Chapter 417 No Use

Zoey had no recollection of what she had said in her sleep. She drew a complete blank. The only thing she could remember was Laurence pushing her down that cliff and into the abyss in her dream.

“Sorry for bothering you while you were sleeping. Why don’t we sleep in separate rooms for the time being? You’ll get a better night’s sleep. It’ll be better than this.”

And besides, she couldn’t control her nightmares.

Laurence was a light sleeper in the first place; it was no surprise he had been awoken so easily. He pressed his lips together. “No need,” he said calmly. He scanned her face for a few moments before continuing, “I was just curious about what I did in your dream.”

“I don’t remember,” Zoey answered, making up an excuse.

“Never mind then. It’s still night. Just go to sleep.”

“Right.”
