Abena asked her friend as she entered the class to speak with her during recess. Akosua, how are things going with Tenison?
"Hmm, things have only gotten worse, oh, he can't afford Maakua's fees anymore, so she went to live with her grandmother for a while while he figured himself out. Just one meal a day, Kwame can't afford it, o.” She complained to her friend in a trembling voice.
She was affected by the whole thing--it hurt her to see the man she was head over heels in love with suffering this way.
What hurt the most was that he would not allow her help. But she forced her way to him at times.
"I hope things turn around for his good," she added as they talked for a while, then she left the class.
"Kwame, how far is the plan going?" his friend Kwabena asked him as they watched a football game. "Everything went well, Serwaa had left, so it left with Akosua, Amma and Nella," he explained.
"Great, let's see who wins," he explained as they resumed play.
"Let me call Kwame for some coins because I'm broke." replied Nella.
"Hello Nela," Kwame replied, beckoning Kwabena to lower the TV.
“Hey baby, how are you?” She asked. “I'm bad, Nel, you can walk past the pharmacy and buy me medicine. I do not have enough money". He said low.
"Up to what level?" she asked angrily. "Where's that, uh, preschool teacher or slay queen?" She asked.
"They're gone, Nella, you're my only family. Don't do this to me," he begged.
"Aw, so touching. You know what since you're broke now er, go to the pharmacy and get the drugs on credit. When you get the money you go pay. Rubbish. Foolish man. Adɛn aaa(what's the problem) I should go get you drugs. Do I look like a pharmacist? My friend gerrout! (get out)" She puffed and hung up.
"Ei, ɛmaaa boeɛ(Eii, women hmm)" Kwabena said as the call was on loudspeaker so he heard everything.
"Where did you pick them from?" Kwabena asked shocked.
"Nella, that was harsh at least you could have gotten him the drugs and then dumped him when you sent them to him." Her friend Kukua said.
"Madam, as at right now I'm low on cash. I even wanted to get some from him not knowing I'm better than him." She explained.
"Besides I don't manufacture drugs nor own a pharmacy, madam Mayɛ shi wai, forgetɛ Kwasia no( I'm stressed right now, forget the fool)" Nella added as she picked her phone to call another man to ask for money.
Akosua got back from the market exhausted. She went shopping for foodstuff for herself and Kwame.
She had moved into his house temporarily to take care of him.
She stocked the fridge with what she had bought. She started to prepare supper for them. She had prepared goat light soup which was almost ready.
She took the cassava and plantain she had prepared of the fire and began to pound the fufu.
It was a little around 5:30 pm when she finished cooking. Today was a half-day at school so by noon they had closed and her student's parents had come for them. By 1:30 pm, she was on her way to the market.
She served Kwame and his friend Kwabena before she served herself joining them at the table. " ɔbaa wo nsa and bɔ paaah (You're a great cook)" Kwabena praised her.
"Thank you." She smiled as they continued with their meal talking about random stuff.
"Akosua, I've been thinking and I want to sell the house," Kwame said after his friend had left and Akosua had finished with the cleaning and washing of bowls.
"Oh, Kwame that's not a good idea. I know you're short on money and all, but selling the house is too extreme." She reasoned.
"I know it is, but what will you have me do? I need the money to pay for the court case. You know they decided to take the case to court." He explained.
"I'm well aware, I can loan you some money. That will be better than selling your house." She tried to convince.
"Imelda, you've been of immense help to me I can't accept money from you. You've been the one taking care of us since the whole bruhaha." He stated.
"But I haven't complained Kwame, I haven't." She tried to reason.
"I know, but I can't accept it and I'm going to sell the house." He said finally.
"Hm, I've heard you. You can move in with me after you've sold the house. My apartment is big enough to accommodate us." She added.
"I will think about it, besides I can go live with mom or Kwabena. But I'd think it through okay." He assured her.
"Okay Kwame, I've heard all that you have said," Akosua replied.
"I want to go rest, I'd be inside." She said as she left for her room.
Two down, two more left. Let's see who the cap fits. He thought to himself.
His Secretary updated him with all that went on in the office in his absence. Things were moving on well and he gave instructions to her for them to be done as well.

"Daddy!" Maakua exclaimed when she saw her father. He had decided to go and see his daughter and mother as soon as Akosua left for school.
"Hey darling, how are you?" He asked her.
"I fine." She answered as they walked into the house. "Ma!" He called as Maakua got down and ran off.
"In the Kitchen, Kwame." She answered as he headed there. "How are you fairing ?" She genuinely asked.
"Ma, I'm fine. What of you ?". He asked. " I'm good and as you can see Maakua is well, she has even made new friends." She added.
"That's good, how about her studies?" He questioned as he picked an apple from the tray biting into it.
"She's doing well, her tutor left a few minutes before you stepped in." She said staring her pot of stew.
