Chapter 89 Part IV – Phase 4: Trust and Faith

Jett took his time hiding the shreds of evidence in the cabin. Not only was he making the hiding places secretive yet also very obvious, but he was also busy sorting out his thoughts. He thought she was done with that life. His mind drifted to that time he found her with blood-red eyes – only it wasn’t her blood, but his cousin’s. Gio was an asshole time and time again, but to think she easily killed him off was frightening. And it wasn’t only him. A lot of other guys died at her hands that night too.

It was not easy to move on from that.

No less to stop that kind of life.

Now that he’s found out the true nature of her job – agents that are similar to the paramilitary, whose missions include those that the police forces are unable or unwilling to take on – her unusual expertise in this was all the clearer.
