2. A Better Future?

“Find out everything about her!’’ He said to his Men as he handed the phone over to them. None of his bodyguards said anything, they simply took the phone and began transferring the photo over to their computers back in London. Word was sent to the headquarters that the boss needed information about that specific woman. Giovanni understood that it would only take a matter of around a day or two before he knew everything about her. He was more than willing to make trips just to claim ownership over her. Giovanni was not a man Like any other. He did not believe in winning a woman's heart or taking her on silly dates. He was not the type that preferred sex over a silly tedious relationship. All he wanted was a quick fuck but one that would last a lifetime. He wanted to be able to get her out of his head and the only way he would do that is if he had her.

“Do not miss a single detail. I need to know everything about her, from who she is to who she works around, who she knows and who knows her. I need to know everything about her family and preferably the occupation she has. also, make sure you get her address, I might visit her if things go the way I expect them to.’’

All his life, he had spent his own time wanting luxurious things and getting them. He had bought planes, Airlines, luxury cars, mansions, big companies, and anything else that he desired. Over the course of his life, he has wanted so many things and got them. He was the strongest Lycan too… and he never gave his brother that chance to take over his throne. He was that selfish. He made everything possible in just a few years of him starting business in this world and since then, he never stopped.

He never wanted to get married until he found his Mate but things didn’t go his way at that point and so, he had to get married. But, unfortunately… his wife couldn’t get pregnant with his pups and can’t give him an heir for his Pack!

No one knew who Giovanni Gomez was but women flaunting themselves at him with just his features; they wanted him but he never wanted those desperate characters. Today Giovanni would make an exception, he would go for a woman.

Something he has never done. He would bring down his efforts to capture that one specific girl. He wanted her begging for him, writhing underneath him as he brought her to the pleasure she has never acknowledged. He wanted her body to be used for a few nights, to own her and do with her whatever he pleased.

He decided to burn down his rules and fuck with all of his things just this once for that specific girl. He would go for and he would get her. That was what Giovanni Gomez Accardi always did. When he wanted something he always got it. This woman would be no exception for her, whatever she wanted, he would give her in return.

He could buy her a plane, a mansion, any car of her choice. He would open up a company for her. Giovanni was so certain that he would be able to get that one specific girl because he owned anything this world could give.

But what if that is not what mattered? What if that beautiful stranger crossing the streets was not interested in the luxurious life he lived. What if she was not like any other girls, bowing to his feet for his looks and his money?

What if Giovanni Gomez Accardi never gets that girl unless he forces his hand!

•••

Strenuous things were often when Isabella willow smith made an effort to convince her father to do something in contrast to what he had decided to do. She knew her father’s disposition very well but she still made those hollow and infectious attempts of trying to steer her father in the direction that she wanted him to go.

“You don't have to see him or do anything further. I have everything under control. Nothing should bother you.’’ Isabella said to her father who had been listening on the other end of the call. She had a hard time convincing him that he should not press charges against the teacher who had tried hitting on Isabella.

Joseph Michael Smith is an untenable man. It is very difficult to convince him not to do what he decided to do but his daughter has always been his weakness. Isabella was loved by her father dearly. It contributed to the main reasons why she was sent to Hong Kong to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional writer.

“But he disrespected you. He called you names when you rejected his advances, rest assured that I will personally deal with him, my dear. I do not care whether or not he is a teacher or something higher than that, he disrespected my daughter and for that, he will certainly pay.’’ Isabella's father said.

Isabella glanced over at her best friend who had been sitting on the couch just next to her, he managed to be quiet and not give any suspicions to Isabella's father that she had company.

Joseph was a very overprotective man and he always desired that he would perhaps get the honors of choosing a suitable husband for his beautiful daughter. He would never approve of the friendship between Isabella and the young man simply because he had never even met him. As much as Isabella loved her dad, she understood that he was sometimes too skeptical about everything and that Factor disadvantaged her in many ways.

“Dad, please leave the matter where it is. I will handle it like the big girl I am. You keep forgetting that I am grown up and I am no longer that little girl. Please let me handle this.’’ Isabella begged. She watched as Adam got up from the coach and headed towards the kitchen to perhaps make them something for breakfast. Her best friend was very caring and loving and Isabella did not know what she would ever do without him.

