VOW OF PROTECTION

Charles's POV ❤️

My bodyguards surrounded her like a fly attracted to a poop. What were they planning on doing to her without my consent? I understand that they were just looking out for me but I swear if anyone of them touches her, hell will break loose. Two of them grabbed her arms and started pulling her. What were they doing? She was in pains, couldn't they see? They were going to pay for this.

"Let me go! Let me go!" Her voice echoed in my ears as she pleaded. She looked at her boyfriend or whatever he was to her, and he stood there like a moron. He didn't even flinch to help her. I guess I had made my dominance known to him, there was nothing he could do to stop me, he had no power to do so. Now, she would know that her silly pest of a guy was worthless and couldn't even protect her. She was mine now.

I could see the fear in her eyes and hatred. I couldn't believe I did that, after all that talk about making her happy. This was all my fault. She stared at me wanting me to say something, not like I liked seeing her like this. She was scared, scared that I was going to do something to her, scared that these dingbat were going to hurt her. I swear, I was going to kill them.

"Let's go." I couldn't stay a second longer there seeing her look at me like that. What was I thinking? I hurt her. I hurriedly made my way to the door, avoiding eye contact with anyone, especially hers.

I watched from the door as how chaos unfolded and I couldn't help but feel guilty about what I caused. Why did I say that? What was I thinking? I called her a pauper? Was I even thinking at all?

She felt really sad and I hated myself for being the cause of her unhappiness. I saw a woman yelling at her. Why was she frustrating her? Times like this, I wish I had superpowers and what I wanted right now was to be able to read her mind, know what she was thinking about. Tch! I sounded like a pervert, it was so creepy. No girl would want to have to hear a guy's voice in her head, especially the one she hated most at the moment.

A fight was about to break out as that woman, was prepared to exchange blows with her. I couldn't hear what they were saying though. I was about to rush out of my hiding place and deal with that lady when I saw her boyfriend or husband, no he has to be her boyfriend, I saw him pulling her away from the angry crowd and suddenly, I had this bad feeling about it. I was relieved instantly that he managed to get her out of that mess, the mess I created for her. She had already lost all the trust and respect those people had for her and she was going to be made a laughingstock. I was bound to undo what I had already done, no matter what, I was going to protect her.

The pest pulled her away from the angry crowd, but she seemed to be struggling. She was definitely stubborn, but I was relieved he got her out of there before they hurt her and I won't be able to hold back from hurting them more than they did to her. For all I knew, I didn't like him one bit. This wasn't even about the fact that he was with my woman, there was just something about him and I am really good at reading someone.

I took the elevator and went back to my office feeling puzzled and perplexed about the whole situation that happened. I was certain now that she hates me. I wanted to go after her and apologize but I couldn't. I couldn't bring myself to look at her face. I hurt her.

I called Mr Tusch on the land line and he appeared before me almost immediately like as if he was expecting me to call him. I was worried about her, worried about what that so called boyfriend of her's would do to her.

"Find her whereabouts and if she needs anything, help her with it. Keep her safe and don't let her find out who you are and that you work for me." He bows his head and leaves. I just hope she is okay.

A few minutes later, the landline rang. It was from my receptionist. She was telling me something about the protesters but I couldn't hear her clearly. Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door. The person didn't wait for my response and just came in.

"Sir! Sir!" The voices of the protesters echoed in the room. Why were they here? All of them? Was this what my receptionist was saying? What were my guards doing? How did they get here?

I was really tired and I had only her on my mind. They started pleading and how sorry they felt for refusing the offer. Blamed her for everything. I couldn't take it anymore, I didn't want to hear them slandering her name again.

I brought out my cheque book and signed for 7 million dollars, even more than I wanted to give. That should be enough, they could finally leave. Maybe this would let them to forget about everything that happened.

Not long after, the press had already surrounded the building. I have always hated the press since forever, not always minding their business.

I could see the protesters from my window giving information to them plus, it was all over the radio and Television. Were they snitching? After everything I did to them. After giving them that insanely amount of money, they decide to rant about her. People can be disgusting sometimes. But this wasn't any of her fault.

I caused this. My mind went back to her and how she would react to this. I had to put an end to this. I pranced out of my office and quickly took the elevator to the receptionist.

I had to stop them, I had to protect her.

