Sanjay frantically hurried off to Darjeeling once he received a phone call from Damini's father which contained a long lecture about safekeeping of young daughters.
Once Sanjay reached there, he could assess the situation clearly. Damini's father was not at all happy with the sudden appearance of Reshma and he made sure his displeasure was known to her. Sanjay picked up a tearful Reshma and took her to a nice hotel in Darjeeling, where the father daughter finally had a heart to heart talk.
"No one wants me in their life... neither my Bade Abbu (grandfather) nor these people." She cried.
"Why do you say that Reshma? I want you to be a part of my life. I love you as much as I love Chandni. We can all be happy together.
Whatever life throws at us, if we survive it, it is purely because of the shield of love from our near and dear. This is something I have always believed in, emphasized in every book I wrote. Damini was an innocent victim of the inhuman tragedy that some cowards inflicted. If it is heartbreaking to lose someone in these circumstances, it is even harder for rest of the family to come to terms with that loss. But Sanjay has to survive, cope and make sure that he becomes a fitting father for Chandni, the symbol of their love and ofcourse Reshma, the most innocent victim in all this. Also I want to show Aishwarya's character arc on how her selfishness drove her to become the devil that she is today. Aishwarya wanted money and thought Damini's would be her ladder to that, but she was not a murderer back then.
“ I agree, I have come to you out of desperation because I have nowhere else to go, but I also want to redeem myself. No more dealings with thugs, and there won't be any other man in my life. I have learnt my lesson. I don't know anything about being a mother, but I will give it my best shot, if you let me. I can't promise I will do a fantastic job but I will never neglect my responsibility. My mother was a very ambitious woman and she took care of me, groomed me but she died before she could see me blossom into a true woman. I know how important it is to have a mother in your life, all I can say is I will never let Chandni down. You will see a new Aishwarya that your daughter will like and feel secure around. And remember also this Sanjay. All my father's wealth will go wasted if we don't declare Chandni as our daughter officially. I don't want a penny of it, I promise, but you will be depriving her of that wealth if you let your hatred towards me di
1997 With the arrival of Mobile phone technology in India, Sanjay and Raghav were able to keep in touch with each other no matter where they were, but used it only in emergencies, as the cost of making calls was very high. The political scenario also changed in Allahabad and the old Mayor became the local Member of Parliament. Aishwarya's wings spread slowly as she came into the favour of all the top political parties. With the secret money drained from SV Enterprises, she began to give donations to political parties and win their favours in return. Rana's gang too grew in stature with more small and local thugs joining him, as they couldn't oppose him on their own. The fluctuating financial conditions meant that there was hardly much money for the firm to fall back on and it became more common for Sanjay to withdraw mo
Dev and Chandu2002"You don't know how much more empty a broken heart feels, when no one is there to help pick up the pieces." Leo Christopher~~~~~~~By the time Sanjay reached Allahabad, it was all over. As Rana and his gang men celebrated a successful completion of "the job", boozing and making ruckus, it wasn't difficult for Shankar to slip away quickly to call Sanjay and explain exactly what happened. As tears streamed down his cheeks, Rashid stopped the car in a quiet road and just watched Sanjay cry inconsolably. Nargis felt as if a part of her heart had been ripped off. She became so close to Vasudha in the past few years. Rashid respected and loved Raghav and Vasudha a lot and this was
But no matter how much he tried, he couldn't help but think of his best friends back in Allahabad. His heart missed his close friend Ahmed but more than him...Chandni. She was that constant presence in his life who always loved him and made him feel special, no matter what he did. He realised that she somewhat hero-worshipped him. How she would enjoy watching him play Soccer right now or become the topper in his class, he would always muse. And he would have loved to watch her grow. She was a brilliant student too, but always lacked confidence. He hoped someone was there to give her all that moral boost she very much needed. He wondered whether she knew he was alive, or thought him dead like everyone else, and that very thought would hurt him even deeper... to become non-existent to someone whom he loved and cared so much as a friend and companion. And Miku... his heart longed for his kid brother. Not jus
"I am still waiting, you know!" He whispered slowly to her.She looked back at him, startled to find that he was still looking at her."You are waiting for me to speak... What should I say? I am not very good at this, you know ... All my friends know. I don't talk much because I have nothing to say. I am just a very boring person." She gave a small smile and cast her eyes down again."Let me be the judge of what kind of person you are. Why don't we introduce ourselves first? What's your name?" He asked her casually. She slowly looked up at him, and this time with more confidence but her gaze turned to something behind his shoulder. Aryan quickly turned to catch Meera signalling and shaking her head in warning.T
"Excuse me!! Spend some time with you?? Why? Who are you to me? Just because I sat next to you and tried to make some polite conversation with you, you got all sorts of ideas in your head about me. And you still wonder why I don't trust guys like you!! Huh!!" She turned body fully sideways to look straight into his eyes, and sneered loudly for the first time, drawing laughs from her friends. It was Aryan's turn to feel disappointed and angry. Why do these small town girls behave as if talking to a guy was such a bad thing? And why do they pretend as if they were not affected by the attraction and attention from guys? Just an hour ago, she was quivering in his arms, lost in the moment just like him! And now.... In a heartbeat he leaned so close to her that she drew a large gasp!! "So you are not curious to know ab
Aryan found himself lying in a hospital bed, when he woke up again. His head was bandaged tightly and there were small bandages across his right hand and both elbows. But a more pleasant sight met him as he turned his head slowly. His "Munni" was sitting on a chair next to the bed, busily squeezing an orange onto a juicer. His heart filled with inexplicable joy just as he looked at her, and he completely forgot why and how he got there in the first place. "Hello! I thought our first date was going to be somewhere more pleasant and involved coffee... not OJ" He smiled at her. She looked at him furiously and opened her mouth to reply back but then controlled herself for some reason, and continued to squeeze the juice, with much more gusto. "Are you not even going to ta
"Why? Why can't he be my father? How do you know he is Shantanu Dubey by the way?" Chandni asked him with narrowed eyes. "I know because....Forget about how I know. How are you related to him? If he is not your father, then who is he? How are you associated with SV Enterprises?" Aryan asked anxiously. "You know something? For someone who is not a local person, you seem to know an awful lot about my... I mean this company SV Enterprises!! I should be the one asking you as to who you are!!" For the first time, Chandni was looking at him with suspicious eyes. "I think you guys have thoroughly researched who I am already. All my things from the backpack, my wallet look like they have been taken apart." It was Aryan's turn to accuse her. "Hello Mr. Kapoor or whoever you a
