As Mr. Dum drives Xander home from work as usual, the sky suddenly turns gray, and a few drops of rain fell. Mr. Dum clicks his tongue in annoyance. "Looks like we're in for a bit of weather," he says, peering up at the sky.The rain falls relentlessly, pelting down in sheets that blurred the streets beyond the windshield. Xander leans forward in the back seat, squinting to see through the downpour. The same route he took every day from his office to his apartment, but the rain made it feel like a different world entirely. The windshield wipers beat back and forth in a steady rhythm, but it seemed like they could barely keep up with the deluge. The street outside was a blur of gray, and the rain seemed to have erased all sound except for the drumming on the roof of the car.He yawns and rubs his eyes, wishing he could just close them for a minute as he was tired after a long day at work, but he knows he has to stay alert. The roads were slick with rain, and other drivers were moving c
"Hmmmm," he exhales, continuing with a straight voice. "You do remember who you are speaking with, right?" He overs the phone speaker to laugh out loud so she doesn't hear that. With fear filled in her heart, she realises herself and stammers as she replies. "No sir, I meant no disregard. I apologize for my insolence." Behaving so formal with him, and just then he cuts her off before she says another thing."What? you are so formal all of a sudden. Come on, Susan am kidding with you.""You know nobody respects me and helps me out the way you do. Some persons who have helped me in the past, did so by taking advantage of my good nature and since then I have been so careful or should I say meticulous with my behaviour towards people. But getting to know you, I have regained my sense of laughter and joy. Thank you."So shocked as she has never seen her boss in that manner as someone so emotional. She quietly mutters. "Hmmm, sir, it's my pleasure talking with someone of you status and who
Waking up this morning, Susan feels so good and she can't tell why. She relives the moment of yesterday when she chatted and spoke with her boss, Mr Xander. She looks. It's almost seven o'clock in the morning and she notices her clock seems to have a problem. Because the alarm surely did not sound. She is awake because she is now used to the time frame of waking up in the morning. In a bit of a hurry to meet work early before her boss, she takes thirty minutes to take her bath, arrange the house and not been able to eat breakfast, she just grabs a small size fruit juice from the fridge and out she is off to the office. While seated in the car, she opens her phone to be time conscious and then she sees the missed calls from Ava, last night. She didn't call back last night, as it was pretty much late to call someone by that time. She immediately dials her number and after two calls, she didn't pick. Susan resolves at seeing her when she gets to work now."Finally, I'm here." Susan exhal
Mr Xander bursts into Susan's morning as he arrives at work. But on entering, he discovers Ava is inside with Susan. From what he can say, they must have been chatting all this while. Before Ava exits the office, she looks at Xander as if she was going to chew him right away. Mr Xander looks away, now focusing his gaze on Susan. Susan, on seeing Mr Xander enter her office, in sign of surprise and respect, she stands and walks out of her desk.Standing so firmly with her hands at her back. She shakingly says out to his hearing as Ava exits, closing the door. "Good morning sir, how was your night? Hope it went well." She holds her breath as he walks towards her and then questions him again before he could answer the first one. "Sir, what brings you here? Do you need anything? I can bring it to your office."He stops some away from where Susan stands and then puts his two hands inside his pocket. Looking into her eyes as she blinks constantly, trying to lose eye contact."Good morning S
Hearing the scream coming from Ava, they both realize themselves and immediately separate, pulling off from each other. Mr Xander, shy for the first time. And Susan being embarrassed as it's her first kiss. She hurriedly drops the document on the chair Mr Xander sat on before the incident. She immediately runs out of the office to the staff restroom on their own floor. She didn't even notice Ava as she ran out to talk more about looking at her Mr Xander. As Susan leaves the office, Mr Xander brushes his suite well to relieve himself as he was a little shaken. As he moves to the chair, he picks up the file and then sits back at the chair to examine the file and also waits for Susan to arrive so he can apologize and let her know it was just an accident and nothing much. He would not want to lose a friend like her. Ava draws close to where he sits and then calls on him "Sir, you are still here? Wow... Seems to me you love the office. We could switch yours and her office." As she tries
In a close range, looking him in the eyes, Susan speaks up. "With all do respect sir, I heard that you and Ava have been close before I started working here at your company, right?""We're just friend...Nothing more." Xander replies with a straight look without hesitation."And working here, she befriended me and for the first time in my life, I was happy I have someone to speak with at my work place." She says continuing to explain a fact to him."But of recent she looks at me differently. Sometimes with disdain in her eyes. That, I can't tell what's going on with her. I planned to keep a low profile and cause no trouble in this company, I don't know but I already feel like I'm in trouble already. So here comes my question sir, is something going on between you and miss Ava? Because there is definitely no problem with that."A moment of silence fills Xander as he is stalk contemplating in his mind whether he should trust the fact that Susan has high respect for him and would not mis
Mrs Tina has been waiting to hear from Ava since the last time she visited Mr Xander at his company. Ava makes the call as she is left with no option. She knows she isn't really familiar with who Mrs Tina is to her boss asides the fact that she's Xander's aunty. And that was the first time they met haven worked for Mr Xander for so long.In a gentle manner, Ava speaks to her. "Mrs. Tina, how are you doing today? Longest time." She remains quiet.Aunt Tina mysteriously laughs out loud on the phone, as she energetically says. "I'm doing great, Ava. How about you? I have long expected your call, but you weren't coming fought. I almost gave up on you." She smiles as she breaks the silence over the phone."Are you there or?""I'm doing well, thanks. I was hoping to get your advice on something. You're a great relationship coach, and I could really use some help. About what you said the other day, but before that, I need you to answer some of my questions." She waits to hear her response."
Ava's hands tremble at seeing Susan stand there at the door. How did she even come in without the sound from the door? How long has she been standing there? Did she hear all I was saying now? These go through Ava's mind as she stares at Susan, who is standing at her door looking right at her. To be sure, she quickly covers up by saying."Alright ma'am. I understand. I will call you back later. Do have a great day." She speaks so formally to deceive Susan of what she must have heard.Susan observes, she is done with her calling, so she walks fast to her desk. She keeps a frowning face. She wishes to explain to Ava that what she saw in the morning was an accident and it's totally a misunderstanding. Ava stares at her with curiosity filled in her eyes. Both stares at each other for a while. Who will go first? They both wonder."Ava..""Susan…". Both mutters the same time."Okay… You go first." Susan stretches her hands to Ava.Ava scoffs, putting out a plastic smile. "No! You go first."
