In the middle of the night, some madness came over me and I grabbed my phone and kept calling Aryan's number, not once but several times. The phone kept ringing but there was no response. I collapsed on my bed and cried with abandon, cursing my fate and hating myself for still caring for the man who had forgotten all about me. I woke up quite late and at first I hoped, quite childishly, that all that happened last night was a bad dream and I wouldn't be bundled off to marry a stranger, because I was a "burden" to my parents.
But reality crashed soon enough and I began to cry again. I checked my mobile desperately for any missed calls from Aryan, but of course there were none.
I kept myself almost locked up in my room the whole day and only spoke to Nargis Chachi who forced me to eat.
That night Vikram called me,
I was in my room, resting on my favorite armchair, waiting for my henna to dry. I was told that Aggarwals were bringing their close family members along with them in the baraat. It was almost Seven pm and time for theBaraat ( groom's family and friends)to arrive. I was sitting in my room, feeling....absolutely nothing. Daddy invited Vikram inside to meet me and we exchanged a few words. He congratulated me on my wedding and went back to the living room, waiting for theBaraatto arrive just like everyone else. I was told by Nargis Chachi that almost 15
^==============^ Just a brief catchup on what happened so far as we have been going through Flashback chapters for some time. Aryan is cleverly tricked to talk to Chandni by his brother Miku. Aryan is glad to know she still very much cares for him even after their previous fight and informs her as to what happened that day... how Shankar has agreed to become a police informer, that Rana and his gang were involved in the murder of his parents Sixteen years ago, and Aishwarya ordered them to do the kill. Shankar also reveals something else, that he saved Aryan and Miku on the request of someone, but before Aryan can share this to Chandni, she cuts the call, saying she needs some time to absorb the fact that her parents are killers. She gets another minor attack that night. After she wakes up, she regrets how she had treated Aryan, and never trusted him all these years. Vikram advises Chandni t
"I am not seeking forgiveness from you because I haven't forgiven myself in the first place, and I know I don't deserve it. But..." He began resignedly but Aryan cut him off. "I haven't come here to forgive you, but to thank you for saving my life as well as Miku's. Who am I to forgive you? Those who need to aren't here anymore, and I am sure they did it a long time ago." He slowly walked towards Sanjay and tried to touch his feet but Sanjay held his shoulders and looked at him so happily, eye to eye, man to man. But he felt the same tenderness and love towards him as he did when he held him as a baby for the first time. Sanjay just ruffled Aryan's hair affectionately as he could see that Aryan too was trying to control his emotions. To break the awkward pause, he looked around and offered a drink to Aryan. "Hmm
Police HeadQuarters, Office of the DIG of Police ======= Avinash along with Major Satpal Singh were watching DIG Digvijay Singh nervously as he went through the case facts with S P Siddharth and Public Prosecutor Yusuf Khan. After a nervous 10-minute wait, they were relieved to see their childhood friend Daggu as they fondly called him once, turn to them and give a curt nod, affirming that everything was in order. The DIG was also happy to meet two of his childhood friends and he understood their nervousness considering this is a civilian case and their stand in the witness box should be treated with caution and diligence. And that is why when the PP Yusuf Khan and SP approached him, he took a personal interest even though it wasn't a big case, as he realized its implications in culling the influence of Aishwarya Malhothra and h
After the long and tiring journey, Chandni, Atharv and Vikram hit the bed straight after reaching their new home in the night. But once she woke up in the early hours, Chandni explored the whole house. There were no staff at the house except a part time caretaker and she loved it more for that. Apparently, the caretaker would come later with all the provisions and necessities required for their stay. Chandni's first impulse was to call Aryan the moment she landed in Allahabad, but she was clueless on how to do so. He had no number to call! After some time, she suddenly remembered that she had Miku's number. Thinking that it would look highly inappropriate to call anyone at this hour, she decided to wait till later in the day or afternoon
Ratnesh looked at Kanhaiya defiantly before walking towards his father Rana."Ratnesh!! Why are you here? I have asked you to lie low in your friend's house and not come to this place. I want at least one of our members to be our eyes and ears out there! Why don't you take anything I ever say seriously!" Rana chastised his son."Baba please stop your lectures! I have been doing exactly what you wanted me to be ... eyes and ears out there and look who I found!!" He pulled his phone out and showed Rana a picture he took at the airport just an hour ago."Is that Chandni?? What is she doing there? And why were you at the airport? Did you know she was coming?" Rana asked perplexedly."No, I didn't know she was
Munnah came forward. "Of course Rana Bhai I can imitate Aryan's voice, his voice is still ringing in my ears from the day he tricked me at the airport. Miku's voice... If I hear it once, I can pick it up easily. No problem! " Munnah assured. "Why all this fuss of mimicking Aryan and Miku? Why can't we get Munnah to mimic Chandni's voice instead? All we need is to get Munnah talk to Aryan in Chandni's voice as if she was kidnapped!! Isn't that enough?" Ratnesh demanded. "Ratnesh Bhai, I am not good at mimicking female voices!!" Munnah pleaded and everyone laughed after a long time. "And that bastard Aryan... he is too clever!! What if I do manage to mimic Chandni but Aryan doesn't believe us?? We can't take any choices with that guy I tell you!! But more than that, I
After a few rings, a sleepy voice answered him. "I know you love your daughter very much Sanjay Ji, but is it really necessary to call at this hour?" Vikram asked, chuckling. "Vikram! I am offering no apologies for waking you up, but can you check if Chandni and Atharv are safe?" Sanjay asked anxiously. "What happened? Why are you asking me this?" Vikram's tone became immediately alert and Sanjay could hear his footsteps soon. "I will explain everything... Please first tell me they are safe!!" Sanjay implored once again. Vikram was puzzled and worried but didn't ask any more questions as he tiptoed his way to Atharv's bedroom as he knew Chandni slept there overnight.