"So how far with your plan? Any progress?" The woman asked.
"It's going well Ma, so far two women have left, it's left with two. But there's one who is so loving, caring and kind-hearted, she's been taking care of me since the whole "issue" " He explained.
"So why do I feel like there's a but?" She asked. "That's because she's a preschool teacher, Ma. What will people think? The CEO of a renowned company married a common teacher." He said.
"Does it matter? Do not follow what people or others say. Be wise whatever you do people will talk." She advised.
"I have heard you Ma." He added walking off to his daughter's room.
"Eiii...if it's not the preschool teacher and the good Samaritan." Serwaa teased as she met Akosua at the wedding of one of their SHS classmates. "Serwaa, how may I help you ?" She asked ignoring her previous comment. "You can't help me o, your poor wretched self can't do me any help at all." She insulted. "Serwaa, I've had enough of your insults. No one insults you for sleeping with married men for money o, so allow me to live my life annoyance of a dying cockroach, mtchwwww." Akosua added as she left Serwaa standing aimlessly. Akosua decided to forget about her problems and free her mind. She enjoyed herself at the lady's wedding before going home. Kwame had sold his house and had given her some part of it to keep to take care of the costs involved in solving the case. He had moved to stay with his mom. Sometimes he goes to stay with Kwabena and other times he comes to visit Akosua in her home."Mr, Tension Boateng, was found not guilty of the crime he was admitted of. But still, th
"Kwame, you aren't getting any younger o. You need a wife. Maakua needs a mother. Enough of this game already and choose a wife. Besides all the women you were testing have all left excluding Akosua. She's been there since day one." Kwabena advised as they drank beer."You're right Kwabena, but she's way below my status. Imagine what people will say about me marrying a common preschool teacher." Kwame retorted."Does it matter, Kwame does it matter? My fiancée Verna owns a saloon, she's a hairdresser and I'm happy with that. Both my parent's consent of her and I'm cool. She makes money, so do I. We are cool like that." He said."Don't let society make you lose a virtuous woman. Who could have done what she did for you?" He asked. "Just name one woman who can do this except your mom." He added waiting for his friend's answer."There you have it. Don't wait until it's too late. A word to a Wise is in the north(a word to a Wise is enough)" Kwabena concluded."You're right man, it's time t
"Love is treating you good o," Abena said to her friend as they lay on the bed receiving massages from the Masseuse. They had gone to TouchSense Spa in East Legon Jungle Road_ A&C Mall Inside Total Fitness Health Club, Accra Ghana. They were stressed from the week's work and decided to come and release stress."Oh, Abena ah3 aa? (how so)" Akosua asked as the Masseuse finished her work. They wore their clothes and then proceeded for a manicure and pedicure."Just look at how you're glowing." She added. "It's by His grace and Kwame," Akosua added blushing."In all, We thank God for everything," Abena added smiling at her friend.Kwame had travelled for a business trip and Maakua was with her grandmother. Akosua had visited them during the week and decided she had the day for herself. Her phone rang as the entered KFC the East Legon branch. "Abena, go ahead and order while I take this call," Akosua added as she stepped out to answer the call. Abena picked a table that was slightly isol
Is that not Serwaa or whatever she calls herself? Abena wondered to herself as She spotted Serwaa in most of the crowd dancing with a young man.Well, her business doesn't concern me. Let me focus on myself. She thought."Hey love, sorry I was gone for a while. I needed to talk to a friend." Kamdyn apologized."It's fine Kofi, no worries," Abena added as he took her hands into his."Ruby, we've been hanging out and getting to know each other for a few months now. Don't you think we move to the next level?" He inquired."Next level, as in?" She feigned ignorance. "Come on Abena, you know what I'm talking about. I want to date you. I want you to be my woman." He said."Kofi, within these few months that I've gotten to know you, you're a sweet, loving and caring man and to top it all you're hot. I admit I've grown fond of you and want this too. But what is bothering me is that, What if you change? What if you're no longer that sweet and caring man anymore?" She voiced her fears."Abena,
It had been almost a year that Kwame and Akosua started to date. His feelings for her had reached its peak and he was certain he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this wonderful woman. She had played the role of a mother in the life of his three years old who had grown fond of her. Within the help of Kwabena and his mom, they were able to set up a candlelit dinner in one of his houses located at Trasaco. It was much bigger and had a very beautiful garden which was a perfect spot for dinner.
