57 - Some interest

I lay in my room when the phone buzzed, receiving some messages from Ryan. He's concerned about my health and our son's, and that's good, but after this last, humiliating, month, I've decided I won't beg for his love anymore. He's showing interest and attention to our child, and that's enough for me now.

I can't help but smile at the messages, though. I don't need him in my life, just in our children's. I have my career and all the financial support I need. I always have. My only regret was spending my last five years in this relationship that led to nothing.

Well... Not exactly nothing, right? We're going to have a child, and that would keep us connected forever.

I got up to take a shower and grab something to eat. I'm famished, and James has been like a guard for me for the past two weeks; it's been nice having him here because he's been taking care of me.
