause, but the price was steep. I knew I could not be crying and moping about my room. I had to make decisions that would aid his cause. I sat up in bed and set aside my hurt. I locked my room because this was a crucial moment for me. Every decision I made now would determine the outcome of things. I needed to find a way to aid Theo from afar. Emma had knocked on the door a couple of times. She had also brought Katya to knock on the door. Emm

Luca, It had just been a few hours, but I was uneasy. It was almost afternoon, and I was still waiting to hear from my old man. I knew it would not be like magic, but I was hoping he would get there, get what we needed and get out, but it would not be that way. I knew he would have to work on the bitch. She had been masterful and played him for so long that it would be only befitting if he did the same to her. My mother was hurting. She had not been alright since she learned what had happened, and I feared for her health. The moment Emma left her, she locked herself up in her room and wept. I waited for Castelo and Aldo to return before sending for my uncle and Emma's brothers. I wanted us to meet at my house before we went to the packhouse and give them a fictitious task to perform. We needed whoever their mole was, if any, to always have a report to provide the cult with, so my father would be successful. I prayed to the goddess to keep him safe.
