Scared that Nathaniel Dave may find out that she was not the lady he promised to marry, he went to Nathaniel Dave's father house and broke in, with the help of some men of course.
She took almost twelve hours before she finally found his diary in a room, she had once heard Nathaniel Dave say that his dairy was in his father's house.
If she steals the diary and the diary was found with her , she will be accused or stealing so she only wrote down all the necessary information, one of them was the scars on her back.
What was in her back wasn't a scar, it was drawn by an artiste to make it look like a scar.
Even if all her secretes were revealed, as long as Nathaniel Dave sees her as the lady he promised to marry, he would be left with no choice but to stand by his promise.