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER Bianca's POV ❤️I told Kumiko everything that happened; from the point I arrived at Green Co., to the point where I slapped Charles, and also what happened at Jason's car. I narrated everything to her, every single detail. She was so focused on what I was telling her, and kept on gasping and sighing when necessary. She cursed in Japanese when I was done, and I laughed at how serious and concerned she was, which was even more than I was."That dick-head! He should be jailed. Oh why wasn't I there?" She was totally serious. I'm glad she wasn't there actually, because it could have turned out worse. She could have done more than what I did. I am talking fire, burning down the company, doing something terrible not just to Charles alone, both the protesters and Jason. She was fierce, and that was one thing I loved about her. She was brave and courageous, she didn't fear anyone or anything and that was something I lacked. I sometimes got jealous of how confident she

GUILT TRIPBianca's POV ❤️My head was banging by the time I woke up in the morning. It felt like I was suffering from an hangover, meanwhile, I didn't drink. Do people get hangover from ice cream? No! I highly doubt that. This wasn't the first time I was having ice cream, so why was my head banging like crazy? I tilted my head and saw Kumiko sleeping peacefully. She looked so cute and less dangerous like this. I imagined her being so peaceful, and I couldn't help but laugh at my thoughts. It wasn't possible. Kumiko wasn't born for peace.I finally remembered what happened last night and how we screamed our guts out from the horror movie we watched. So that's what is causing this headache. Now I've to take pain killers, and I was not a fan of medicines, not to talk of hospitals, so I tried my best to stay as healthy as possible.I went to the kitchen to make breakfast for the both of us. Nothing fancy or extreme, this headache wouldn't even let me. I had to eat, take some pain killer

THE PLAN Charles's POV ❤️Mr Tusch came to me and told me about her. He explained to me what happened. About how that bastard, that son-of-a-bitch left her stranded on the middle of the road. How could he treat a woman like that? His woman. Didn't he think about the worse case scenario? What if a drunk comes and rapes... I didn't want to think about any negative thing. Thank God she was safe now. I knew something was wrong. Damn that son of a bitch, for hurting my woman. I did a good thing by sending Mr Tusch to look after her.It was so surprising that I didn't know her name yet though. I would find out later. Now that her relationship with her boyfriend is over, how do I make her mine?"Mr Tusch, find out everything about her for me, immediately." He bowed and left while I was left with various ideas. I just got the best idea ever. I was starting to feel proud of myself.~~~~~~~~~~The car halted in front of a small restaurant, I guess this was where she works. I didn't come with

MEETING THE MONSTERTHIRD POV ❤️She ran as fast as her stubby legs could carry her, after she heard the news from Maggie. What did she mean by the restaurant was shutting down? This was all her fault. She brought this upon herself and more importantly, the people she cared about. She stopped a taxi and told the driver the address. She couldn't believe he would do something like that, something so heartless. Why would her friends have to suffer for her own mistakes? Friends... Her mind went to Kumiko immediately. If anything happens to Kumiko, she was definitely going to make him pay.Tears rolled down her cheeks and she didn't care if the driver was staring at her. She was tired, tired of bottling up her emotions and acting like everything was okay. She was tired of acting strong and brave. She was scared, scared of this man, she was really scared of him and what he would do to her. She felt lonely. If only Jason were here. After that fight she hadn't spoken to him. Forget him, he d

SLAVE TO THE MONSTER Bianca's POV ❤️What...? His pet...? What did he mean by that? A pet is an animal and I'm not. A pet is an animal you're in love with and you want to take care of, but I'm sure he feels none of that for me. So, what did he mean by that? "No need to be flustered, Bianca..." He gave me his signature smirk. He looked really hot. Why was I thinking about this now? There was more issue on ground as to how a human being can become a pet, like how was that even possible? Gosh! Bianca!"...it's exactly how it is. Be my pet, that's the only way I can forgive you." He started moving closer to me. How do I be someone's pet? And not just anybody, a psycho-billionaire. The words got stuck in my throat. I had loads of questions to ask."I can't be your pet, I'm human." I finally spoke. None of this made sense to me. He laughed. Did I say something wrong? "Yes, you're human,..." That was exactly what I said, so why did he find it funny? "...mistress? No! I can't call you

DO I STILL LOVE HIM?Bianca's POV ❤️I met a familiar face as soon as I got to the reception. He rushed to my side and bowed, like a servant to his master. Was this the driver he said was going to accompany me? He looked oddly familiar."Hi." I tried my best not to let my emotions show. "Good afternoon, ma'am. My name is Tusch Finney. I'm at your service." That was cute but does he realize I am also a servant like him? Even worse, I was a measly pet. I seriously don't know why he treated me like I was important. I finally remembered where I knew him from. He was the driver that took me to Kumiko's house. So he works for him? Why did he offer me a ride? Well...I paid for it though. This felt like a set up. Did his boss tell him to spy on me or it just happened by chance? If he works for him, why would he pick me up?, and I also paid for the ride. Something felt off about this whole situation that I was in."I know you. What are you doing here, sir?""I work for Mr Charles. He told me

