I have never been happy, and scared at the same time, but today, my first day as a 21 year old, I feel it. 

Happy because I finally got the job, scared because the one night stand I had kept haunting me.

As I got home, the girls were already home and they were sitting in the living room.with long faces, I can pull a long face too, let's see who's long face lasts the longest (lol).

"Hey" I hailed lazily as I walked to the kitchen to get water, I was tired and I needed rest.

"How'd your day go?" Mandy asked from the living room, I didn't answer until I got to the living room because I didn't want to yell,

"Twas good, you?" 

"Not bad" she replied

"See ehn, thunder go fire all of una for nyash" (look, thunder will strike all of you in your asses) Nifise yelled and non of us could keep our long faces anymore, we started laughing.

"I got a job at Shanny Fashion House" Nifise yelled, of course she'd get  job there, she took after her mom with the fashion thing.

"I got a job at Bon Appetite" Sally said.

"But I thought, Mandy wanted to get a Job there" I asked

"Nah, I bounced, the waiters there, look like toothpicks, no offence" she said and we laughed.

"I don't know if I got the job at Barbra's place though, I was told to come back tomorrow" sally added

"You'll get the job baby, you're an awesome hairdresser, plus once they see your work, they'll pay you more than they pay others" Mandy said patting Sally's shoulders.

"So miss I- got- fucked- for - good luck- on- my- job- haunt got a job?" Nifise asked mockingly

"Yes miss- no- one- wants- to- fuck- me I got a job" I mocked back and we laughed again

"I got a job at KK Industry" I announced and the girls were quiet, looking at me like I'd grown two heads.

"Damn girl, I wish I got fucked before the haunt" Sally whined and we laughed at her.

"I heard the CEO is hot" Mandy said

"I've seen pictures" Sally added

"I've heard and seen pictures" Nifise said

"I saw his hotness with my own two eyes, the pictures don't even cut it" I started.

"So what are you working as?" Sally asked

"His God damned secretary" I said and they all squealed in excitement.

"So now, the real jist, who was the guy that gave you good luck last night" Mandy asked.

Oh my God, I thought they had forgotten about this, the thoughts of last night, had attacked me enough tody and now, they expect me to tell them in detail what it was like.

"I told you, I vaguely remember it" I said firmly "but what I can remember I'll tell you" I said and it was like, their antenna found signal, theirs eyes guled to my face as I told them what I remembered.

Thankfully, mandy had prepared dinner since she told us she was the first to get home and I couldn't be happier.

I woke up to my alarm ringing loudly as usual, I checked the time, and it was 5:30am, the time I woke up for school.

I had a shower and went down to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

I swear, this was what was going on with me last night, I couldn't sleep well, I kept recalling the voice of mystery guy, they way his hands roamed around my chest, the deep thrust he gave, the way I felt, part of me wanted more, but I couldn't find more because, I didn't even know who he was, and damn myself for having too much to drink when I know very well I don't see clearly when I'm drunk.

"Good morning, tinker bell" Nifise greeted  as she came down from the stairs, by the looks of it, she had showered too.

"Morning" 

"What are you thinking about?" She asked, concern laced her words

"The one night stand with that guy, I couldn't sleep last night" I told her as I whisked the pancake batter

"Oh wow, that's serious" she said

"It's all cool though, maybe it's haunting me because I didn't see the face of the guy" I concluded, wanting to end the conversation because I sounded stupid and clingy.

Clingy, I hated that word, reminded me me of how naive I was.

"I can't do this anymore, you're too CLINGY"

Stupid girl, that was what I was, but not anymore.

I, with the help of Nifise constantly talking, was able to make the pancakes in time, it came out deliciously well by the way.

Mandy and sally came down right after I had finished cooking and we ate breakfast.

I got back to my room and picked out a very pencil skirt, a white shirt and black pumps to wear to work today.

Just the thought of going to work excited me.

"If y'all don't want to got to work, I want to go o, y'all won't make me late on my first day" Nifise yelled from the living room, that's how she is when it's her turn to drive us, always so impatient.

I hurried downstairs, grabbing an apple as I walked out the door to the car, I couldn't miss shot gun.

"Damn you Nov" Sally said this time and I laughed.

"Y'all should just give this place up for me" I said satisfied with her reaction, which earned me the finger.

"By the way, you look smashing hot, I just hope sey no be your Oga you wan go smash" (I just hope it's not your boss that you want to smash) Nifise mocked as she got into the car, she was dressed in a simple Ankara gown and black stilettos while sally wore a skinny jeans, a back wrap top and black sandals.

"Where is Aunty Mandy now?" Nifise whined

"Y'all should go, I told you already, I'm not sure I got the job so what's the point of going early?, just go, I'll text y'all" she said, I ultimately feel bad for her, I hope she gets the job though.

"Hey Nov, you ready for your first day?" Esther asked as I entered the massive  building, "you're early,you seem excited" she she stated the obvious, handing me a tab.

"He comes to work 7:30, and black coffee should be at his table when he comes" she informed me and I nodded.

"Have a good day, Nov"

"And you too Esther" I said and went in the direction of the kitchen that esther showed me yesterday during the tour.

I made his coffee and went to my 'office'.

I switched on the tab and I found his schedule for today, he'll be pretty busy today.

Just then, I heard mighty steps, of someone approaching, I took a deep breath and gave my best smile to the one and only Kalmon Knight.

"Good morning Sir" I greeted cheerily, give my not- too- best smile

"Here's your coffee" I said handing it ho him as he walked past me. He didn't even answer my greeting. Nawa o (wow)

He didn't collect the coffee either, he just walked into his office, ignoring me totally.

Dear Lord, give me the strength to keep things in, I don't want to do something I'll regret, I prayed silently as I entered into his office.

He was putting on a Navy blue Armani suit, and his hair... I don't even want to go through this again.

I placed the coffee on his table and turned to go not even giving him another glance.

"It's cold, make another one" he spoke catching me off guard.

I turned to look at the coffee on the table, this man is unbelievable.

"You didn't even touch it, how'd you know it's cold?" I asked surprised at my own tone, this seemed to shock him too as his eyes widened.

"I said it's cold" he sad standing up from his throne. Chineke (God) what have I done o?

Me and my big mouth.

"Make another one now" he yelled, I didn't have to be told twice.

What's his problem? Is he always waking up at the wrong side of his bed?