“My dear, I'm afraid that will not happen. I granted your wish and I let you go to Hong Kong without giving you bodyguards but this time I will play things by my own rules. Consider that teacher fired.’’ He said in finality.

“Goodbye Dad. I will call you tomorrow.’’

‘’Bye, My Princess.’’

As the call ended, Isabella looked over at Adams who had already been breaking some eggs into a bowl and heating the pan.

“He did not agree, did he?’’ He asked, obviously knowing that Isabella’s father decided to take matters into his own hands and punish that teacher. Adams on the other hand 100% agreed with that because that very teacher had no right to insult his students because they had refused his sexual advances.

“The problem Isabella, is that you let your good heart get in the way of everything. Let your father punish that teacher so that he may know where he stands and that he should not mess with just anyone. I completely agree with your father this time.” Adam said.

“Now look, you sound like my dad.’’ Isabella jokes playfully as she grabbed an apron at the entrance of the kitchen and tied it around her waist moving towards the kitchen to assist her best friend in preparing something to eat.

‘’What has gotten you in such a bad mood?’’ Isabella asks Adams as she already knows that he was not himself today. If two people in this world knew each other perfectly, then it would be these two best friends but little did she knew that Adam had been hiding something from her:

Isabella knew Adams in and out, there wasn't anything about him that she could not tell apart. She knew when he was angry and when he was mad, when he was just being paranoid and when he was frustrated. Isabella could tell apart every characteristic of Adams and Adam could do the same to Isabella. They were like the two parallel sides of the coin, always intact but never leaving each other. These two had so many differences, but they still managed to merge and create the perfect friendship.

“It’s my father,’’ Adams said. “He's offering me a chance to become the CEO of a little company that he is opening up in the suburbs of New York,” he explains.

“And what is so bad about that?’’ Isabella asks. Even though she quite knows the answer to this, she finds it important to let Adam explain himself further.

“You know me very well. Venturing into the world of businesses and companies is not a hobby of mine. My dad and I don't get along simply because he wants me to go along the lines that he forced my brother into but that will never happen because I have a life to live on my own and I cannot always spend my time trying to impress him and do what he commands.”

Isabella always related to Adam’s situation in every way. In her way, Isabella also had trouble especially when it came to following her father's commands. As much as Joseph loved his daughter, he often found himself becoming very possessive and demanding of everything that his daughter did.

He wanted to follow up on her every move and know where she was and with whom she was. Isabella wanted to live on her own without the lectures or judgment of her father but that proved impossible. The Friendship between the two of them was solely based on the fact that they could relate very well with each other. Their lives were a mere representation of how each one of them felt oppressed by the people who they loved the most. Adam loved his father very dearly, but the way that his father wanted Adam to Walk in were not the dreams that he had for himself.

Isabella had felt very lucky because her father allowed her to go study writing in another continent where he did not send tons of guards to follow her around. She understood that her father had plans of marrying her off to someone who he deemed worthy. She did not want to be treated like a certain object that her father owned. She wanted to live her life free of his instructions and demands.

“I still think that you should just tell him you're not interested in his businesses. He's your father and you are his blood. He will understand and he will want the best for you. Look where that has gotten me, I became honest with my father and told him that I wanted to become a writer and here I am in Hong Kong studying the art of writing.’’ Isabella said proudly.

“I understand that, but my father is not one to sit down and listen to me as yours does.’’ His statement made sense, but all of this was based on all the fear that he had.

“Based on the fact that you have never really met my family, then you will never know what kind of man my father is,’’ Adam said to Isabella. He meant a lot because he did not just speak something like that out of habit or illusion. Adam meant everything he said and he respected Isabella and her opinions towards everything.

“Well one day, if life does not work out the way we expect, then we should make a trip to the Bahamas or something, we go have fun and have a taste of the life we have never really allowed ourselves to live.’’ He said and she smiled as the two started cooking, they saw their future in each other's eyes.

But was it fair, To want a life one will never have?
