45. Disagreement

After what felt like forever, the party finally came to an end and everybody had already left except myself, Alice, and Alejandro, who was having a conversation over the phone but I made up my mind not to pay any attention to him because I could honestly care less and all I wanted to do was talk with my sister.

"You really shouldn't have bothered to go this far for me Alice. I mean, I appreciate it but I just feel so bad you had to go this far and it's making me uncomfortable," I told her honestly.

"I genuinely don't understand you, Anna. What exactly is so wrong with what I did and how does it make you uncomfortable? Instead of saying all of this, just say thank you and let's end it there," she replied and I let out a frustrated sigh.

I wasn't surprised that she responded to me this way because I didn't expect her to understand why I wasn't comfortable with her gift. I honestly just wished she could be more open-minded to understand where I was coming from even though I had
