Claire's pov 

you always leave a part behind when you move on. there’s always a void created by a past experience that cannot be filled. there will be memories that’ll seem too hard to hide, but eventually, they’ll fade away. things take time, but they do change.

people often don’t understand how much time they should spend holding on to something. Trying seems to be easy, because ‘giving up is for the weak’. it’s not. when you give up on things or people that have been hurting you, you’re the strongest of all for doing that.

all the things come back to you when you try to give up on a relationship. you try to compromise, you try to lie to yourself, but when you step out, it feels liberating.
