For some reason, it was difficult to simply fall asleep. I had to pretend everything was fine. This was a night like every other night so why couldn’t I just fall asleep? Then I remembered. This night was not like every other night, not when I had Regina Donovan and her busybody friend somewhere in my study.I had to come to terms with reality – their presence was awkwardly intruding my sleep. Was it because every now and then, I could perceive their scent from within the house?I was so annoyed that I rose from bed now and took out a special spray which was normally used to mask the scent of creatures and sprayed it around my room.