“I'm extremely happy for you dear, congratulations" Abena added as her friend showed her the ring on her finger."Thanks, Abena, I'm glad to have a wonderful friend like you. God richly bless you." Akosua added."Your welcome dear." She added."How's Kamdyn by the way? Akosua inquired." That busy bee, he's fine.” Abena added.“But I hope he's treating you well?” She inquired.“Of course he does, he's a true gentleman.” She gushed.“Awww, she's in love.” Akosua teased.“So when is he meeting your uncle for the list?” Abena asked.“Next week.” She added. Her parents along with her siblings abandoned her with her grandma without calling or even coming back to check up on her. When her grandma died, this went from bad to worse. She was treated badly by her aunties until her uncle came for her. Luckily for her, he treated her as his own daughter. H
“The road to your village is bad o,” Kwame added as he drove.“The government promised to fix it and it's still the same it has even worsened due to heavy rains,” Akosua explained.Akosua was an Akyem, from Kukurantumi, in the eastern region of Ghana. She was going to introduce Kwame to her family and then there decide on when he could come for the marriage list for her traditional wedding.“This fake promises would continue to happen if Ghanaians don't vote for a competent leader aside NPP and NDC,” Kwame added as Akosua directed her to her uncle's house. He parked in front of a beautiful house with a neat compound.“Ah, that car looks familiar. It's as if I've seen it before.”Akosua added as they got down and headed towards the house.“Agoooo(Whose there),” Akosua called out as they sat on the couches in the porch. Her younger cousin Adwoa came out to see who
“I'm sure Akosua has already told you we're related?” Kamdyn said through the phone.“Of course she has, it's a small world you know,” Abena added.“Yes, it is, ” He added initiating a curve.“Are you driving?” She asked. “Yes, I am, I have surgery around noon today, I have got to get to the hospital early to have rest before the surgery.” He said to her.“Eii, Kofi it's 4:30 am and you're driving?” She asked disapproving.“I'm sorry babe, but duty calls, I guess you're also preparing for work.” He pouted.“I just got up. Your call woke me up.” She stated.“I hope one day you won't be on top of your wife, having sex and then leave her when you get a call with the excuse of duty calls?” She teased.“Oh, never, I must end that match before I go to work, ” He added as they burst out into laughter.“Drive safe yeah, I'm going to prepare for work, I love you,” Abena added.“I love you too babe, I might pass by after work, bye.” He hung up as he joined the traffic.“Has Adwoa come?” Abena a
“ Ms Eleanor Quansah is sentenced to life imprisonment for planning the attempted murder of Mrs Akosua Boateng and also almost defrauding a Mr Kwame Boateng by selling his house without his concern. I rest my case." The judge hit his gavel declaring his judgement. Eleanor was being pushed out of the courtroom as the paparazzi took pictures of her and asked her questions.“What are your last words?" One of them asked. My mother, money and greed killed me. For the young ones out there be careful about what you wish for, it might be the death of you." Eleanor said as the walked out.Todd was helpless as the police dragged him to the police station. He was too cautious about being caught that he didn't realise when the police located him. It was a dead-end for him.Oh if I could turn back the hands of time.He lamented. The police took him in their jet as they flew him back to Ghana. When they reached the Kotoka internat
“Young woman, the man you married is the cause of your childlessness, you have t o seek God's intervention before it's too late." A young pastor said to Serwaa. She had parked her car in front of a supermarket and was getting stuff for her baby.“Ɛii, asɔfofoɔ aa moaba,sɛi aa na afɛ no aso, kyerɛsɛ wahu sɛ me wɔ sika nti no, me kunu yɛ sika adro, fi maniso kɔ ee (Prophets of doom, you've seen I'm a rich woman and so you're claiming my husband does money rituals, leave my sight)."She said to him.“Woman had I known is always at last." He said and walked off. She shrugged him off and continued with her shopping with no care in the world.“Kwesi, nansa niɛ aa wo piɛ afeɛ na wo ba (Kwesi, it's been three days you left and you're now coming)?"Aku asked as he walked into the house.“Madam Slay queen, do you think I would stay with you, having sex with you isn't interesting m
~ A few months later~Akosua rushed to the bathroom to puke her guts out. She had been feeling a little sick for a couple of days now.“Ma, ɛden na,ɛye wo(Mom, what's wrong with you)?" Maakua asked.“I don't feel too well." She told the girl as Kwame came from the kitchen.“What is it?" He asked spotting his wife's pale face.“I don't feel too good." She admitted.“We need to go see a doctor," Kwame said.“But you have to go to the house today, today's the day that evil woman leaves once and for all." She determined.“Don't worry dear, I've made Kwabena pose as the buyer, I would join him after we get back," Kwame added.“Alright love." She smiled at him. She was glad she was getting her home back.“Maakua, I'm taking your Mom to the hospital so do take care of the house," Kwame instructed.&
