Chapter 6:

★★JAYDEN★★

  I rested for a while in the bushes before pulling myself up to go back to my house, The whole room smelt of the old food. I switched on the light and staggered to my room, sitting while backing the mirror,  I feel so lazy. I looked at the wound on my back, it's so painful, did she take out my flesh along with the bullet?

  After having a bath, I tried sleeping, but I had insomnia. I took some pills to help me rest, but it didn't have any effect on me, my damn eyes were still wide open, I walked around, till the time hit 2:00 in the morning and I went to look over the window, 

The girl who helped me was sitting outside, she was shivering, why would she sit outside at this time of the night, "Useless." I thought, but then again, she may be outside for losing the bedsheet with her, and staying out Till that time while helping me.

 I am not to pity anyone, I just feel bad for the fact that I forced her to help me and now, maybe her family must have driven her because of that.

 Which parents do that to their children? Oh... I remember, my father used to do more worst to me. He told my mother that he doesn't believe am their son, Maybe he thought their son was changed in the hospital?

I stared at the scar in my arm, the feelings started, I felt sour again like I would only feel better after killing someone. 

I can remember how bad my father used to treat me, he would lock me in the room without food for days because he says I am Rebellious, not the son he wanted.

My mother would sneak in to give me food. He always said I was the dull one, but now, I'm so rich that I could buy the whole of the family and the properties in their names along. At least what I thought.

I picked a blanket and made my way outside, ‘I should give this to her so she doesn't get sick.’

 "Take..." I said and stretched out the blanket to her reach.

   She slowly opened her dull eyes staring at me, her pale face made it more like she wasn't well, but again, she was this pale when I found her the first time.

"I didn't ask for it. who are you?" she said.

  Wait, she's the take-out girl from that restaurant. She has the most innocent look, I think she should be about sixteen. 'Jayden, you're so shameless, you forced a teenage girl to help your wounds.’ I scolded myself hard, with the urge to slap my face, sighing a bit as I felt I had a conscience, after all these years of never looking back, even though the Others thought I was wrong, I tried moving closer, but she turned her face to the other side. 

      "Her kid...!" I called her, as I did not know her name.. "I'm trying to help you out so you don't catch a cold, you're giving me an attitude? Insolent." I murmured the last word.

   She was still quiet. I get pissed off easily, and it seems like she's fine and won't be needing my help so...

 I went back in. She can fuckin' freeze to death, I don't care.

Finally, I started to feel a bit tired, it was time to sleep.

   "Hello, Gabriel?" I called the person from the other end of the phone... He was yawing over the phone. A lazy man. "Don't you think you should be up by this time?!" I didn't think he heard me clearly, and I finally lost my cool, yelling over the phone.

"I'm awake! I'm the awake boss" he said.

 I opened the bottle of alcohol, smelled it, harsh, just like I Preferred...

  I walked to the dining in the living room, sitting on the edge of the table with one leg on.

  "Gabriel, I want you to get me something..."

 "Yes, boss..."

   I want a forged paper of Wayne's construction company-"

       "Boss, isn't that too dangerous?" He interrupted. I think he might have forgotten who the boss is, maybe due to my absence.

   "Never interrupt me, Gabriel!" I sighed. I need to calm down, I promised myself I won't yell at him again... I try to take a deep breath after drinking a glass of Alcohol. He's doing a great job. 

  'Learn to appreciate Jayden, learn to appreciate' my head tries to calm down. I'm even more worked up than normal.

       "Gabriel..." I smile even though he couldn't see that. I'm hiding like a rat because of my actions.

    "Can you do it or not?"

  "Boss, This is almost impossible, you Can't get him to sign, and he has a bunch of lawyers he pays millions, do you think they would be doing nothing and just spending?"

"Just prepare it, I'll email you something a bit later, Compile everything. And also, I am not a fool to pay the lawyer am I?"

 "Ok boss. It would be done just as you want it. But how are you going to get him to sign?" 

   I dimmed my eyeballs, rubbed my temple "leave That to me." He's going to pay dearly for the actions of his men. The anger in me burns more than the bullet did.

   My mind swung back to the girl of last night. She looks so innocent, why would someone mistreat their Children? And then I am suddenly hungry. 

I Picked my phone again and ordered take-out from the restaurant even I don't crave Italian food. She was here with the food earlier than I expected.

Here... The girl who gives me a confusing feeling. Giving me a feeling like I need to protect her. I let her knock on the door for a while, admiring her even though she's just a teenager. She had a cute appearance, even With the freckles on her face and her unattractive dress.

  I put on a black shirt, the sore is already bleeding, I'll go to the pharmacy to dress it later.

 She stared at me for a while, focusing her eyes on my face, like she was trying to remember something.

 "Good morning from Yanky brass." She greeted politely and tried to avoid my greedy eyes gazing at her.

  She held the food, wanting to hand me the food. I'm so lost in her eyes. Her small form made me go crazy for some reason. Which is almost impossible in my case. I've always disliked little women, no offense, I think they are most dangerous.

   I brush my hand on hers lightly, with no intentions to collect the meal from her, she pushed the bag In my hand, forcing her hand free from mine, I sensed she was already feeling uncomfortable, and they turned to leave.

     "Stop..." I added, and She did. I dipped my hand in my pocket and brought out money "A tip for a job well done." I said with a cocky smile, she moved back a little. I dipped the tip in her breast pocket.

I felt the urge to know her more, I want to take control of her little form, I'd love to bully her and press her small form under me, even though she's not the kind of girl I would go out in public with, she's not so beautiful.