THE HEARTBREAK Bianca's POV ❤️I told Mr Tusch to wait in the car while I go get my things. Jason wasn't aware of my arrival, so I hoped he wasn't going to be shocked to see me. I missed him... I missed those eyes; very gentle and kind, they always looked at me with so much love. I missed his lips, they tasted like vanilla and they melted my insides. I wonder what he thought of me now, maybe someone not worth his time and attention anymore, 'cause that's exactly how it looked like. I mean, he didn't even call me. I know I should have called too, but I was dealing with Charles. What was I saying? That definitely wasn't an excuse, no monster or situation was too much to check up on the person I claimed I was in love with.I knocked on the door several times but no one answered. I was about to call him, when I noticed that the door was actually unlocked. It wasn't going to be a crime if I went inside right? After all, I live here, well used to. THE MONSTER'S CAVE Bianca's POV ❤️I woke up to such a beautiful sight. It was already dark out by the time we arrived at his house. I think we spent about 5 hours on the road or more, I stopped checking the time since I had slept off.I was awed by the sight. The entire house was made out of glass, you know, that one stood out and looked beautiful under the moonlight. It felt so surreal and I couldn't wait to check out the inside.Mr Tusch offered to help me carry my luggage inside and I was pleased. I dashed into the house and like I expected, I was amazed. The inside looked even better than the outside. The sitting room was amazing. It had two big black sofas and damn were they soft. They were both adorned with colorful throw pillows of different designs and I already had a favourite, the one with the cute puppy design on it. Who knew he had a taste for something like this? I thought he didn't like animals? The living room was quite big, it was full of bright, white lights that

Hi, readers ❤️ We have finally come to end of this chapter. Words can't reveal how much this means to me 💞 It took me two years or more to complete this book (I lost count), but I'm finally done. Yayyyyy 🥳💅 Thanks to everyone who was still sticking around with me even after my irregular uploads and updates. Thank you so much for trusting me and trusting the process cause it got to a point where I wasn't even sure of what I was doing. This is my first novel ever but in my opinion, it turned out far better than I had imagined (I tried for my first attempt). I made lots of errors, deviated from the story line a little bit, and there were days where I felt like giving up, but I'm extremely glad I didn't and that I pushed through. "You wouldn't know unless you try!" This has been my go to quote, my inspiration whenever I felt like giving up. Although it took me two years to complete it, there's no need for me to be hard on myself. So, this is my special thanks to everyone for stickin

HAPPILY EVER AFTER EPILOGUEBianca's POV ❤️"Charlesssss, hurry!!!" I screamed, a hint of impatience in my voice. "My gosh, what’s taking you so long?""Coming, babe!" Charles called back, but there was still no sign of him.Charles and I had been living on the island—my island—for a week now. He seemed to be starting to forget the weight of what happened to his brother, or maybe he was just trying to forget. One thing I knew for sure was how much happier he seemed now. He wasn’t completely over the past, but he was making progress, letting go of the guilt he had carried for so long.Since I owned the island now, I invited Zac and Kumiko to join us. It would be more fun with all of us together, and they were already on their way.I heard the door open behind me, followed by a hand wrapping around my waist. Charles kissed my neck, and I shivered. Now wasn’t the time for this. I couldn’t get distracted right now."Hey, little one. Sorry I took so long.""It's fine." I replied, but then

THE END OF A LOVE STORY Charles's POV ❤️ Bianca’s tears flowed freely, soaking into my shoulder as I held her close. Her trembling shoulders pressed against me, and I couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride and relief. I stroked her hair gently as she cried tears of joy into my shoulder. Each soft sob echoed the overwhelming happiness she felt. Seeing her this happy—it made everything worth it. She was happy, and that was all that mattered to me. Her grip on the documents tightened as though she feared they might disappear if she let go. “I love you so much, Bianca,” I whispered, my voice thick with emotion. “I love you more than I can ever say. Thank you for staying with me.” She pulled back slightly, just enough to look into my eyes, her own brimming with gratitude. “Charles, thank you for everything. Thank you for believing in me, for fighting for me, for... this.” Her gaze flicked down to the papers in her hands. "Thank you for everything, Charles. Thank you," she said betwee

