Two Hundred

CHAPTER 200

"S-should we do this?" Selena glanced at Ace who was now sitting beside her.

It had been an hour since Ace sat beside Selena, while the girl was immobilized behind the wheel of the car. They were silent, watching the dimly lit tunnel that Selena was familiar with. Ace held the gun in her hand, as if to emphasize that she would shoot Selena, if the girl dared to resist, or simply scream for help.

Ace had changed a lot. The murders he committed in the past, had shaped his current personality.

The man looked outside with sunglasses covering his eyes, so Selena couldn't be sure which direction Ace was actually looking. Selena didn't even dare to look over.

"Soon The Fixer's messenger will come, he will give me things and I will give him money," Selena said in a low voice, she was very depressed.

But Ace was sitting casually beside her. Raising one eyebrow, Ace replied to Selena's words. "After you make the deal, I'll follow The Fixer's man, I'll make him take me to The Fixer."

Selena ventured to look at Ace, but the gun suddenly pointed at her and made the girl close her eyes. With sweat pouring down her forehead, Selena tried to say, "T-this is not true, Ace. I already told you that The Fixer is not someone you can touch that easily." Selena ventured to open her eyes. The tip of the gun was still pointed at her head, it looked like it was ready to fire. "Are you going to shoot me, when I'm the only one who can help you meet The Fixer's men?"

"What do you want?"

"Please, put that gun down if we're talking."

Although Selena's voice sounded nervous, Ace could see the courage in the girl. Ace then turned his head and lowered his glasses. Ace's brown eyes stared hard, she didn't like the way Selena was trying to talk to her. Because Ace wanted Selena to submit to him.

"I don't know why you and Amanda are so fond of pointing a gun at me every time you talk. Is my life really that bad?"

Feeling sorry for himself, Ace lowered the gun in his hand. He crossed his arms over his chest and rolled his eyeballs lazily. "You sound like a victim now. Remember Selena, you're a drug courier, we're both the same. We are criminals. Don't think that you are a victim. And, quickly call The Fixer's men, we've been waiting here for an hour."

Selena swallowed, "I can't call them, I have to wait."

"That sucks."

After a few minutes passed, Selena's cell phone rang. Ace immediately looked away and saw Selena, gesturing for Selena to pick up the call immediately. And Selena obeyed Ace's orders without being able to resist at all.

"H-hello?"

[...]

"Okay, I'm going down now." Selena turned off the phone, she raised the phone in her hand into the air, showing the screen to Ace. "He's already here. I'll meet her in the tunnel."

Ace nodded, then put back on the sunglasses he had taken off earlier. He looked around, then said, "I'll watch you from here. If he moves, I'll follow him. You'll have to be quick. Don't let her realize she's being followed."

And Selena said nothing.

Selena then got out of the car, while Ace picked himself up, he got out of the seat and moved to the driver's side. Ace couldn't go out through the door, he had to hide because he had other plans. Ace intended to follow The Fixer's messenger, so that he could meet with The Fixer. Ace wanted to do business.

From a distance, Ace could see Selena meeting and talking to a large man. Vaguely, Ace could see that the big man had a tattoo on his right arm. It was a dragon tattoo. And when Selena returned, only then did Ace start the car engine to follow the man with the dragon tattoo.

"I need to see you, The Fixer," muttered Ace as he carefully followed the man.

The car engine hummed softly as Ace followed the dragon-tattooed man through the winding city streets. Selena sat in the passenger seat, her eyes darting nervously between the road and Ace, who seemed focused on the task at hand. The tension in the car was palpable, like an injured spring waiting to release its energy.

As they followed the mysterious messenger, Selena couldn't shake the feeling that meeting The Fixer would change everything. The air was thick with anticipation, and the city skyline loomed over them like a silent witness to the unfolding drama.

The man with the dragon tattoo led them to a nondescript warehouse on the outskirts of town. Ace parked the car at a safe distance, and they watched as the messenger disappeared inside. Selena's heart raced as she exchanged glances with Ace, both unsure of what awaited them inside the nondescript building.

Ace, with the same fierce determination that had defined him since their meeting, turned to Selena. "Wait here," he ordered, his voice leaving no room for argument. Selena nodded hesitantly, her mind torn between fear and curiosity.

Ace's eyes scanned the surroundings. This was an unfamiliar warehouse, Ace had never been there. There was an uneasy feeling inside her as Ace followed the trail of The Fixer's men, she went deeper, and deeper. Until finally he heard the conversation of two grown men behind the wall.

"Did you get the money?" It was a very unfamiliar voice, Ace judged that it had a distinctive feature.

"I did, boss. Here's your money."

And without waiting for long, Ace walked in and showed himself to The Fixer.

Everyone was surprised by Ace's presence, the man with the dragon tattoo even brandished a gun at him, ready to shoot on orders from The Fixer, his boss.

But The Fixer held him back. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, who is this?" he remembered Ace from the picture Angela had given him. "We have a special guest."