“Morning ɔdɔ(Morning love)" Kwame greeted Akosua who lay beside him peacefully. He had spent the night with her when he came visiting the previous day. They were sneaking around like two teenagers in love. “Hey, how was your night?" She lay smiling at her. “It was wonderful, I enjoyed you." He added moving close to kiss her as she moved her head. “Morning breathe." She added as she walked towards the bathroom to brush her teeth. It read 4:30 am. He had to prepare for work and drop Maakua at school. Even though she was well, the school had given her a two week grace period before she resumed. Akosua came out of the bathroom and headed to Maakua's room. She would sleep the whole day if she didn't wake her up. “Maakua" Akosua called knocking on the door as she opened it. She had just emerged from the shower when she heard her mother's knock on the door. “Good morning, darling you don't look good." She said to her. “I think I've started my menses, I saw blood in my underwear when I
“What is happening with my kids at all? Why did Todd decide to move to the Northern region all of a sudden? I know my son, there's something he's not talking about. And Eleanor too, what is she up to now that her name is almost everywhere?" Baafi asked herself sitting on her couch. Father, come to our aid. She silently prayed. Serwaa had finally given birth to her baby, that's what most people thought. They had finally adopted the one-week-old baby after a week of her fake delivery. Her mother had come to stay with them and was taking care of the baby girl, surprisingly, she looked like Leo. Yaa and Maabena turned the music on a little louder. They had gotten more money than they used to get before and they were excited. “The club isn't the best place to find a lover So the bar is where I goMe and my friends at the table doing shotsDrinking fast and then we talk slowCome over and start up a conversation with just meAnd trust me I'll give it a chance nowTake my hand, stop, p
“Hey," Kwame said as Akosua opened the door for him. “Hi, good morning" She responded ushering him inside. “Da!" Maakua called as she hugged her dad. It was a Saturday morning and he decided to come to check on them after his morning run. “Sweety, ɛtɛsen( How are you)?" He asked his daughter. Akosua was still sleepy so she retired back to bed leaving her husband and daughter to bond. “I'm fine Daddy." She answered. “Hey, let's do something for mom, she seems tired," Kwame suggested. “She stressed herself too much yesterday, that's why," Maakua confessed. Kwame and Maakua entered the kitchen to prepare food for Akosua. Eleanor checked the news headlines and once again she was on the front page. The caption read, " Eleanor Quansah is a gold digger" It further said: Eleanor found her way into Tullow Oil not to work but have an agenda of her own. She had an agenda before applying for a position at Tullow Oil, you want to know what her agenda was? Well, she had planned to seduce t
“Aidah, are you sure you know him that well to fall for him. For Christ sakes, you met him three days ago and you're already professing love? What if he's a criminal in disguise or has done something terrible and is on the run?" Kisiwaa, her best friend asked. “Kisiwaa, he's not a criminal, he's a sweet charming young man and isn't like any of my exes. I'm a successful 28year old woman. I'm rich, I have my own apartment here and houses in other regions, all I need is a man to share all of this with." Aidan told her. “I know Aidah, but be careful," Kissiwaa advised as she continued with her meal. “But Aidah, wanka ankyere me nea asiii wo ne Kent ntamu aa mogyae mepenna twe no ( You never told me what happened between you and Kent that led to your breakup)," Kissiwaa said. “Kissiwaa, asem wei na wɔ bɛ bɔ so no( Kissiwaa, is this what you want to talk about)?" Aidah asked her. “Yes, I want to know." She firmly added. “What really happened was that... Kent and I met long before we st
Akosua was being discharged from the hospital that day. Kwame was coming to take her to her house. He had told her his plans of getting rid of Eleanor, and until she was out of his house she had to stay with Maakua at her house and he promised to come see them every other day. “Da, I hope you stick to your promise, no browning(disappointment)," Maakua added as he initiated a curve. “I would stick to my promise dear, no fake promises, I've come to my senses." He told her. “It's good you did." She said earning a knock from her mother. “Ajeei(Ouch) Ma," She whined. “Fiii, fiii, is that how to talk to your father?" She asked. “Da I'm sorry." She pouted. “Its fine dear." He chuckled, forcing himself not to laugh. “Thanks for dropping us home and thanks for everything," Akosua said. “No need to thank me, I'm trying to make things right. I've regretted everything I did. I hope you find it deep within to forgive me." He pleaded. “Its fine Kwame, I've forgiven you already." She smile
“Ah, Eleanor why have you scattered my house like that? Do I owe you? Are any of your belongings here? Ha, what sort of life is that you better be very very careful. Be careful so you don't incur my anger or else you wouldn't like it." He fumed walking into the bedroom. He had come home to pick a few things and net his house in that state. He opened his safe and took all his important documents including that of the house and left a fake copy of the house documents in his drawer.Unknowingly to her, Nelson was Kwame's informant. He told him every move that Eleanor had taken. But he decided to play along, waiting to catch her redhanded.“Kwame I was trying to clean the house, nothing more or less, by the way, where are you going to?" She asked.“I have a conference and the venue is quite far from home so I'm stating at Kwabena's place until it's over. I'd see you in the office tomorrow." He said.“But you have a conference?" She ask