THE BEGINNING OF THE END VIJason's POV ❤️The bar wasn’t crowded, but it wasn’t quiet either. A low hum of conversations mixed with clinking glasses created a steady rhythm. I sat in a corner booth, my fingers nervously tapping against the wooden table. The glow of the overhead light made the transparent liquid in my glass shimmer, but I hadn’t touched it. It had been three weeks since I met Mabel. Three weeks since she found me broken, bleeding, and lost. And now, even after I had been discharged from the hospital, she was still here. I couldn’t shake the thought—why does she care so much?I didn’t deserve her kindness. I hadn’t even fully healed emotionally. I still haven't fully gotten over Bianca yet, even though I knew she had found her happiness elsewhere. Meeting Mabel had been like finding a lifeline I didn’t know I needed. But was it fair to her? “Hey, Jason,” a familiar voice called out, soft yet vibrant. I glanced up and spotted Mabel near the entrance of the bar we h

WELCOME TO GREEN ISLAND II Bianca's POV ❤️ We had finally arrived at the island, and the sight before me stole my breath all over again. The expanse of the crystal-clear ocean shimmered under the golden sun, its waves crashing gently against the shore in a soothing rhythm. The air carried a salty tang, mingled with the earthy scent of the surrounding forest, which seemed greener and more vibrant than I remembered. As Charles and I stepped off the jet, my arm wrapped snugly around his, I couldn’t help but drink it all in. Everything felt surreal, like stepping into a painting that was somehow more alive than reality. It was astounding. Standing by the dock, Mr. Matthews was already waiting for us. It was almost as if he had some sixth sense for our arrival—or maybe he had just been standing there for hours, keeping himself entertained with the ocean waves, but the warm smile on his face showed no sign of impatience. In the distance stood the house, the only structure on the is

THE START OF A NEW BEGINNING Charles's POV ❤️It was finally the day to leave for the island. Mr. Tusch was driving, and Bianca and I sat in the backseat. She hummed a cheerful tune, her legs swinging back and forth like an overexcited kid. I couldn’t help but marvel at how effortlessly childish she could be. The drive was smooth, and soon, we arrived at my private airport. My jet stood waiting, sleek and ready for takeoff. Mr. Tusch brought the car to a halt. The moment the engine cut off, Bianca flung the door open and bolted toward the jet, her excitement spilling over. Meanwhile, my bodyguards approached. Two opened the door for me while the others began unloading the luggage from the trunk. “Welcome, Master Charles,” they chorused, their voices perfectly synchronized. Bianca paused mid-step when she realized I wasn’t following her. She turned back, hands on her hips, her expression somewhere between amused and impatient. “See you soon, Master Charles,” Mr. Tusch said w

With consistent physiotherapy and medication, she could walk again—though she still needed the wheelchair on some days.I glanced at the clock for the hundredth time in ten minutes, tapping my foot impatiently. Bianca was taking forever."Bianca!" I yelled, my voice carrying a mix of frustration and amusement."Coming, babe! IN YOUR ARMS, AGAIN!BIANCA'S POV ❤️I reached for an apple slice, but paused mid-motion when I noticed Charles. He hadn’t touched his burger. Instead, he was staring at his hands, his fingers clasped tightly together as if grounding himself. There was something different about him—something hesitant, almost fragile, and entirely unlike the Charles I was used to. The quiet between us stretched, the tension growing as he shifted slightly in his seat."Bianca," he said at last, breaking the silence, his voice soft and trembling.I glanced up from my apple, his tone catching my attention and catching me off guard. His burger sat untouched on the table, the scent of melted cheese and grilled beef wafting faintly in the air. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He wasn’t looking at me but instead at his hands, which were clasped tightly together that his knuckles were beginning to turn white."No matter what happens," he said slowly, his voice almost a whisper, "and no matte

THE REUNION Bianca's POV ❤️The soft hum of a machine accompanied the warmth of sunlight that streamed through the thin hospital curtains, pooling on the bed, warming my face and forcing me awake. The hospital room smelled faintly of antiseptic, but the warmth of strong arms around my waist made it feel less lonely. The room was quiet, save for the faint hum of the heater and the steady rhythm of someone breathing beside me.Blinking against the light, I turned my head slowly, my heart softening at the sight of Charles sleeping next to me, his face mere inches from mine. In sleep, he looked so peaceful. His features, usually sharp with worry and determination, were relaxed while he was asleep. His furrowed brow relaxed, the usual tension in his jaw gone as it was no longer clenched as it usually was, and the faint lines on his forehead had smoothed out. It was as though the weight of the world on his shoulders had finally lifted for the first time in ages, leaving him at ease. His
