Aurora walked habitually to the entrance of the hall and was about to knock on the door when she heard voices from inside.

"Mother, has Mister Hart given any instructions lately?" It was Elijah's father speaking.

Old Madam Harrisons responded, "No. We can lay back for the next few days."
